When trying to play HTML5 videos embedded on a webpage in Firefox Android, there is no fullscreen button available (only pause and volume)... this with the fact that the Youtube mobile website will not play videos in-browser (you have to use the Android Youtube app) makes video playback very limited on Firefox Android... this is the only thing preventing me from leaving Chrome for good... any solutions? I can't even find any hint in the documentation that this is being worked on...

Firefox latest (non beta), Android 4.2.2, HTC One X.
At loss what to do at this point, if I can't get it fixed I'm switching firefox for chrome in a heartbeat because I keep losing so much time typing in extra information or deleting auto-fills information.

I have much praise for this browser which I have sideloaded onto my tablet. However I do have one complaint. The low resolution for Firefox's icon really shows when the icon is on the carousel (where icons are displayed in large format). It seems like such a simple request to get the Firefox icon upgraded, is there anything I can do to help that along?

Can I use Firefox Mobile Browser on an Android Gingerbread phone to edit a Google document (the word processing kind, not just the spreadsheet kind) within the Firefox browser itself? I am not referring to the Google Docs/Drive app, I mean directly editing within Firefox Mobile Browser itself? Are there any limitations to performing such editing? I want to get an Android 2.3 smartphone (no, not the Android 4.x ones) but wanted to make sure I could still view and edit my Google Docs (wordprocessing kind of documents). Thank you!

I often read google news on my android phone using a webbrowser for this. To get quickly on google news I placed a bookmark link for firefox and for comparison another bookmark link for chrome to open news.google.de on my android start screen.
When I tap on the firefox bookmark it takes about 8 sec until the content is visible. The browsers empty window is visible right away, but until content is visible it takes full 8sec. If I do the very same with the chrome bookmark, chrome starts up and displays the page in about 4sec. If I quit either of the browsers and do the same again the windows are up in 1 sec and showing news.google.de. After a while of doing nothing, say an hour, startup times are again as initially described (8sec, 4sec).
It also does not matter if I first run chrome and then firefox or vice versa, firefox take always much more time to display the initial webpage.
Basically I prefer firefox but since its really slow, for the moment I changed to chrome on android and on my other desktop systems.
I use a samsung galaxy S3 (android 4.3, problem happend in 4.1.2 as well), latest version of firefox from market (stable version) and network access is via WLAN.
Any idea what might cause this startup delay? Thanks Rainer

Firefox crashed yesterday but restarted alright with bookmarks in place. This morning after a reboot they are completely missing and the Firefox interface is different as well. I used ES File Manager to navigate to the profile folder but do not know how to recover bookmarks in Android. I would also like to understand why this happened to avoid a repeat of the problem.

Holding the power button and down volume buttons doesn't get me any options to do anything or the usual options that you need to wipe partitions install from sd card etc. How do I enable USB Debugging how do I transfer files to the phone it does not appear in my computer. Its all a complete disaster. Any help please

The crashes seem to happen on a wide-range of websites, with no particular causes. Looking at the about:crashes, it doesn't seem to be a specific reason in the crash report. For example, one of the latest crash reports is 824965b4-3b0f-4a81-846f-d7c062140117.
Any idea what could be causing these problems? Thanks!

I installed Firefox on Droid X using latest software OS update and Google Play to install. Browsed to a story on m.fanfiction.net and read 5 chapters. According to the OS monitor, the app used 43% of the full battery charge in this time. Using the standard browser provided on the phone, I use about 15% of the battery in the same time. What exactly is Fire fox doing while I am scrolling through a mostly text page?
