I am running latest version of Firefox 82.0 (64-bit) but most of the systems are reporting my browser version to be Firefox 56. My privacy.resistFingerprinting is set to" FALSE". Any other way to get the correct version of FF?

PLEASE, someone tell me my old bookmarks are living somewhere on laptop.

I deserve the answer to be NO bc I did not take any steps suggested by Moz, did not try refresh, did not even set up a profile b4 trying to install previous version (b4 82.0). Years worth of bookmarks are gone.

Used help topics to try the Import/Export-Restore Bookmark option. However the only json Mozilla extension I could find was related to my last attempt.

Running Wins 10-Mozilla/Firefox updated to 82.0 this morning. After the update my screen began to flicker and pull up sections of page in dark black. After verify the issue was with Moz I tried to revert back to older version. I was frustrated bc of the screen issues and as stated-did NOT do anything strongly suggested b4 going to previous version.

Although I chose previous version (64 bit) I actually ended up with a newly installed 82.0 However all bookmarks still gone & just icing on cake the flicker is still there.

Any help would mean to world. Thnx

Since the release of version 82 we cannot print on a ticket printer. We use the silent printing solution from Firefox but then it prints a small ticket with only the name of the printjob on. When we disable the silent printing and click manually on the ok button in the print dialog it does work but that is not an option, we need the silent printing to process the printjobs of orders.

What can I do to make this work again? The issue is with all types and brands of ticketprinters.

In Google Chrome or with version 81 everything works great. We use Firefox on hundreds of computers so it is impossible to downgrade them all.

The page search facility (Ctrl+F) works fine for most pages, but doesn't work on one particular page.

The page in question happens to be my home page and is one that I created via Macromedia Dreamweaver. It is my web portal containing numerous links (to all the sites I usually access).

I press Ctrl+F and the search box appears at bottom of screen, as usual. I enter a word in the search box, click the up and down arrows, but it doesn't find any matches, even though that word definitely exists on the page (multiple times). (The Highlight All, Match Case, Whole Words options are not selected). If I enable "Highlight All", nothing is highlighted.

This problem has surfaced in the last month or so. I suspect it may have crept in with a recent Firefox update, as this wasn't a problem in the past. My setup: Desktop PC, Win 10 (64bit), Firefox is 82.0 (64-bit) -the current version, and I'm using the Default Theme.

PS: I opened the same page with Microsoft Edge and the Page Search works fine there. .... but Firefox is my preferred browser, so I need to get to the bottom of this problem.

Any suggestions on how I can resolve this weird problem?

I have chosen to delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed. However I want to make certain exceptions. That normally works fine.

However that are certain sites that are listed in the "Managing Data"-list that are not proceeded with a "https://www...", a typical example is "google.com".

I have not been able to add such sites to the exceptions.

If I just write "google.com" in "Address of website", and choose Allow, the system automatically adds a "https://www.../ in front so the exceptions list looks like . . https://www. google.com . and the cookies listed as google.com are deleted when I close Firefox.

How can I add such sites to the exceptions?

Yesterday I updated Firefox to version 82 and now it won't start up, it seems to immediately crash. There is no error report dialog box. This is on Windows 10 with the latest patches. I tried restarting the computer, installing Firefox 82 32-bit and 64-bit versions, uninstall + reinstall, and safe mode, but none of these work. (This is on a corporate laptop so I have a limited ability to change internal system settings.) The Windows error from the event log is:

I installed Firefox 81 and that works fine, but it constantly tries to updated and every time I restart it crashes again. It also seems like I can't access my saved logins/passwords in this older Firefox version because it's using a different profile. I'm trying to avoid updating Firefox on my other Windows 10 computer in case it fails in the same way.

How do I contact Mozilla Firefox to ask if I'm able to access to my Firefox profile on their cloud server?

Windows 10 would not update so I contacted Microsoft Support and a technician spent two days trying to various methods to get the updates installed on my computer. After several failed attempts it was determined a Windows "reset" was needed. The reset stated it would uninstall apps but save user data. However, it appears the reset uninstalled and wiped my profile off the computer.

I've already asked a previous question using the Mozilla Firefox support section and verified the profile is in fact gone. No backups are available to rollback using Firefox and the backup profiles in the "Windows.old" and "Windows.old(1)" both contain saved profiles from after the reset.

It sounds like my last option is contacting Mozilla directly to verify my account information and see if they can access my profile on their cloud server?

So how does someone do that? Thanks

Firefox, latest version, keeps logging me out of sites. I have tried all troubleshooting suggestions offered on the web that I could find, short of starting all over by resetting profile, which I do NOT want to do.

Anyone have any suggestions other than the standard ones about cookies, preference settings having to do with cookies, private browsing, deleting all cookies, deleting cookies files in profile folder, extension issues, etc?

This identical message is has been sent to Webroot support.

There are several websites which I visit on a daily basis both at home and work. At home and work I regularly go to Amazon and Google. At home I go to Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, and others. I use Firefox at home and work. Webroot Internet Security Plus v9.0.29.52 is being used at home and a corporate version of Webroot is being used at work. Tonight I started the home computer up and found that Amazon required login credentials. I COPIED the login information from the Firefox "Saved Logins..." screen to log into Amazon. Instagram, et al. seemed to access fine. I performed a complete Webroot scan of my computer and one "threat" was discovered, but no information about this "threat" could be found. I then just went back to Webroot to get the version number for this complaint and it doesn't even recognize the fact that I performed a manual scan an hour ago. It thinks the last scan was 22 hours ago and it only took one second when in fact the LAST scan took over six minutes!

In order to author this complaint, I had to restart Firefox. Currently Amazon is the only website that has retained login information. All others - Google, Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr AGAIN require logins! AGAIN, I can go to the saved logins within Firefox, COPY the credential information and PASTE it into the appropriate fields in the appropriate website and I'm logged back in...for now.

PLEASE explain to me how this information is continually being wiped clean and if Webroot isn't doing it, then what is, since Webroot is telling me my system is clean.

Nationwide has decided recently that my firefox is not up to date and got me to delete bookmarks, then delete the cache. and some thing to do with the browser. I may have to ask them again as I have deleted bookmarks and updated but they still don't accept me or say there is a problem. any idea what I need to do with my browser? Things have worked well for years but no more. And being put back to my tortuous login every time is driving me mental. Best regards, Don.

Never had this issue before, and I don't understand what I need to do. I have the "Old Firefox Data" on my desktop, but am totally confused about how to get that information into the refreshed browser. Not being able to re-enter the info, clicking "save", works. Help!

Okay, I realize that this question has been asked before. I've tried to disable the toolkit.cosmeticAnimations.enabled and also browser.fullscreen.animate.

Nothing that I've seen on different forums work, I just want to get rid of this annoying fullscreen animation on youtube. It is driving me insane that it slowly fades to black before entering fullscreen.
