I decided I needed to use a password to enter my emails. By following my nose, I went to settings and checked the box to use a primary password. It then asked for a password. I typed it in... twice. Once, then confirm. Now, I can't enter my email no matter how many times I type in the password. I've tried resetting the password by going to chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.xhtml. It says password was reset but nothing has changed, it did not ask me for a new password, and I still can't get in. Frustration has set in. Thank you for any help you can give tome.

I changed my home page by mistake. It was yahoo.com. Now it is "Sponsored Search by Quick Forms." How do I get rid of it?

After the latest Firefox update, some of my sites are returning "Network Protocol" Errors. I can log in on other browsers, but Firefox is the one I normally use.

Hello :) For some time now my firefox doesn't allow me to preview PDFs. If I open it, it gets downloaded at the same time which I don't need. I already tried the thing with renaming the handlers.json to handlersOLD.json but it didn't work :( does anyone know how to fix this?

Despite i selected "always show" in the options of the menu toolbar, as indicated in many answers and guides, Mozilla keeps randomly to show or not to show (most of the times) my bookmarks in the top bar. The bookmarks are still there if i press on top on bookmarks in fact they appear, simply they are not anymore in the bar. I have reset several times to default from the options but it doesnt change anything. Any clue? Thank you

I have had a problem with Gmail since yesterday April 13, which was the same day my browser updated to 99.0.1. I'm using a Windows 10 machine.

Gmail is displaying the "Oops… the system encountered a problem (#001)" error message and will not load my inbox. Other websites in Firefox load fine (including other Google apps like Drive and Calendar), and Gmail works fine in other browsers.

not able to sign in on my account or track packages on FEDEX website. I talked with FEDEX and they say to try another browser and when I do the site works. I have tried taking off enhanced tracking and restarting in safe mode I cleared cookies and all. Is there a fix for this?

It loads a blank page and nothing else.

Today after booting up my computer, I found that none of my bookmarks were appearing in the toolbar. They're still appearing in the bookmarks menu under "Bookmarks Toolbar," and "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" is still where it should be in the Customize screen. I also confirmed that the toolbar is still marked as "Always Show." In fact, other items (such as the main bookmark menu itself) still show up on the toolbar. It's only all my bookmarks that are missing.

I've also tried:

• Exiting and restarting Firefox
• Turning settings on and off (i.e., setting the toolbar to "Never Show" and then turning it back)
• Rebooting my computer

I need a FireFox feature that allows me to access the typical Cable Modem Gateway Web Manager addresses (192.168.0.1, 192.168.100.1, etc.) even when they have no security certificate.

I have been using a Arris SURFboard SBG6782-AC Wireless Cable Modem Gateway (purchased at TARGET) for over five years without significant issues. About three weeks ago my MoCA network began having issues. I tried to login to the WEB Manager of the Gateway at (192.168.0.1) using FireFox. I got the following FireFox Msg:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to 192.168.0.1. Peer using unsupported version of security protocol.

Error code: SSL_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED_VERSION

   The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
   Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

This website might not support the TLS 1.2 protocol, which is the minimum version supported by Firefox.

I finally used an old version of "Internet Explorer" which allowed me to bypass the security warning and connect via a direct ethernet port of the gateway. Evidently someone (Spectrum claims they didn't) downloaded a different firmware version into my Gateway. (D30GW-EAGLE-1.5.4.0-GA-10-NOSH) i.e. not the factory original version. The WEB Manager interface is different, password requirements are enhanced, the MoCA feature can't be enabled, and it seems Arris no longer provides a security certificate for the 192.168.0.1 Gateway address.

Considering the complete lack of cooperation of Spectrum and Arris, I think it is unlikely that I will ever be able to recover the factory original firmware; So... How about adding an "exception" feature to FireFox settings to allow me to at least access my "unsecure" Gateway. I really don't want to go back to using IE. By the way, I wrote this on a WIN 8.1 HP laptop. My main machine is a Dell XPS8300 running WIN 10.

I have just freshly installed a windows 7 on my computer which I have some old programs which won't run on windows 10. I am trying to download firefox with windows explorer which comes with windows 7. It seems I can not download anything. I try to download the firefox I get a message, The security certificate presented by this website has expired or is not yet valid. I downloaded once the firefox installer but in the middle of the installation I get a message OOPs something went wrong and it won't install. what is going on?

Until recently, I resisted allowing updates for Firefox because of the announcements of changes to prevent access to some technical kinds of website which I use. These include the public websites of the Paris Observatory which include useul informational ftp pages with important text, data and software files.

  I did recently allow a Firefox update, and now I find that I am cut off from access to these ftp pages. 
  How can I re-enable access to ftp? If it can't be done in the new version of Firefox, how can I return to an older Firefox version that does allow such access?

hello, i can't change the font for Firefox browser! i mean after i change the font from setting, i can't see any changes! Is this a problem from the OS or from the Browser? What is the solution?

Couple days ago Yahoo Mail stopped downloading attachments of any type. Only happens when using Mozilla. Yahoo mail works fine with edge and android. The following had no affect: (1) signing out and in to yahoo mail. (2) Clearing cache etc in Mozilla (3) rolling back recent windows updates. Occurs with all types of attachments, so not an app issue. Appreciate your help, please include only those suggestions which consider the "suddenly" part...

I cannot removed total adblock and especially the ad for total adblock. I tried to follow the instructions, but they do not bring up the menu that they are supposed to bring up. HELP
