I've just started getting error messages that I need to enter my password to send emails. I've tried that but it still keeps saying unable to connect to the server. This has been happening for about two days now. I've tried updating Thunderbird, restarting Thunderbird and restarting my PC. None of this has worked. I made no changes to my system, software or home network. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Dave

In my list of Inbox Unified Folders (13 of them), one folder in particular (the second one) is sometimes there, then at some point later is gone. It's still in the 'All Folders' list, but not in the Unified folders list. If I kill TB and restart, then it's back. I have no idea what ops might cause it to vanish. Any idea what's causing it to vanish or what I can look at?

Automatically hide taskbar in desktop mode => Enabled Firefox => Maximised When cursor is moved to outer edge of screen, taskbar should unhide (Expected behaviour) but in this case it remain hidden (Reality). Firefox along with all other spinoffs give same result. Chromium based browser works perfect, and taskbar automatically unhide itself.

As OLED screen have became common as monitor, Taskbar auto-hide is must. If this issue cann't be fixed I may have to change my primary browser which I used for almost 15 years.

Kindly, look into it. If Chromium can do it, why not Firefox.

Today for the first time after the latest update 127.0 (64-bit), my many firefox pages and tabs crashed and closed and a pop up to send crash report.

So I have fired up firefox again to find only a single page opens up, I have lost probably 16+ pages with multiple tabs on each, been like that for months, I have 32GB memory so there is normally no issues or slowness. However after the crash, even though only a single firefox page is open, windows task manager shows Firefox (20) and if I expand the task, I can see each firefox is taking lots of memory.

So it looks like the old session pages/tabs are still there somewhere but not accessible, I would like to get them back if possible. I went through reseting it to default, disabling the add ons etc but nothing has worked.

What is going on? The browser updates itself so I don't do anything. But now, it doesn't work. I use an alternate browser to send this message to you.

Dear team…

Please, please, pleeeeeease… Make the control elements for the expanding and collapsing the folders (see the attached picture) BIGGER. Much bigger! The small size of the elements is really, really, really pain in the *** (you know where).

Daily, it costs me painful loss of small amounts of time, which is (however) cumulating… Continuously it is hard to target them and after I miss them, I will lose my selection which is very frustrating. It is hard especially when I am connected through the Remote Desktop. I cannot explain it, but it is my daily experience, for months (if not years). Thank you! It would be very, very, very satisfying if someone would listen to me (in connection to this issue)… Thank you, again…

About 24 hours ago Thunderbird suddenly stopped downloading my emails. I rebooted a few times and still nothing. I went to email web version and my emails were coming in fine there. I read a bunch of articles here and went ahead and deleted my email account within Thunderbird with the intention to add it back in. Then I had password issues and had to call the email provider to reset my password. Now my password is fine, but when I go to add back in my account Thunderbird says it cannot verify the password. I went through several tests with the email provider's support and since I could log in everywhere I needed to with my password, and the only place it will not work is on Thunderbird itself, she concluded that I need to get support from Thunderbird as that is where the problem lies.

Of course there is no support for Thunderbird....and I am so frustrated at this point! I have been using Thunderbird forever! at least ten years or more...and this has never happened before. I really, really really don't want to switch my email client but I cannot seem to get this one to work all of a sudden anymore and if I cannot get it to work I need to find something that does. Can anyone help please?

Recently changed broadband provider over to Kinex from Orange. Now we find that we are unable to send any e-mails whatsoever. We can still recieve e-mails. I have spoken to Kinex and changed our Outgoing Server so that according to them there should no longer be an issue but despite that we are still getting this error message when we try to send e-mails.

'Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.dslconnect.co.uk timed out. Try again.'

This is a business e-mail and we really do need normal e-mail functionality back as soon as possible. Thank you in advance.

I became so desperate I decided to use Eudora BETA instead but that is just as bad. I have removed both programs from my computer but when I download and install Thunderbird it opens with all my old information but still I just get the message Not Responding (there must be something somewhere that has not totally removed the program I would think for this to keep occuring??). How do I fix this problem as it has become beyond frustrating.

Thunderbird is not responding also at the start of the ‘not responding’ emails from one of my accounts disappeared and then gradually started to reappear but didn’t get up to date and now just not responding st all. I have tried various things to resolve this, uninstalling and reinstalling Thunderbird, doing this and opening my pc in safe mode, doing this and opening Thunderbird in safe mode. Deleting and reinstalling the latest windows 11 update, reinstalling the latest Thunderbird update. I don’t know what to try next? I read somewhere to delete your profile, after saving it, and getting a new profile but no idea how to do this. Any help appreciated.

I've read a few historic suggestions about how to resolve this, but I haven't been comfortable with what solutions were suggested as they didn't seem to comprehensively answer the questions, I'm afraid.

Until this morning's attempts to resolve the "running out of disk space" warnings, I had two mail accounts on Thunderbird - my old Hotmail account and my new personal domain based account. Both accounts had old emails (3/4 years' worth) filed locally on my PC pending my satisfaction that the new mail account was working satisfactorily. To try and resolve the storage issue, I deleted all the locally stored emails from my Hotmail account from within Thunderbird, then deleted the Hotmail account, and restarted both my PC and Thunderbird.

The expected reduction on space occupied by the .thunderbird folder didn't materialise - at all.

How can I get back the space so I can continue working, please?

Not used Thunderbird for about a week as was away. On my return I am now getting duplicate downloads every-time I open Thunderbird on my desktop using Windows 10. I am on Thunderbird version 115.12.2. I have been using Thunderbird for a long time and this is the first time this happened.

I recreated the global-message-db.sqlite indexfile, turned off my anti-virus, compacted folders but nothing solved the problem.

However I did find a similar question on this site with a solution which wasn't exactly the same but lead me to investigate the Mail folder in my profile. I see I am getting duplicate pop.gmail.com folders (pop.gmail.com, pop.gmail-1.com, pop.gmail-2.com, etc.). I guess that is probably connected to the problem.

When I open Thunderbird I also get the message 'Connection to server pop.gmail.com was reset'.

Any help would be appreciated. I didn't want to delete any pop.gmail.com folders without expert advice.

Thank-you in advance.
