Since upgrading to 78.6.1 yesterday, my TASKS list that displays alongside my Calendar is listing all my tasks going back to when they were first created. I have gone through all of them 3 times now, ticking all the boxes to clear them off the Task list but when I restart Thunderbird they are all showing in the Tasks list again. I've tried double-clicking on an entry and then 'Edit All Occurrences', made changes and then saved again, but they all just keep reappearing in the Tasks List as if they haven't been completed??

I can sign into medicare.uhc.com/aarp but once I am in the site anything I try to do I am signed out. I don't have this issue with Microsoft Edge so the problem seems to be Firefox. I have tried to change privacy settings but nothing seems to work

Hi, first of thanks for reading and possibly responding.

The issue I am having has been going on for a few days. In websites where youtube video's are embedded if I try and play the video on the said site it will load and display an error message An error occurred. Please try again later. If I visit the video on youtube, link provided in the video itself, then it plays just fine. Error is not restricted to one site but anything that embeds youtube videos.

I have also come across some strange youtube.com issues, when I am on the main website you get the thumbnails of video's but no time duration are displayed in the thumbnail, neither are the 3 dots where you can have one of the videos removed (not a big deal and maybe this was implemented a while ago I don't know tbh). When I play a video, as in visit the video page on youtube the side bar videos sometimes do and sometimes don't display time duration.

Please check attached image to see what I mean. Left is without said timecodes, right is what it almost should be.

What addons do I use: Ublock Origin is the only one worth noting but even without it the weird thing still occurs. I don't use any plug ins that correspond with youtube.

I am using the latest Firefox on Windows 10.

Things I have tried thus far to resolve it: - make sure Firefox is up to date - try with and without addblocker (Ublock) - remove Adobe flash entirely - refresh Firefox and clear all data and cookies 9tried this I think 3 times now, no change) - looked through older posts with similar issues but most links regarding html5 on youtube were 404 and sometimes the solution stated things like 'cause by some video helped addon' which I do not use or updating Flash

Am I the only one with this issue?

TB worked normally. I applied the TB 78.6.1 32bit update to the machine (win7 pro 64bit). Outlook,com server is configured as POP3 connection and on restart of TB I got a dialog - refused to authenticate with wrong password ... My other servers appear to respond correctly. Server settings all look ok. Entering the correct password when prompted (checked by web login) does not apparently authenticate TB ...

TEST: Just swapped from pop server to outlook.office365.com with same response.

Dialog text reads: Sending of password for user xxxxxxx@outlook.com did not succeed. Mail server pop-mail.outlook.com responded: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.


FURTHER TEST: If I restart TB to force a reconnect with saved parameters, the Microsoft activity log for my account registers the access and logs a "successful sync" ... Doesn't this mean that it *has* actually authenticated but it is a Thunderbird response issue? I do not receive new email to TB despite the "successful sync" ...

I run TB on Win7 ok till a couple of days ago, when it suddenly stopped being able to find the Outlook account. so it will not update the TB account. I can set up a new Outlook link and it works, but cannot update the old account passwod setting, which has gone AOL. Is ther any way of duplicating the original setup wizard to update the old account so it will refind Outlook? Is there any way of amalgamating TB accounts so that I could set up a new link and then add the old emails? Is there any way of forcing TB to ask for the Outlook password again. The problem seems to arise from the latest update to TB

In last couple of the most recent versions of both Firefox and Firefox Enterprise, Access files with ACCDB extensions will not open from a link on an html page. Basically, it will show an error in firefox. It can be saved to the local desktop if we set the option to do so, but we would like to be able to open it only. The file is on a network. We've also tried opening the file in several other browsers (chrome, edge, etc.) and get the same results in all of them except IE. That remains the only browser we can open an Access file in with a link. Microsoft Word and Excel files appear to still be opening fine.

Version 68.12.1 on Windows 10 I know the exact subject of the email, I have sent it to myself a month ago. I type "upgrade m1" with quote marks on the top global search bar and I get all kind of junk with the word "upgrade" that are mainly spams. If I scroll back manually I can locate the email with the same subject in my inbox. I have rebuilt the search cache already.

Any suggestion?

Okay. I've got an issue with the spellchecker that seems to be a bug. I installed the dictionary, and made sure it was on. However it won't detect even things like gfhjrjdjd as being misspelled. It's really annoying. It doesn't seem to be able to detect text boxes - even this one. There is no option to enable it with right click.

Hey guys,

after the latest firefox update I can't open attachments coming from lotus notes (LN), without saving them to computer. The reason is that regardless of the document attached (.doc, .xls, .ppt, etc.) every time I try to open such file the pop-up goes like and the bold line is preventing me to open them directly:

"You have chosen to open: xyz.pptx which is: XLSX file from: LN"

Any idea how to resolve?

Hi all, I'd be really grateful if someone is able to help me. I recently transferred all my TB emails from an old computer to a new one. I have an account from when I was a student last year. All the emails and the headers seem to be there but I can't access them or view them because of the login prompt on TB. The problem is after you have stopped being a student the account on their server is taken away so you can't log in. There are some extremely important emails which I have on that account and which I now really need for an important personal matter. Is there any way of accessing these emails? Because all the files of the emails seem to be on my computer it's just that I'm met with the login prompt whenever I try to look at anything within that account.

Would it be possible to maybe turn off the login prompt somehow and see the emails? Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

I have three Rogers email accounts on the Yahoo server and use Thunderbird as my POP client.

Until yesterday afternoon, I was able to send and receive messages for the three accounts using Thunderbird but now I can send through all 3 but only receive on through 2. The account causing "receiving" trouble is "i75dave@rogers.com"

I signed on to the Yahoo account for the problem account and had a note to change my password due to some suspicious activity. I did this using the correct Yahoo password protocols - upper/lower characters, numbers and "!" as the special characters.

While in my Yahoo inbox, I noticed several messages ready to download to Thunderbird

Switched to Thunderbird I tried to download messages for this account but after a minute or so, received the message:

Error with account i75Dave@rogers.com Sending of password for user i75Dave@rogers.com did not succeed. Mail server pop.mail.yahoo.com responded: server error - Please try again later.

In Thunderbird, I went through ...

 Tools -> Options -> Security -> Passwords  -> Saved Passwords -> Show Passwords -> Yes 

and for i75Dave@rogers.com changed the password on both the POP and SMTP to the new one I changed on the Yahoo server.

Sent i75Dave@rogers.com a test message through my wife's computer.

Message: Host connected. Sending login information ... and then the same password error.

Closed down, rebooted, reloaded Thunderbird - same password error.

Can anybody help me gain control over i75Dave@rogers.com in Thunderbird for incoming messages?
