Sorry, but to be honest with every update FF becomes worse and worse. It's sad because for me it is (on the edge already to say it was) the best browser.

After the latest update I have one more issue - when cleaning history manually (besides that that time Adobe Flash process opens even on a blank tab and I close it from Task manager) the CPU usage becomes extreme. I always clean my history manually, because I wanna chose what to be Forget That Site or only Delete Page (so to keep the cookies for certain pages). I do this everyday. CPU usage jumps up to 90% and when I close FF it stays in Task Manager forever with 60% CPU usage and can't close itself. I need to end FF process every time.

Because all recent issues I disabled many addons. When Googled issues with Adobe Flash (which also might mess with history cleaning) I read some blame AdBlock+ or/and NoScript that in their job of blocking ads and scripts they could cause FF slowness and high CPU usage.

I thought I was (or still am) having a problem with Windows 10, but one tech said she didn't think so and I don't know if I will get a response. +++++++++++++++ Before I go into great detail here, I'm going to state what happened and see if you had anything similar or it rings a bell.

BSOD - no code given. The error is always KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE.

The past three incidents (last night and twice today) were when I was in outlook.com email and right clicked on a website.

 I can read other email and click other links, but when I click on THIS company, I get the BSOD.   Event viewer simultaneous errors are "Update Windows license and product key tokens failed with 0x80070005."
  No driver errors and I checked Driver Update. No malware or viruses (several scans).  I have an event viewer full of the same information, which I am happy to provide.

I did the May cumulative update on Saturday and subsequently had four BSOD shutdowns. I posted to Microsoft, as I did last month when their CU crashed my computer. I have had BSODs every days since Saturday. I tried reinstalling the updates and it crashed my computer again.

(Additionally, I keep getting "Firefox Not Responding" on 46.0.1, so I uninstalled and did a manual install a couple of hours ago. Unfortunately, within a minute of the new install, I had three consecutive "Firefox is not responding" messages. )

Bookmarks are still there if I use the menu, but do not display on the bookmark toolbar. I have tried all the suggested solutions. I have restarted Firefox. I have turned the bookmarks toolbar on and off. Nothing has worked. Also, if I add a new bookmark to the toolbar, it does not display. I cannot drag a bookmarklet to the toolbar.

After successfully logging in to Office365 (work), an attempt to click MAIL or CONTACTS results in a hang and blank screen. This does not happen in IE. After letting FireFox sit for a minute or two, the BACK arrow display shows a long list of "continue" entries as if in a loop. I have tried starting FireFox with AddIns disabled (safe mode) and get same result.

Any clue?

I have been running Firefox 64Bit on Windows 7. Recently I have been having problems trying to watch movies online, Firefox keeps returning a message that the Shockwave player was out of date, you go to the link but it returns you to the same page. Finally figured out that it only supports updating the 32Bit version.

Uninstalled the 64Bit version, rebooted computer as advised, downloaded the 32Bit version. Ran an update on adobe flash player then ran the install for the 32Bit version of Firefox.

The extractor runs quickly but then nothing else happens. I have shut down and downloaded a fresh copy of the 32Bit version again and again the extractor goes through perfectly and again nothing else happens. I have tried this process with both the full and stub versions with exactly the same results.

Why will it not install?

Fresh, clean install of W10 and Firefox. Entire installation appeared small but W10 responded to changes in Display tools to normalize. Firefox did not. Though web content appears same as Windows 10 windows, the Firefox toolbar and menus are extremely small. Fix?

I have do not have any mobile devices. But I like the Marketplace and the games. It states if I get to FF 48 it is history. I have FF 46.0.1. After upgrading it from 45, it all stopped working. I tried following the directions. But I am a simple minded person and have problems comprehending this stuff. I spent a week correcting a virus the .5 stuck in the computer

Now I would like to install Marketplace since I do not have auto updates. Can anyone tell me the easiest way.

