This is absolutely insane. I set up a email account(also did about a year ago) and I can not get back to my mail. Why in gods name is it so difficult? I have multiple email accounts with most all the major email websites and this one is utterly impossible to use. I just keep ending up in the same spot with no information to help get out of the endless circle. I don't even know if I could find my way back to here. I will give you my email address to try and get something more constructive than the past two days. I want to make mozilla products my main users for all my different platforms to simplify my life but I am having my doubts about thunderbird. So far it is a useless time waster. I'm shocked that this is under the Mozilla name. I normally associate Mozilla with high quality, easy to use products. Dell desktop running Mint Mate 22. Bookmarks missing about 50% of bootups. Saved bookmarks to both HTML and JSON during an occasion they did appear, when they next were missing attempted to restore them via Library pop-up (Manage bookmarks). I could not determine a path to direct the system to either locally saved file. In Library, selected Restore, which then asks me to choose file, but none of the data fields accepted or acted upon input. re-installed Firefox but same result. Then clicked on the saved HTML file, multiple screens flashed on the display, with multiple items in the tray. The final result was the bookmarks were all displayed as expected, but since the problem has been inconsistent, unknown whether they will display on future bootups.

Wish to have guidance on using the Library pop-up to restore saved bookmarks when they are missing. Perhaps some knowledgeable user could post a step-by-step through the restore process.

I am unable to sign in to my yahoo mail account. It gives me a fault that "something went wrong, please try another device". I can use brave as my browser and sign in with no problem but not with firefox. Any idea why?

Having a problem with an ATT POP account. TB stopped getting mail. After a minute and a half or so (wish it would time-out faster), I get a pop-up box in the top right of the screen that states: "Connection to server inbound.att.net timed out" and then quickly goes away.

Deleted passwords and cannot see where to create them again, as it never prompts me for new ones.

Using the Firefox 151.0 Mozilla Firefox for Fedora. Updated as of 23 May 2026, I use just a generic FireFox. I don't customize it, I just use it as it comes from the Fedora distribution.

I cannot save images (right click menu "Save Image As"). Nothing happens when that is selected. This worked a couple weeks ago.

Downloads are supposed to go to ~/Downloads. Checking the setting for this, Go to the three-line menu > Settings > General > Files and Applications, under Downloads, the "Save files to" value is set to Downloads, but the Browse button does not work to reset it. Nothing happens when I poke on the button. I can select the text in the box, but I can't change it.

I found the help page for "What to do if you can't download or save files https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cant-download-or-save-files and went thru every one of the steps there. None of them make any difference.

Strangely enough, there isn't even a "Downloads button" in the top toolbar. If I right click on the top toolbar and select "Customize Toolbar" it shows a downloads icon as already being in the toolbar, but when I click Done, it goes away.

Firefox has been crashing regularly for a full day now. I have one profile with multiple extensions, and a fresh profile that is meant to test firefox without any. With this new, "clean-slate" profile with none of my extensions installed, I still get repeated crashes. It is getting in the way of my ability to work- it happens even in Troubleshoot mode, even though I could not confirm any hardware issues prior to this.

Will I need to delete the extenstion-filled profile entirely before going forward? Is there an update I need to install, or anything else I should do myself? Should I provide a list of my extensions?

Attached is the Report ID of my latest crash- hopefully it will help.

I have a local file I wish to view in firefox without starting a HTTP server (it's only docs for a crate I'm building) however Firefox is unable to open the file despite the file existing and having correct permissions. The file was in a separate mount (disk) to where Ffox is installed so I copied to to /tmp/ to remove that as a variable but still no joy..

1. This could be under-reported problem. People will have problems reporting this bug

2. Whenever I try to save anything (image, website, Ctrl+S, print website to file, Ctrl+P, screenshots, same problem) my Firefox tries to "Open" something instead. I see dialog window with header SAVE, but the final button is labeled "Open" and after clicking it usually nothing happens. A haven't been able to save anything since this update. Only system-wide screenshots work for me now.

I had to use another installation in order to attach screenshot here. In the problematic 149.0, after clicking "Browse..." and selecting file, nothing happens, and no upload, moreover button won't respond to clicking anymore. Then I force refresh, and this text within this form disappears, but attached image appears.

