I have been trying to clear out the cache under settings (cookies & site data) (everything is checked under clear data) everything clears out except for 440 now 454 KB of disk space. I cannot get it to clear out. I even uninstalled fire fox and it was clear for a couple of uses and now it is back and instead of 440 it is now 454. ••• Cookies and Site Data Your stored cookies, site data, and cache are currently using 454 KB of disk space. I've been trying to watch live sports events on SECN+ through my Hulu subscription, but I'm encountering an error message stating, "The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported." I discovered that Firefox is blocking the stream, while it works perfectly on Chrome. With the college football season and other sports events approaching, I’m concerned that if this issue persists, I may have to stop using Firefox, which I've relied on for over two decades. I don't want to use passkeys, and it seems that every site is checking browser support and wasting my time with passkey prompts before allowing me to log in with a password. How do I disable passkey support in Firefox?

TOPIC: Extended Support for Firefox 115 ESR

First, let me extend a hearty thank you to everyone on the Mozilla team and in the community that is continuing work on 115 ESR. This is helping a number of people that cannot upgrade for various reasons.

115 ESR is the last hope for many who are stuck on macOS 10.12-10.14 or Windows 7-8.1. While these systems are considered *very* out-of-date (users who are still on them are often chastised) they have a place. macOS for example, completely removed any and all support for 32-bit software as of macOS 10.15 ("Catalina"). I have encountered people with needs for 32-bit to run older apps and so they often keep a system running 10.14 ("Mojave").

Now, can old 32-bit configurations be kept around and isolated offline? Yes. But for some out there who cannot afford to upgrade, or cannot be with out specific 32-bit software, they would be forced offline completely (assuming they follow best security practices, which many do not). I have personally deployed 115 ESR on a number of systems to help people in this situation.

For the time being, ESR 115 is permitting these users to stay online with some degree of security, at least where web browsing is concerned.

QUESTION: Besides active user count, what other factors are keeping 115 ESR in active security-only support mode?

When using the the chat especially when on either of my laptops. I think it would be useful to be able to minimize/hide the chat but not have it completely close so you can stay in the same session.

In my head I see it working by adding a simple minimize button next to the close button. When it minimizes, the icon for the chat can stay highlighted to alert that it is still active. Also, when switching from chat to other options like bookmarks, history or tabs. If there is a current chat open it should use the minimize behavior so the same chat is still active when you navigate back. So essentially the only time the chat closes or resets is when you close it.

I have version 143.0.3 (aarch64), running on a 2020 M1 mac. I did an update recently but I still have all of my bookmarks, that's not the problem. The problem is, although the space for the bookmarks toolbar appears when I click "always show" (and disapears when I select "never show"), I see nothing. Nothing shows up in this space and so I have to go menu diving to get to my bookmarks. Do you have an idea how to fix this?

I have included a website on the list of exceptions for deleting cookies when Firefox is closed. When I go to the website the icons on Firefox for it show "enhanced tracking protection off" and "You have granted this website additional permissions". This website uses cookies to recognize my computer and not to require a one time password. However, when I close Firefox despite the fact that the website is on the exception list, cookies are deleted and I have to keep re-entering the one time password. I did turn of the checkbox for deleting cookies when Firefox is closed and now I am no longer asked to enter the OTP after Firefox is closed.

I assume this is a bug. Does anyone else experience similar issues? Is anything I can do about it and be able to use the exception list as intended?

Over the years I have saved many bookmarks across several different devices. Therefore the bookmarks vary between devices. Is there any way that I can tidy up my bookmarks, deleting many of them, on my main machine and then have all the other devices Synch to that list only?

I have tried deleting ALL the bookmarks on the "subsidiary" devices and then synched them but that didn't work. I think I'm asking whether one device can be made the "master" for all the others to Synch to that one and none of the others.

I did update my Mac to IOS 26.0.1 and I have lost all the history and bookmarks, I have the "Sync" enabled with my browser.

All my important data has been lost, can you please look into this and help me please.

Please dont turn firefox into AI slop. The browser does not need "AI" shoved into it and currently the lackthereof is one of the only things keeping a large user base with firefox. Please please don't cram more AI down our throats. Again, no one wants this shit except MBAs.

What is apparently the official Firefox policy is incredibly dumb:

They provide users with that ability to add secondary email addresses, recovery codes, and authentification, BUT they REQUIRE access to the primary email address to make the secondary email address primary.

IF the primary email address is unavailable, the secondary email addresses, recovery codes, and authentification are completely useless for making the secondary email address the primary one.

This supposedly provides "enhanced security".

Pro Tip: If you deny ALL internet access, you will be very secure on the internet.

Genuinely astonished that Firefox Support thinks this is not insane.

I've set up a second profile to keep my personal and work browsing separate. When I reopen my non-default profile, it doesn't restore the previous session's tabs. I have "open previous windows and tabs" checked under Settings > General > startup in both profiles. Please advise.

I wish to export, and not copy, a digital certificate so that I can import it to Keychain on my Mac. The only option in Firefox Browser on Mac is to copy, which means it only opens as a TextEdit and cannot be imported.

Any recommendations?

Hi, I rebooted Firefox today because a website was frozen, and when it came back, it was asking for a troubleshoot or just continue, and I don't know exactly what that meant, but when I clicked on refresh, everything was changed, including the theme. And then when I tried to restore the theme back to the original it said, add-ons are disabled by safety, and I don't know what that means, and it's not explaining how to undo it. And now everything looks different and I'm not happy with it, and it's not really letting me add any other themes, and if I add them, they don't seem to fully load, the page still looks all white

Seems like when I tried logging in to my old account with a password reset, I somehow created a second account with the same email.

All my bookmarks and extension set ups seem to be gone.

Never had this issue, and have been using the same firefox account for like 5 years.

How can I transfer my bookmarks to the new version of Firefox. The bookmarks are still available from the drop-down top bar "bookmarks" but they don't show on the Firefox page. I don't know how to get to the "about:profiles" page to change back to the profile that shows my bookmarks toolbar.