I would like the "... - Visit" and "Search with ..." entries not to show up when I type an address in location bar. So far, it was possible to do so by setting browser.urlbar.unifiedcomplete to false but this pref has been removed in Firefox 49 (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1223728).

In Nightly 49.0a1, adding the following to userChrome.css works and hides the "Search" entry:

The following works for "Visit" entry but after every Firefox restart, the first time I type an address, it shows zero items in the drop-down:

If I add both these snippets to userChrome.css at the same time, none of them work. Both "Visit" and "Search" entries are still visible.

I have a weird problem. About a week ago, I noticed my theme wasn't loaded properly, so I went to the AddOns tab and, strangely, it's text, as though the style sheet forgot to load. I went to the Mozilla website to download a new theme, thinking this may fix the error.

And... It's all text, too. All Mozilla pages, exclusively, are text-only. All other websites function as normal. I returned to the AddOn panel and noticed that anything that may be "hosted" by a .mozilla website loaded as text. (However, not mozilla.com websites, just (something).mozilla.com websites.)

I have combed through the troubleshooting options (using Chrome, that's what I'm posting from now) and have tried everything. Cookies/history/whathaveyou cleared out. Firefox uninstalled and reinstalled seven times now. A few times I entirely deleted the Firefox folders as instructed. I even tried Nightly to see if it was just a weird bug with the current build of Firefox. Then, conversely, I tried an old build of Firefox.

All do the same thing. Sure, it works *okay*, but if I need anything from Mozilla, I'm out of luck.

Upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 went fine, but I notice that the Roboform toolbar is missing in Firefox in my wife's Standard User local account (but it IS there in IE11). The toolbar shows up as normal in both browsers in my Admistrative local user account. In Firefox, clicking on View/Toolbars does not show Roboform as an option. I've tried uninstalling Roboform and re-installing the most recent version but the same thing occurs.

Can anyone provide a solution to get the toolbar to show up?

control++, control+-, and control+0 all work as expected, but if I'm not quick enough to let go of the control key, or if I just press the control key all alone, the web page I'm on (including graphics) or the email body I'm looking at in Thunderbird just get larger and larger. The problem seems to be limited to Mozilla as the other browsers, Word, etc. don't exhibit this behavior.

I have no idea what combination of keystrokes caused this! I have rebooted.

I'm trying to troubleshoot an issue that seems to be specific to FireFox and a specific website.

If you browse to www.denali.gov with FireFox, and then on the right side of the page click on "Denali Commission Project Database", FireFox will first pop up a message that says: "Your connection is not secure"

Then if you click on Advanced and click the "(Not secure) Try loading www.denali.gov using outdated security" that page will fail to load with the following error message:

"An error occurred during a connection to www.denali.gov. The server rejected the handshake because the client downgraded to a lower TLS version than the server supports. Error code: SSL_ERROR_INAPPROPRIATE_FALLBACK_ALERT"

Before anyone says "have you tried searching our forums or Google?", I've been researching this issue for the past hour and have not been able to come up with a solution. I checked the TSL settings on the "about:config" page and changed the version.min settings, but that does not fix the problem.

I have not been able to come up with anything, and so I turn to you guys... :-)

Has anyone seen this issue before and has a fix? The error is easily reproducible: Browse to the page using FireFox and I'm sure you'll see the same error.

However, the page loads fine in other browsers. Except, I don't want to use other browsers; I want to use FireFox.

Hi, there! I am close to Firefox more then 10 years, but the last one I see that Firefox overload my old Macbook A1260 C2D processor and overheat it. Mostly it appears using Adobe Sockwave. May be anyone can recommend any other plugin instead of it. It seems possible, just because Chrome is more friendly browser to my Mac :(

Hi all, I am seeing this problem since I wiped my computer and installed Windows 10 a couple of days ago. Just to clarify, everything was fine on Windows 8.1, which I was previously using.