3. Yesterday I have updated my Firefox to 149.0, using official debian sources, mozilla-deb - 1.0 -

In order to fill this form I am using separate installation 140.9.0esr (64-bit), you could warn Debian teams not to propagate this error.

5. I have checked Console and Debugger, but they seem website-related. This error happens on every single website. Tried already troubleshooting mode, same problem. Please help us.

When I tried to import my OpenGPG keys from the "Select File to Import...", I found that it cannot display the hidden files or directories.

Did I miss a setting for this? What can I do to show the hidden files?

I would like to ask for clarification regarding the distribution of Firefox through third-party packaging methods.

As I understand it, Mozilla's trademarks and branding are protected, and in some cases official permission may be required to distribute Firefox under the Firefox name and branding.

Within the Ubuntu Touch community, there is a method called "Crackle" that can repackage existing applications and make them available as installable "Clickable" packages on the platform. One of the applications that has been repackaged in this way is Firefox.

However, this Firefox package is currently not available in the Ubuntu Touch software store because there is concern that distributing it may require explicit permission from Mozilla.

My question is therefore:

Does a project or community need Mozilla's permission to distribute a repackaged version of Firefox through a software store? If so, what would be the correct process for obtaining such permission? Alternatively, if the software is merely being repackaged to provide an installation method on another platform, without modifying Firefox itself, is additional permission still required?

We would appreciate any clarification regarding Mozilla's policies on redistribution, repackaging, and trademark usage in this context.

As I store all my contacts in a CarDav sync I have no need for a "Personal Address Book". It might even be a problem because accidentily stored addresses there are not synced. The "Delete" on the context menu is grey and cannot be selected. How do I permantely remove "Personal Address Book" from the list of contacts?

Popup GUI elements if pulled up twice in quick succession spike my CPU usage and crash the program

some examples: -menu bar menus -the menu button -context menus (websites with their own context menus do not do this) -preview tooltips

I've tried disabling extensions, turning hardware acceleration off and on and disabling AI to no avail. Disabling the preview tooltips 'worked' but I'd prefer not to disable everything here. Are there any other settings that might help?

Hello! See the screenshot please: so, I downloaded à pay-bill, with Firefox (under ubuntu), in private navigation, and I get the file with a padlock-symbol at the end. What means that? What means that for me (on my computer), what means that for à friend, when I sent him the pdt-file (can he open it?). Nota: I understood that I can choose between "delete downloads when closing the privat window" or not. And I choosed not to delete them (but there appears this padlock-symbol). Thanks for your help! Recently Firefox was updated in Debian Linux now it is a pain Whenever I want to go to a website I get a lot of results almost all the time, see attachment the version now is 151.0.3 (aarch64) I ask some other group, I got never got help from one member just abuse, and screen shots that are wrong to my Firefox is.

Another person gave very good description, I was able to follow it and make a change, but it did not fix the problem

They play for a couple of seconds, then the panel they are playing in goes black. They used to work a month or two ago. Videos play fine in YouTube. They also play fine in apps like VideoPlayer and VLC. They play fine in Chromium based browsers Opera, Brave and Vivaldi. My graphics card requires switching acceleration off. I can’t find a switch for that in Firefox.

Problem Videos start playing, then after a few seconds the video panel turns black. Audio may continue. Refreshing does not help.

What works

   BBC News videos play correctly in Chromium-based browsers (Brave, Vivaldi)
   Videos play correctly in mpv/VLC
   Other video sites (e.g., YouTube) play correctly in Firefox

What I’ve tried in Firefox

   Disabling hardware acceleration
   Disabling VA-API
   Disabling WebRender
   Disabling RDD sandbox
   Running Firefox under X11
   Using the Firefox Flatpak build

None of these measures help. This suggests the issue is related to Firefox’s interaction with BBC’s player on Linux. Has anyone else seen this, or is there a known workaround?

After updating to Firefox 147 from 146, it seems that some areas in page rendering are becoming corrupted.

Using the attached example from https://soundcloud.com/solarstone/tracks, it is possible to see a corrupted song bar. In the other song, where the full bar chart should also appear, there is a black area, which seems like a different kind of corruption where the content is simply not being displayed.

This did not happen in version 146.

Is there anything I can do, or any information I can provide, to help debug this issue?
