I need to connect to my employers Citrix portal tot start a Citrix session for my daily job. The problem is that when try to login using my credentials nothing happens except for the loading icon of Firefox that keeps "spinning" (see image).

When I do the same in another browser, like Chromium for example, everything works fine.

I already tried the following steps:

- Installing an older version of the Citrix Workspace app - Reinstalling Firefox - Disabling the blocking extensions

I am using the following versions of components:

OS: Linux Mint Vanessa 21 Citrix Workspace app: 24.5.0.76 Firefox: 129.0

Other colleagues report the same issues when using Firefox whether in Windows of Linux.

Any help would be much appreciated?

I am using Firefox for Linux, and whenever my yubikey is plugged in, firefox will start bothering me for a pkcs#11 password. It always happens on start-up but it gets relentlessly annoying if I happen to be on a site which potentially utilizes certificate auth, which I do not use this yubikey for.

I do however use it for 2fa, which does work perfectly fine.

How do I permanently stop whatever Firefox process keeps bothering me about this PKCS#11 password for functionality that I never use?

How to disable Firefox add-ons in order to block to install temporary extensions. I am generating policies via Firefox Policy generator. {

Hi, I'm using Firefox 142 on Ubuntu 24.04. It's a fresh install. I cannot sign in icloud.com with Firefox even though it works with other browsers like Brave. I deleted all cookies and site data and disabled extensions (KeePassXC). It doesn't help. I tried in new private window. No success. I copy my password from a password manager, so, no, I haven't mistyped it.

Here's what I do:

1. Open Firefox and go to icloud.com
2. Click on the "Sign In" button
3. Enter my Apple-ID and click on the arrow on the right end of the "Email or Phone Number" field

At this point Brave behaves differently than Firefox. See below for how Brave behaves.

Firefox: -> A "Password" field appears (no buttons "Continue with Password" and "Sign in with Passkey")

1. Enter my password and click on the arrow on the right end of the "Password" field

-> Error message "Failed to verify your identity. Try again" appears. See icloud.png

Brave: -> Two buttons "Continue with Password" and "Sign in with Passkey" appear. See icloud-with-brave.png

1. Click on button "Continue with Password"

-> A "Password" field appears.

1. Enter my password and click on the arrow on the right end of the "Password" field

-> 2FA code is sent to my iPhone -> "Two-Factor Authentication" form opens... etc. complete sign in successfully

Unfortunately I cannot attach the HAR file from the login sequence because the password is included. However, I attached some screenshots from the Web Developer Tools. It seems to me that the login flow with Firefox is broken. I can't tell who's to blame, Apple of Firefox. The error message with Firefox is always the same, no matter whether I enter the correct password or rubbish. In Brave, however, there is a more precise error message when I enter a bad password. Hi. I was just looking at Google Photos on both Firefox and Chrome. Chrome had a bigger picture because the window had only the tabs bar and the address bar, and Firefox has an additional title bar. I was wondering if it would be possible to remove the title bar so the picture on both browsers were the same size?

Firefox’s built-in translation feature actively gets in the user’s way.

When translation is actually needed, it often does not offer the translation function at all.

Google sometimes links to Reddit pages that have been automatically translated into Korean by AI.

That specific page appears in Korean, but when you go back to the Reddit homepage, it appears in English.

However, Firefox’s built-in translator still recognizes the site as a Korean website.

Even though all the page content is in English, the translator incorrectly offers the option “Korean → English” instead of the correct direction.

There needs to be a shortcut or option that always translates “English → Korean” when the user wants it.

Firefox should not decide when to translate or which language to translate. That choice should belong to the user.

Additionally, a dedicated keyboard shortcut for translation is needed.

I used the built-in translator for a while, but the inconvenience became so significant that I gave up and reinstalled a translation add-on.

Is this the right place to post this suggestion?

I try to set up Firefox Sync on Firefox on a VM on Fedora. I enter my e-mail and password. Then I get the message (after retrying): "Email resent. Add accounts@firefox.com to your contacts to ensure a smooth delivery." However, I do not get the email with the confirmation code.

My email address has this format j@xxxxx.org

I'm using a VPN on my computer and phone and when I try to connect to the mail server, Thunderbird gives me an error saying that the mail server has disconnected. But when I disconnect from the VPN, everything works. This happens only with one mail server, on the others everything works OK even via VPN.

However, the the mail from this server is coming to my phone (where I use K-9 Mail).

I also tried to connect to the mail server via openssl, with the command "openssl s_client -connect mail.server.net:993 -crlf"

The connection is successful (when I'm on the VPN), but when I enter the command "a LOGIN my.username MYPASSWORD", it gives an error:

a NO [UNAVAILABLE] Maximum number of connections from user+IP exceeded (mail_max_userip_connections=20)

I have set the "Maximum Number of server connections to cache" to 1 in Thunderbird, I have set to check for mail every 12 minutes (it already was 15 minutes on the phone before), and it is still the same.

Any idea how to solve the issue? I am connecting to this server with the same username and from the same (VPN) IP only from my phone and my computer, so I find it really strange that there are more than 20 simultaneous connections...

Hi all. I have been using firefox with ubuntu 22.04 for about since when ubuntu 22.04 was released (2022).

On firefox, I usually use the nordpass and tab grouping extensions. For the third or fourth time in a row, firefox has simply vanished from my system from day to night.

I click the icon and nothing happens. I try typing "firefox" in the terminal and get

   Command '/usr/bin/firefox' requires the firefox snap to be installed.
   Please install it with:

   snap install firefox

Even if I accept the bizarreness of snap simply deciding from one day to another that I don't have this package (or did I never have it and never needed it in the first place?) and try "snap install firefox" I get:

   snap "firefox" is already installed, see 'snap help refresh'

After reading the result of "snap refresh help" I decided to "snap refresh" to update all of it's packages. Still, "snap install firefox" and "firefox" keep giving me the same result.

What is happening here?

I upgraded my version of Firefox from an ESR version to v129.0.1 on Debian 12. Drag and drop of files from the desktop or the file manager (PCManFM-Qt) into the browser stopped working. It is still working properly in Chrome.

This occurs with several web apps but, as an example, it occurs when trying to drag a jpeg into Roundcube Webmail while composing a message.

No browser console errors are genrated when trying to do this. It occurs in Troubleshooting (safe) mode as well. In apps that pop-up a "Drag files here" target, that target still appears but dropping the file on it does nothing.

Hi, I'm using Linux Mint 22, Firefox 129.0 (64-bit). Browser is hanging after approximately 4 hours. Not sure if this is a Firefox issue, but this is where I'm starting the troubleshooting process. My suspects are (1) the browser, (2) NVIDIA drivers (3) the new Linux Mint kernel or possibly (4) a mix of the above. This was a fresh install with default options on (Wilma). Using the latest graphics drivers for GeForceRTX 2060, driver version 555.58.02, went down to native drivers, no change. Honestly, this one has me baffled. Been troubleshooting this for 3 days. It feels like a memory leak. Nothing on the crash reports. First, browser will hang, then mouse and keyboard. Hard reboot is the only option. Any help would be appreciated.

I am using Firefox v140.0.1 Snap on Kubuntu 25.04, Kernel 6.14. Since the Firefox update in the past couple days, the mouse cursor has started appearing huge and slightly blurry (as though the image is scaled up) in Firefox and nowhere else. The size is visually annoying, and occasionally difficult to know exactly where I'm clicking (trying to move the caret in a text box for example). It also appears to be a different style from the main desktop cursor, the shape and color are ever so slightly different, but this may already have been the case and I simply didn't notice because of the previously small size. Firefox doesn't have its own built in cursor settings that I can find, nor obey the system cursor settings. I have a high DPI display so perhaps it is being over-compensated for? e.g. both the system and Firefox are scaling the cursor up, assuming the other hasn't done it already, resulting in a cursor that's too big.

I'm unable to login to account.apple.com on my laptop which is running Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS.

I've launched Firefox using the `-p` option, created a new profile and then navigated to https://account.apple.com/sign-in and tried to login. I've attached a screenshot of the error message.

I had tried multiple things on my default profile, even troubleshoot mode, but I couldn't get it. I even tried useragent switcher to no avail.

I can login to the site using Chromium.

What else can I try?

First off, apologies - I don't know if this is a YouTube problem, a Steam Deck problem or a Firefox problem. I haven't been able to figure out the cause of this problem for months so I'm trying you guys because you're more responsive than YouTube has been so I'm really hoping it's a Firefox problem.

Basically since early June I've been getting "an error occurred" errors for YouTube videos of approximately an hour. Longer videos and shorter videos tend to play fine, but I get the issue with videos under ten minutes sometimes as well.

This only occurs in Firefox on my Steam Deck (SteamOS). Other browsers and other devices are fine.

I have cleared my cache, cleared cookies, disabled extensions and logged in and out of YouTube to no avail. The problem still occurs in troubleshoot mode and updating Firefox hasn't fixed it.

Would appreciate any troubleshooting tips and again, apologies if this ends up not being a Firefox problem, I just don't know what else to try at this point.

I don't know if this ever worked in FF, since I've been on Chrome a while. I tried canvas.toBlob() in FF without a solution.

The behavior is the same whether the served image is jpg or webp. A Servlet delivers the image data, here in webp:

After updating FF to v. 136.0 in Linux Mint 22.04, I noticed a problem with video playback in Facebook in some posts. A black screen appears with the message "Sorry, there were problems playing this video". The problem also occurs after disabling all plugins and deleting the user.js file from the profile. The problem does not occur after starting firefox in troubleshoot mode, but then hardware acceleration using the GPU does not work (Compositing: WebRender (Software)). I come, trying to manage my disappointment and anger, to say only one thing: I love Firefox, it (still) has the best UX of any modern browser. And part of that is that it has NO AI malware built into it. The recent statements from the CEO regarding the implementation of AI into the browser is extremely disappointing, to the point of it feeling like a personal betrayal, and will only make me (and a lot of other people) just completely abandon it. And don't kid yourselves, your user base never was so low, and that user base only like this browser specifically because it has no malware built into it, because of the privacy and open nature you had before this debacle. You're shooting yourselves on booth feet and an arm with a shotgun. I don't trust you as a company anymore at all; you just achieved the complete opposite of what you said you wanted. If you just made use of reverse psychology and was that's your actual goal, congrats. This company quite literally couldn't have elected a worse person to be chief executive.
