Yesterday I upgraded to the newest version of Firefox (66.0, 64-bit). I use Avast Antivirus for virus protection, and I noticed after I upgraded to the new version of Firefox and went to go online, the Avast Online Security Browser Extension showed that the automatic blocking of trackers was disabled, so I clicked More Settings and re-checked the things that were previously unchecked (the do not track boxes), afterwhich I clicked Save, and everything was A-OK.

After I was finished, I closed the page I was on.

When I went back in awhile later, the same thing occurred, and I had to do the same thing all over again.

I'm not sure what to do so I don't have to keep repeating the same process over & over again. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I'm unsure whether this is Firefox-related or Avast-related. I did post over at Avast's forums, too.

Thanks in advance.

Each time Firefox is updated I keep getting Firefox Not Responding, and this happens EACH time there is an update. Refresh does not help. New tabs open up very slowly AFTER getting Not Responding. Changed performance settings with no change. I do not have any add-on. This is truly very disruptive. If I could figure out how to import all of my saved web pages I would stop using Firefox and use Edge. As of today I HAVE NOT received any answers on how to correct this problem from Mozilla

Hello, I've been using Firefox since pretty much day one. I am a big Firefox fan, but this bug is causing me to re think it all.

My computer configuration is

Inter Xeon E5 1620 v3 processor 24GB DDR 4 RAM Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 (latest drivers installed) Windows 10 build 1803 x64

When switching to full screen, the video usually shutters, it is so annoying. To solve (not always), I have to close and re open firefox to free memory, but as you can see, memory is not my issue...I have a lot of memory.

Using GC browser works much better...I really don't want to switch to GC because I much prefer Firefox...but what can I do? This is getting too annoying, even for me.

Please assist...

Last weekend FF crashed and I got a notice that FF couldn't find my Profile folder. Neither could I. Nothing I did, or the repair person did, could get FF to operate, so he reinstalled the OS only because I wanted to retrieve my bookmarks that are extremely important to me. After spending the money, I've done everything FF says about retrieving my profile and nothing works. If my profile isn't retrievable (my bookmarks I need), then FF should AT LEAST pay for the reinstall I did ONLY to make FF work on my computer again and retrieve my bookmarks. If my bookmarks are retrievable, then how is it done because some of the directions I followed did absolutely nothing but undo all my settings and I had to spend more time redoing all the settings. If they're not retrievable, I hate FF and Mozilla and will never, ever ever use anything to do with them again and discourage every person I meet from ever using them at all.

Some sites you search for immediately return a URL/website telling you "your ADOBE FLASH PLAYER is out of date so update it [at a non ADOBE website] when I know for a fact it is not and the URL is VERY SUSPICIOUS.

some new Router do not have a parental web site BLOCKER like router's used to. Why can't the BROWSER SIMPLY block a WEBSITE/URL when these suspicious sites constantly try to redirect you to them.

Every couple of years I get sick of Google Chrome and try to go to Firefox. Things mostly work, but sometimes they don't. The things that don't work seem to be buttons and menus. I run Firefox on Linux; today I'm on Fedora 28 with Firefox 66.0.4, but my issues seem to transcend time- probably 8 years or more. But Chrome scares me, so maybe we can address this and get it figured out.

I'll include some specifics to get down to the details of why Firefox fails. Here's a website that I just went to: https://lcsc.com/ . After you get there, a New Coupon windows pops up. Apparently "Coupon in Your Pocket" is a button, but nothing happens when I click on it.

I've been having problems at Aliexpress, too, where it asks me to login but I can't because the login button is unresponsive. But let's not try to fix Aliexpress, perhaps it would be better to focus on the one website so we don't get distracted. And it's easy- just go to it and the coupon will pop up.

I've had problems on other websites that I can't recall right now. But this lcsc.com problem seems to be pretty straightforward, so I decided to report it in the hopes that I can get Firefox to work once and for all. I don't want to have to keep going to Chrome.

See the attached screenshot.

I have PDFs that I would like to search through for matches to words. I like to save .pdf versions of website articles. Unfortunately, some websites are not user-friendly in this respect in that they allow graphics to obscure parts of the article, usually atthe top and bottom of a page. Unlike Chrome (in my experience at least), Firefox enables me to select the part of an article that interests me, free of extraneous material and with the facility of excluding webpage URLs etc.

Perfect, save for the fact that I'm unable to save more than the first page (see first attachment) of a multi-page selection (see second attachment).

A further niggle is that I'm unable to upload either of the above-mentioned .jpg attachments. The upload function recognises them, but the rotating ikon is unable to do other than just slowly whirr round and round . . .
