While it is "typing", I can see the link, but when it finishes "typing", the link becomes a blue word "Link", with the web address gone. I can not click on it to open the website, like I can in Mirosoft office. There is no way to access the website. I tried to use troubleshooting mode with all extensions disabled - it didn't help. ChatGPT claims, that it's the browser issue. How can I access these links?

Sometimes I occured the situation that the mailbox's size on server lik 500Mb the IMAP catalogue took 80Gb of disk space. What might be the reason. Using 'cleaning' option does not help. When I send email with an attachment (not very large attachment) it takes forever and then I eventually get a message back that the out going server has timed out and the message is then automatically saved in my Draft folder. However, it seems the message and attachment are actually sent and received by the recipient. Is the system not recognizing that the message is complete and just stays in the send mode until the server times out?

I am currently using TB 115.9.0 (64 bit) but this problem has existed for a number of recent versions. I have a similar second machine with the same setup and version, same email accounts, and this does not occur so the problem is specific to this machine.
Many times when moving or deleting emails TB freezes up and becomes unresponsive for 5-10 seconds. For example I will delete a spam email and then I can't do anything with TB at all (everything else in Windows 10 works fine during this period and I can for example browse in FF). There is no indication of any problem. I tried compacting and repairing every folder and nothing changed. A while back someone suggested I delete some index file and I did that, it took a couple of days for TB to re-index everything, but the problem persisted through that.
This is very annoying as I get a lot of spam and also file a lot of emails into folders and this really slows me down, having to keep trying to click on something and drag until it works etc.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Firefox runs fine most of the time. If I right-click to download an image, or click a link to download a PDF or other file, or Save HTML, I see the "Save file" dialog, click Save and then Firefox freezes up for a while, maybe a minute or two. Pages won't scroll. I can't switch tabs. I can bring up a different firefox window and it redraws its contents, but I can't scroll or do anything else.
This didn't happen a month ago, then one day after a system upgrade, it happens every time. I'm using FF 123.0.1 on Arch Linux. 64GB RAM, so it's not a memory shortage. I have upgraded one or two times more since the upgrade when this appeared. Chromium is not affected, Thunderbird is fine, and all other software continues to be fine as before, including when saving files. Only FF has this problem.
What is the problem and solution? Are there ways to gather more info to diagnose the problem, if needed?

When I create a new folder in Local Folders, the new folder shows in the list and also appears in the local directory. However, if I close and then reopen TB, the newly created folder does not show in the list of folders in the Local Folder even though it still appears in the local directory, and I can see that the new folder contains data by the file size. I still have old sub-folders that I created some time ago available as normal in the Local Folder and I'm wondering if the issue may have been caused by switching from pop3 to imap a while ago as the folders I can still see were created prior to the change - but I'm guessing. Lately Thunderbird is very, very slow to send or receive email from POP3 Gmail. I've noticed the slowdown a while ago, and hoped that a reinstall would fix the issue. But it does not.
I am using a fresh snap install of 115.9.0 on a fresh Ubuntu 24.04, with calendars disabled.

Seems that Thunderbird waits for something that never happens, and actually checks mail only after something times out.
How can I fix this? Do you have any suggestion of what to try?

It downloaded 28 emails but will not let me see/access them.

I am running Firefox. When I open the Task Manager, it shows that there are 13 Apps listed for Firefox with 1 for Runtime Broker. I have only 2 tabs open. Task manager shows that all together the Firefox apps are using only 0.4% of CPU, but are using 521.3MB of memory. When moving around the different apps I am using, the non Firefox apps are running more slowly due to the amount of memory used by all these Firefox accounts. I want to know what are these apps and why are they there when I have only the 2 tabs open?

I can no longer sort emails by date. I did find “Sort by – date” in the right hand menu but it’s greyed out. Since I’ve noticed tags are underlined when a new email has come from the same source, but the option to view only tags are greyed out too. So I have an impossible jumble of emails “sorted” by sender and without taking all morning, I’m left with no idea what new emails I’ve received!
I’ve only one sensible option left. I still have my old computer that runs on “outdated” software. I can consult Old Thunderbird, installed about eight years ago! That version works just fine!
