I am trying to set the home page on my Samsung S21 with android v13 and firefox v117. I cannot find any means for setting the home page. The customize homepage in the top (3 button) menu has no option for setting a different home page.

The homepage option under settings gives you exactly the same options as above.

The customize option under settings applies only to the theme and has no options for managing the home page.

Unfortunately every version of firefox is different and all the instructions I have found apply to different versions of firefox than the one I am using.

I was going to switch from Chrome to Firefox on my iphone, but FF is telling me I need to set up Touch ID/passcode to use the saved passwords feature. I don't want to do this and don't see a way around it. Is there any option to decline this? If not, I guess I'll be stuck with Chrome for now! Couldn't find an answer to this anywhere. Would love some help.

Is there any information on if the new EU regulations on side loading / alternative app stores will allow for non WebKit based browsers on iOS and iPadOS?

I keep hoping a way will pop up to get extensions working on iOS and iPadOS, and it seems being unbound from Apples App store may also bypass the WebKit regulation. Does anyone know more information about this?

Hi,

I noticed that on Brave or any chromium based browser (Android), I would be able to just simple highlight part of an URL and then the whole url would be automatically selected. This behaviour is not possible on Firefox (Android) and I would have to manually select the whole URL myself. Please see here for a clearer picture: demonstration Is there a setting that I can possibly turn on to have the same function as in Brave or chromium browsers?

Thanks

I am currently trying to customize the Firefox browser for Android and have encountered a hurdle. Specifically, I want to change the 'permissions.default.image' setting according to the host of the website being visited.

I have searched through the source code, but I'm unable to locate where this preference is being modified, which is adding to my difficulties. I'm uncertain about the next steps to take.

Could anyone please guide me on how to implement this functionality, or direct me towards relevant resources or documentation that could help me? Any leads or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Best regards

I've already attempted to implement this in the GeckoEngineSession in the override fun onLoadRequest method, as that's where the host is loaded. Unfortunately, I haven't had any success with this approach.