I see that fonts are not correctly renderded, there is a lot of aliansing and they're quite thin. They are ugly. The problem is well described in this ticket. https://support.mozilla.org/it/questions/1115938.

I have tried to reset Firefox, run withot plugin, nothing changes. Here you can find values I see in about:support. I use Firefox in Italian, i have translated these values in English. I don't remember what values I had in W8.1, but my suspect is that my GPU (AMD HD7950) is not detected/enabled correctly by Firefox. http://pastebin.com/QEmYBXpp

I am a total dummy when it comes to computers. I have enough knowledge to be dangerous. One of the features I have really enjoyed is pocket. I have been having problems with my computer.(OS Windows Vista) I live with my brother and last night, my brother disabled my computer and moved my data to his(OS Windows Vista). In the process, somehow all my pocket data has been lost. the rest of my Firefox attributes seem to be working just fine but I cannot get my old pocket data to show up in the sidebar. Should I just kiss my old data goodbye or is there hope?

Yesterday I've got a report from one company about Firefox update being blocked by their firewall. Once it's on, the update fails. Turning it off fixes the update problem, but also open their network, which is not desired. I advised to whitelist domains mentioned in article https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Setting_up_an_update_server (aus2.mozilla.org and download.mozilla.org), but seems it did not help. Firefox update still failed with "Update failed" message. So what servers Firefox needs access to during the update process so they can whitelist them?

EDIT: Just to add, before whitelisting the mentioned domain, Firefox won't be able to even find the update. Now the update if found, but fails when downloading.

Whenever I try to set it as my default via the options, nothing happens, aside from it ticking the "Always check if Firefox is your default browser" box. I tried every method on here, and on other forums and nothing has worked. I cannot make it my default browser via the 'set default programs' method because Firefox does not appear there, and, again, I found no answer that helped me add it to that list.

I've had no problems with this before, but today, Firefox began blocking legitimate sites such as google. ca It tells me my connection is not secure. Error code: SEC-_ERROR_UNKNOWN_USER

My security settings have not been changed, so I don't know where to even start solving this problem.

I'm not a computer wiz, so would appreciate support that I can follow...

Hello more advanced users, I have always used firefox however I have never faced an issue like this, it might sound weird to you all but all of sudden, literally all of sudden without me doing anything the Firefox ENTIRE window become fully transparent like you can see in the following pic: http://i.imgur.com/lFk0l1f.jpg

I have already started firefox in safe mode, reinstalled, deleted the entire users folder and started over again and NOTHING simply NOTHING stops this fully transparency, the only temporary fix I found was installing an addon called GlassMyFirefox that was supposed to add transparency to it but then made the opposite finally giving me the normal look to firefox (however every time I reboot the system the full transparency returns even with the addon so I am forced to Reinstall it so it kills the transparency again)

I have ran out of ideas even a full reinstall deleting everything (used Iobit unistaller and cleaned roaming folder) couldn't stop my firefox from going full transparent... I wonder if this issue has ever occured before and if anyone could happen to know how to fix it because firefox is unusable with that level of transparency and like I said I only use firefox no chrome or Edge or anyother browser therefore I need a fix hehe

Hi. This is more of a bug report.

In Firefox, I can get a tab almost off screen to the left, with a blank space next to it, and other tabs. The only part then still reachable is half of the close button.

The way I get this is as follows:

Open Firefox. Open a second and third tab. Reduce the size of the browser to about half the screen. Drag the first tab outside the browser, so it will open as a second standalone browser window on the other half of the screen.

The second tab on the first browser window (now the first tab) will then be this weird tab too far left.

The fix is to click the half visible remains of the close button of the weird tab. It will disappear. But this isn't an option if that tab actually is in use. The only way to get back to it after using another tab is CTRL + SHIFT + TAB-ing.

I hope this gets fixed soon. I've attached a screenshot of the top of this very page with said weird tab next to it.
