My option for night mode to invert the colors for websites has suddenly disappeared from the menu. If I go to settings I can turn on dark mode but it does not work for a lot of websites. How can I get night mode back?

The instructions are wrong and convoluted. How can I scan a QR code if it is on the iOS device???????? Mozilla just doesn't know how to get around the iOS limitations.

I will no longer use firefox on my iPAD if I can't sync my bookmarks from my Android/Windows bookmarks.

Firefox v122 is running on an Android 8 tablet.

1. Are the "about:config" configuration settings still supposed inaccessible for this version?

2. Will these "about:config" configuration settings eventually become available again?

3. Is the interim solution still to install the Nightly version?

I am using Firefox nightly on Android. About two weeks ago I noticed that my toolbar got moved to the bottom after some update, while address bar is still at the top. I tried looking for it in settings but couldn't find anything about toolbar, that's weird since I was able to customize it a few years ago when I installed Firefox for the first time. So I looked it up on the internet and they say that it's in Settings/Customize/Toolbar, but in my browser settings instead of Toolbar there is Address bar settings. Has toolbar's settings been moved somewhere else? It looks like in previous versions it was under Customize section.

I updated and now "Settings" & "Quit" aren't in the ︙menu. They're hidden and I have to swipe up a second time to see them. This interferes with my workflow, as I use "Quit" dozens of times a day and it used to be effortlessly accessible via a single finger flick.

How do disable this hiding of "Setting" and "Quit"? Is there an about:config option I can toggle?

I am using Iceraven-2.23.1 (Build #2016045162), which is based on Firefox for Android and allows all users to use about:config

(If there is no about:config to disable it, let me know the last version before this was changed, and I'll use that instead.)

I realize that if a file is served with mime type Content-Type: application/pgp-encrypted, then its extension is changed by Firefox on Android to ".pgp". Apparently, Firefox for Android likes to modify extensions based on mime type.

Can this behavior be disabled?

I'm on Firefox 127.0 (42448) ios and all my private tabs were closed on update and now whenever I make a private tab it disappears after the app is closed or refreshes. It's kind of behaving like the setting where private tabs are closed automatically but when I looked in the privacy settings of firefox ios it's not there anymore. Does anyone else have this issue? I know theres an existing problem with tabs for firefox but I don't think this is exactly the same because my normal tabs are totally fine.

Just as the title goes. I've been using Mozilla Firefox on desktop since 2005. The best hands down browser ever. I started using Firefox on android back in 2019.

I still love the android version, but my only problem with it is tabs. They stay open constantly. In the desktop application you close out and all the tabs close. In the android version I swipe up and there still there next time I load in. I don't like this at all. Unless I quit out of Firefox from the submenu, the tabs will stay open indefinitely.

I was hoping Mozilla could add an option to auto close tabs in 6 hours or something like that. Or close out tabs when I swipe up in android.

I have moved about 20 friends and family to Firefox and it's always going to be Firefox from now on. You guys rock!

I use FF on PC.

2 issues I have with android FF.......

I want my tabs like in the PC version,in a line across the top. Not hidden under a click me to see tabs.

History keeps showing in shortcuts,how to stop that?

With version 124 of Firefox, the ‘Dark Mode’ theme no longer works. Whether I set the theme to “Use System Light/Dark Mode” or if I manually set the theme to dark, it still always shows ‘light’ mode. FYI, my iPad settings are set to ‘Dark’ mode.

I prefer to read white text on a black background - much easier on the eyes! In earlier releases of Firefox, I was able to enjoy reading stories. Now I must set my iPad (manually whenever I want to use Firefox to read) to ‘Smart Invert’ (which will switch the Firefox window to dark mode), then turn off ‘Smart Invert’ to do anything else on my iPad.

Hi, this issue has been present for a long time for me, and with many versions of Firefox Nightly for Android.

I'm always using the latest nightly for browsing Youtube only, with a set of specific settings and addons (since we can't use profiles on Android yet)

My problem is I've configured the Homepage to never show anything but a few URLs I chose to pin, you can see my settings and my homepage in the screenshots attached.

Despite the "Recently visited" setting being disabled, sometimes, but not everytime, the last pages I visited are added to the Homepage, after the pinned sites. I have no idea what triggers it or not, if I'm doing something wrong or if it's a bug.

Hello, "desktop view" is very useful, and I use it for LinkedIn because the "mobile mode" is shitty (I guess to make/force people to install the proprietary and closed source LinkedIn app).

I found that "desktop view" is stopping working while activated, when you always keep a tab opened for days... I have to close the tab and open a new one to make "desktop view" working again.

I found too that "open in a new tab" action is not inheriting the view mode of the parent tab and that an issue when browsing the same website.

Could it be possible to have "desktop view" enable by default based on visited website?

Ok, so first everyone needs to know I love Firefox, I have never donated a cent to Firefox. I think I have burned by FIREFOX MOZILLA HOW? I am not sure, because I am not an expert as all of you, but: I uninstalled Firefox because my iPad kept freezing and does not move on my iPad and all my four phones. While reinstalling Firefox, I see that one of their products called Monitor said my accounts have been compromised about 700+ instances. Then I proceed to find out how my accounts and private data was compromised? Well when I saw the list, you can imagine how long IT IS??? well, I was given a choice do it by paying $8+ a month/yearly and or manual; so what is the question how my addresses got compromised if I only use Firefox, Isn’t Firefox the self appointed SUPER GREAT BROWSER AND ADVOCATE FOR SECURITY AND INTERNET USER RIGHTS AND SO ON? Well again I am not an expert, but what I’m am so FXXXXXG burning stupidity it is that when I attempted to use the service, the FUNDAMENTAL QUESTIONS OF SECURITY your FUL NAME, YOUR DATE OF BIRTH, YOUR CITY AND STATE. How to disbale most visited websites get automatically added in homepage of Firefox android browser ?

I kept shortcuts option enabled to add shortcut manually as per user choice. I don't want browser to add most recently visited websites to get add as shortcuts in tile form in homepage of firebox browser.

Is there any config to disabled for this issue ? Please help

Hey, not sure if there was an update but night mode/reader is no longer an option available in the bottom right menu. The inverter is my favorite feature; I hope it’s not going away permanently.

I gotta ask... why isn't there a setting to remove private browsing on firefox? Now yeah sure it's free security but we got add ons for that. I've always felt like private browsing and incognito stuff is just a way to go to pornhub feeling secured from criticism. That's why I quit Chrome (+ being able to watch YouTube with ads for free) so I gotta ask again... why isn't there a setting to remove private browsing on firefox?
