The problem arose yesterday 26/1 after I had to close down firefox while playing OW Previously when I started up firefox all my tab favicons would be loaded, but this time they were all replaced with the placeholder (...) as can be seen in the attached picture. Loading or refreshing the tab makes the icon appear for the session, but is deleted again upon restart, and any newly opened links or tabs retain their favicons through the restart. As simply reloading the the tab doesn't work, it isnt a matter of alt+tab'ing through all of them to load them (I already did this at my first attempt to solving it). In advance thank you for your help. (Edited to be less of a "heat of the moment cry for help") -Dubcat

Hello everyone,
I've been trying everything to solve the following problem but I did not manage. I guess I'm not god at this stuff.
I need the Java Plugin to access my email account. However, Java does not start. I downloaded and installed Java correctly but apparently unsuccessfully since I cannot find the Java Plugin (in Firefox, for instance).
- I'm running Firefox 64 bit;
- I have already tried to delete the file pluginred.dat and then restarted Firefox (clearing cache and everything): no success;
- I got Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.5
Thanks in advance for any help offered. Have a nice day

I've read that the new versions of firefox, using GTK3+, handle natively touch support, provided you set a env variables, so that's what I tried, and even lauching firefox with;
MOZ_USE_XINPUT2=1 firefox
Firefox don't handle touchscreen, scrolling using touchscreen just select text, as mouse clicked scrolling would do...
I also tried to change "dom.w3c_touch_events.enabled" to 1 in about:config, but it didn't did the trick...
Is there something I'm missing ? I've also tried with the latest nightly builds of firefox but no support either.
Thank you for your help.

I open Firefox (app was not previously running, opening from fully 'closed') and I will type in a complete web address into the address bar. The page will load; however, as soon as I click a link on the homepage, it just keeps loading, with the spinning circle on the tab. What is strange is that I will go use safari and chrome, and I will not have this same problem with these two browsers. So it's not my internet; it's firefox. I go on to visit dozens of pages on the other two browsers, meanwhile Firefox will still be loading that one page originally entered.
My workaround is: open firefox, go to one of my bookmarks, let it load, CLOSE firefox fully, and open it again. Then the problem is gone and I can browse freely without the internet cutting out. I have done this for months. Firefox never allows me to go past a first loaded page without closing the browser first, and then reopening the browser.
I have the most recent Firefox browser on my Mac air. I have ATT high speed (cable) internet, wireless.
Thanks!

I cannot access some .mil websites that are accessible from inside the US. The administrators of some of the sites assure me that the sites are accessible worldwide. However, I am currently in Europe and unable to access these sites. The site does have pop-ups, but I disabled the pop-up blocker, and am still unable to access.
The scroll speed is so fast it goes to the bottom of the page before I can release the touchpad button.
When I print a shipping label from Firefox, it opens in PDF. However, if I print from Chrome, it doesn't. Where do I change that?

I have a desktop PC (Windows 10) and my sister's laptop (Windows 7). The laptop lost power while booting up, because the power lead wasn’t fully plugged in and must have only just made electrical contact and then eased out of the socket by a half-a-millimetre. Replugged it properly and attempted to boot up again. Windows started some ‘repair’ routine (which I have never seen before), examined loads of files for 5 minutes or so and then reported that it ‘could not repair this PC’.
I closed it down, tried a further re-boot and this proceeded normally and I was able to open File Explorer, Thunderbird, Acrobat, Wordpad, Windows Photo Gallery, etc. So all appeared normal except Firefox where attempts to open/load it produced the following error message:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe
The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you’re running. Check your computer’s system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher."
I have since attempted to uninstall it but was informed that "it appeared already to have been uninstalled".
The problem now, of course, is that I don't have a browser. (The laptop was 'built' by somebody else who preferred Firefox to Internet Explorer and who must have uninstalled IE.) How do I download a browser (Firefox) when I haven’t got one to start with? Any ideas?
Could I download the .exe file on my desktop PC, transfer it via memory stick to the laptop, and then execute it? Or will the downloaded .exe file be tailored in some way for the PC on which the download was originally done?

Did Firefox Support Forum go back to its previous version within the last few hours, or did it just happen to me? This can be deleted once I get an answer, but I'm asking, because I had a long-running thread on the other forum and need to know if I need to repost my problem I was working on. For instance, this was my most recent crash:
