Every time I go to Yahoo.com and try to sign into my mail accounts, I get the Recaptcha. It may ask me to click on all cars in the pictures. When I do that I notice the "Continue" button is superimposed on the pictures of the cars and then when I try to click on the "Continue" button, I get a circle with a diagonal slash mark through it. Yahoo won't help me with this until I pay money. This problem started when their pay for phone tech program started. Please help!

I never trust, download or install anything related to Russia or China, I don't want those spies get control of my PC. After many years of using FF, I just found something that shocked me: Baidu Search Update Extension What's this installed with FF installation? Note: I never run Firefox.setup.exe but just extract it using winrar, from "core\browser" remove "features" folder completely then install it. Where can I remove it from install source? Anything related to those Chinese search engines?

I have Windows Firefox 66.03.

Enabled Studies, and had "hotfix-reset-xpi-verification-timestamp-1548973" in "active" status. But I didn't have the second study! Nothing happened for few hours! So I tried to disable Studies and enable them again. After that the first Study became "completed" and no "active". The second is still absent. What should I do?? How to get the required Study and fix the problem? Can you help me please??

Hi Jscher2000,

My issue (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1258165?page=1) was closed before I could respond! So, I am following up here.... (and I could post this follow up there -if you want to re-open that thread, for continuity of the issue?)

---

I tried your solution to update the certificate, but it did not work.

Note, I could not figure out where to check the certificate was updated (as you posted in the screen capture of image #2).

The first step seemed to work (clicking on your link and clicking OK on the popup to download the certificate).

The RESET of the lastupdate value also seemed to work, and after restarting Firefox it now shows VALUE of 1557118303.

But the adblcok plus stll not working.

Note, I tried to download the certificate using step 1 again, and that time an ALERT said CERTIFACATE ALREADY INSTALLED...

What can I do now?

+++++++++++++++

FYI: Your instruction in the OTHER THREAD was:

Hi Matt, I was able to start testing in Firefox 52 ESR. When I install the hotfix extension, nothing happens, other than showing up on the Extensions panel of the Add-ons page. In the Browser Console, I see this message: TypeError: browser.experiments is undefined That means the main command of the extension doesn't run, so it's a dead end.

Next idea:

Overview

(1) Install the certificate the hotfix would have installed (2) Trigger Firefox to re-verify your extensions (3) Wait until it is back to normal

Steps

(1) Install certificate

I extracted the certificate from my Firefox 66 and saved it on my webserver. Obviously if you don't trust me, you should not install it.

Two possible methods: click to download through the certificate installer, or right-click > Save Link As to save a local copy and then import it.

https://www.jeffersonscher.com/sumo/signingca1addonsmozillaorg_20190504.crt

Screenshot #1 shows the download method. Don't check any of the boxes, just click OK.

To import instead:

Go to the Options/Preferences page, Advanced section, Certificates panel, then click Certificate Manager. Make sure the Authorities tab is selected, then click Import. Find the file you downloaded and open it, then you should get the same dialog as in Screenshot #1, don't check any of the boxes, just click OK. Then you should see the new cert in the list in the Certificate Manager, as shown in Screenshot #2.

(2) Clear the time Firefox last re-verified

This will set Firefox up to check much sooner than it otherwise would check.

(A) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful or accepting the risk.

(B) In the search box above the list, type or paste xpi- and pause while the list is filtered

(C) Right-click the app.update.lastUpdateTime.xpi-signature-verification preference and click Reset on the context menu

Screenshot #3 illustrates the expected result.

(3) Restart Firefox

You can exit Firefox normally, then start it up again. In my tests, it took less than 60 seconds for Firefox to verify my extensions. Screenshot #4 is "before" and Screenshot #5 is "after."

Hopefully that will work for you.

I have post this questions a week ago but there is no response of my questions. I re-post it and hope someone could help to resolve the problem. The firefox v.65 crash , usually after 3o mins, when I have the new brought photoshop elements 2019 program running in the background. After crashed I try to restore the tab. However, firefox crash again right after restart and restore the tab. If I keep trying to restore the tab. The firefox has no response and freeze. A error message come out " video driver failed to restart ....... Sometime the computer get into blue screen and die. i find that the problem also happen with Microsoft Edge browser too. I google the possible issue of the crash and get some information regarding the crash. It may be cause by the photoshop element face detection feature use too much memory to run the program or the program has memory leak problem that cause firefox crash.

I did check my computer RAM memory and PC window system files. they did not show any error. I refresh firefox and reinstall my video driver. However, it make no change of the crash situation. The firefox crash and Blue screen die issues only happen if I run my photoshop element and premier 2019 program at the same time. Adobe support said that it was not photoshop element program problem for the firefox crash.

I want to find out what is the root problem of the crash and how to fix it. I also want to know any known issue firefox crash assoicated with photoshop elements program.

When I look at a crash dump summary, I do not see the crash time. I do see the install time and the install age, but I do not have time to "add" the two to produce the crash time so that I can equate a given crash with my manual log to determine which of these crashed occurred after an Exit. I suggest that the crash dump summary be enhanced to give this information.l And the summary I save (via cut-and-paste) before I submit each crash report does not give the crash dump ID.

For the record, I am running 66.0.5 32-bit on Windows 7, always in safe mode.

espn.com has bar at the top for showing the latest scores, and a tab bar below it for choosing specifics sports and some other things. Likewise, free.com has a tab bar at the top for choosing newspaper sections. They are now all empty (although the space is still present) when using Firefox. They display properly with Safari. This happened in the past few days. I think it happened when I upgraded to 66.0.3, although at that time I also played around with some settings try to fix a problem related to the upgrade (Firefox crashed during the upgrade and I lost my tabs as a result).

I finally had to abandon version 56.2 because it wasn't working right (although now I wonder if version 66 will work any better). I need more than one tab row -- having tabs scroll out of sight just doesn't work for me. If I can't have that, then I want the ability to make the tabs narrower so I can get more of them on one row.

Why doesn't Firefox have these features by default? Why do they keep "upgrading" it and leaving out logical features? Upgrades usually mean MORE FUNCTIONALITY, but I'm not seeing that with Firefox.

Regarding the tab rows, please don't refer me to Github. I have no idea what to do with raw code. I need an extension. Thank you.

Hi there.

I typed in Win32.Adposhel.BS@487219106 in my browser (Firefox 66.0 (64-bits) and THIS ip was being connected: https://www.whois.com/whois/29.10.95.162

It is the The Departement of Defence in the US...

1. Its not even an ip. 2. When i type in @487219106 or 487219106 or www.Adposhel.BS or https://Adposhel.BS my computer does Not try to contact no damn US Government server thats for sure.

Is this a Firefox bug or can someone check it out to see if the ip blinks past/loads when you go to Win32.Adposhel.BS@487219106 ?

If it is a bug then its one hell of a weird one!

Ive i've scanned and didnt find any malware on my pc (ive used ~5 different scanners just to be sure theres nothing fishy on my end)

Is there any explanation as of Why that particular ip/government branch is being contacted when i type in "Win32.Adposhel.BS@487219106 " without the quotation marks?

Oh by the way the string itself is the name of a virus appearantly and i was going to investigate what type of virus it was, but when i typed it in the adressbar the weirdness above ensued.

I may ask the same question on Reddit if i dont get a valid answer here.

Edit: Seems to be the same thing if i type random shijt like fsssfadfds.fsfdsfs.BS@487219106 in the adress field.

Something that I think first began happening in the last 4-6 months. I can fix it by doing the Firefox "refresh/restart" but it keeps coming back. I had to do a refresh on March 10th and now I'm having the same problem again. Basically it's unable to download anything. Email attachments, files from a website. A pdf from a facebook chat log. Firefox acts just like it does when you normally go to download a file. Brief pause, some activity in the bottom left corner. Everything appears exactly right except instead of that little extra window popping up to confirm how you want to save it or where. That window never pops up and nothing happens. No files show up in my download history or default download locations. I only use 3 add ons. Firefox Lightbeam, Flagfox and noscript. But even if I disable all of them and restart my browser the problem persists. So basically I'm opening up other browsers and copy pasting the URL's into them to quickly download stuff because my preferred browser keeps losing the ability to download things :/ and it's annoying to keep doing the restart option and toggle the few menu settings/background I have back on.
