I am a new developer and I'm trying to learn how cookies work, but I don't know how to view what the actual cookie value is, so that I can check if I did it correctly. I see where you can set the defaults you want and enable or disable cookies, but where can you view the content in FireFox browser? I know in Google Chrome you can see all the cookies and their values in settings, content, cookies, view all. Thanx, Gil

Hello mozilla team,

I am very glad to write you here. My experience with using firefox is going very great and in fact I am using it since the day I started using internet. Today I feel mozilla has made me too secure that whenever I have to enter any password or personal details I allow mozilla to do it in place of me as it knows through saved logins. But at some certain point I got to know that I can't remember all the details but mozilla can and If I have to put the details to any site through any other browser(happens sometimes when I am restricted) then I am blank or not accurate. So I want to have a file stored on my cloud storage, mobile or computer so that If ever get confused I just open that file and telly the details I am required to put in and by doing this there should be a export option along with import option in the saved login section. That's all I want or any alternate option to fulfill this need. Thanks and have a good day!

I'm fine with multiple tabs and all that, but sometimes I want to keep things in the same tab. But then some web developers don't seem to understand this, and code their pages to force links to open in a new tab (or possibly even a new window, but at least I have that under control). There used to be a perfectly cromulent extension that solved this problem by adding an "open in same tab" option to the context menu, but it has not been updated for FF Quantum and probably never will be. Are there any current extensions that do this? Or is there another way that I can restore this option, and only open new tabs when *I* choose to do so?

For the past few days, Firefox has been extremely slow to load pages at startup. The browser itself launches pretty much instantly, but it's taking over six minutes after that just to look up domains. At some point it gets past whatever hiccup is holding things up and browsing works for the rest of the session -- noticeably slower than usual, but usable.

It happens with add-ons disabled, after multiple refreshes, and even after a full reinstall (with new profile). I've played with all the common suspects -- disabling accessibility options, hardware acceleration, IPv6, etc. I closed my pinned tabs and disabled auto-restoring the previous session. I even disabled Avast and MalwareBytes. Nothing has helped so far (which is seriously disappointing, considering the 6-minute restart between each change!)

The odd thing is that there are a few seconds, immediately after startup, where things seem to work normally. If I'm quick, I can sometimes get most of one webpage to load before the problem begins.

I've been a Firefox power user since version 0.6.2 and never encountered anything like this. I'm very comfortable with changing settings, configuration files, etc., and am willing to try just about anything to get things cranking again. But right now I'm simply out of other ideas to try.

Using 61.0.2, 64-bit version on fully-patched Windows 10 on a very fast fiber connection. <edit> I also tried the 32-bit version; no joy. </edit>

Hello,

While trying to watch "big" mp4 files, I get the error: The media playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the media used features your browser did not support.

Smaller files seem to work fine. The problem seem to start around 3-4 GB.

Things I tried:

- Safe mode

- Refresh firefox

- Completely wipe and reinstall, the problem remains.

Since I was due for an OS upgrade, I upgraded to High Sierra. Fresh install (wiped the disk), fresh Firefox install, and the problem remains.

Chrome will load it up after 2-3 seconds. Safari gives the same error.

The file also works in all the players I tried: VLC 1.x, VLC 2.x, VLC 3.x, MPV, MplayerX.

So to recap: Fresh High Sierra install, fresh Firefox install (without sync - no addons), unable to read MP4 files bigger than 3-4 GB.

Help?

Using Facebook video/voice call: Browser asks me for permission to use video and mic AND gives me dropdowns to configure devices for each. Figuring I probably won't need to configure these settings again, I checked "remember these settings" and hit OK. Started the call - video worked, but microphone did not, even though the device was tested and worked. Now I wanted to go back and look at the settings for which devices to use for video and microphone. My BIG mistake: telling Firefox to remember settings. Oh no!

At this point, I figured the internet would have the answer. I can't find anybody who has mentioned this issue. The question: where do I go to change the video device or microphone device for Firefox AFTER I hit "remember" the first time? Or is hitting "remember" the kiss of death for being able to change these settings in the future? I searched Firefox settings: apparently the only settings relevant to mic/webcam are to allow or disallow those devices. Not what I want. An additional question: does Firefox just go directly to the default devices specified by Windows? Regardless of what I told it the first time? That might explain it. If this is the case, it's a major design flaw that it even asked me which devices to use the first time.

Hey,

Every YouTube video won't play and shows me the error:"An error occurred. Please try again later". It's almost a clean Windows install(1 month ago), tried clean reinstalling Firefox several times, with/without add-ons, clearing history/cache, direct Google DNS, restarting PC/router.. tried everything! even installed K-Lite Codec, Flash player, tried tweaking about:config - nothing worked.

I found out that everything works until I sign in into my YouTube account and then YouTube loads slowly and doesn't play videos. It works fine using other browsers. The issue started just a few days ago...

Thanks in advance!
