Since I installed the latest Quantum update 59.0.2 (64-bit) videos no longer play correctly in any format (embedded in news stories or Facebook, on YouTube, etc.) A split second of video will play, then freeze, while audio continues uninterrupted, then after many seconds, the video may jump to a future frame (or not) and freeze there, again, audio continuing to play uninterrupted.
I found the “Firefox’s performance settings” help page, and tried all solutions there, to no avail. I tried turning on the Hardware Acceleration, to no avail. I turned it off again. To no avail.
I looked through the forum for possible solutions and found none that matched my Mac (they were all for Windows) or the few posted solutions did not work/were not relevant.
My internet connection is hardwired to my machine, so it’s not my WIFi connection — and I had no issues with video playback in the past decade of Firefox versions until this one.
I know it’s Firefox as video runs perfectly fine in Safari.
My specs are: MacBook Pro High Sierra 10.13.3 Processor 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7 16 GB Memory Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2 GB Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB
Running Quantum 59.0.2 (64-bit)
