Before I updated Firefox to 45.0.1, I could right click on a link and select Open in New Window, since that was my preferred choice rather than opening in a tab. Now, right clicking doesn't seem to do anything. I do not get any pop-up menu to provide me with any options whatsoever. Has this option been disabled or moved?

Here's my problem: My pinned tabs are links to news websites so they're updating all the time. When I start up Firefox the pinned tabs don't contain a link to the current (up to date) information. The tabs contain links to the website as they were when I last visited them which is apparently because of something called store session data.

I want to be able to turn off the store session data feature so that when I click on one of the pinned tabs a window opens up displaying the current status of that website.

TIA

I just made a fresh installation of W8.1 on my laptop, Firefox settings were synced with Firefox Sync. And now Coursera videos subtitles don't display anymore. I choose a subtitle track, and nothing changes. Youtube subtitle work just fine, cleaning cache, cookies, refreshing Firefox, switching between 64 and 32 bit, Safe Mode don't make subtitles appear. In Chrome they work just fine. What shall I try? Here's a video player example https://www.coursera.org/learn/horse-care/lecture/pCruf/week-3-welcome-video

Why doesn't Firefox make it obvious what "Refresh" does?! Are you people out of your minds?!!! This is NOT a rhetorical question. WHY?

I have to restore everything manually and some things I have to simply re-download. On top of that my password history only appears to be backed up to 6 months ago. Jesus Christ, this all could have been avoided with an idiot box. I seriously did not think "Refresh" meant "Wipe." The word "refresh" usually has an entirely different connotation when it comes to internet browsers, and I'm wondering why your development team thought it at all a good idea to use it for this. At least you could have used a different word like "Wipe" or "Reset" even, along with an idiot box.

Seriously, I am deeply curious how such a decision got made. Mozilla, please enlighten me as to the thought process that allowed this to be a feature.

I am running Mac 10.8. FF 46 installs, but not fully. Can still browse, but bookmarks and history sidebar won't open. Add-ons are all still there, but no bookmarks in bookmarks toolbar, a number of other items are now missing, but can be accessed in other ways. Appears now to be a shell of the former UI. Does this mean that it has reached EOL?

Each time I start my browser(firefox) it loads my homepage(bbc) and then opens 4 tabs with my extensions listed, one for each. It states I must re-install add on. It has a box for "install" and another box "continue". Each time I have checked the install box and continue box. It then installs and enables the add ons (restarting if necessary). Later after I have left the net and shut down firefox and then return, it starts the whole process over..I have tried deleting and redownloading add ons, making sure sync is off, affirming all my programs fully updated,etc.. This just started about a week ago..

I'm stuck on an older version of MAC OSX. Not my choice. 10.6.6

I had not upgraded Firefox for some time (version thirty-something), but recently checked the "automatic update" box. I suddenly found myself updated to FF 49 even though that isn't supported on my version. It crashed constantly. After some research I downgraded to 45 ESR, now 45.5.1, but I'm still having multiple crashes daily. 8 so far this AM. Firefox has become absolutely unusable for us.

How do I downgrade further to a stable version?

Regardless of versions, FF seams to "leak" on OSX, and after opening and closing enough windows I have to exit and restart in order to free up memory or performance grinds to a halt.Even that is more frequent under 45 than it was before.

I'm REALLY frustrated at the fact that I have to be forced to upgrade my computer or operating system just to upload my videos on Facebook as my videos do not load, the post buttons do not appear and everywhere I look it says I have to be on the LATEST version of my browser! Now, I along with countless MILLIONS of other Macintosh users are on OS Versions such as Lion & Mountain Lion and THEY all deserve respect as well.... I implore you all at Mozilla to PLEASE try and repair the Firefox Browsers so they can all be used universally regardless of whether you're on Leopard or El Capitan or any other OS in the spectrum...

I just bought a new laptop (Windows 10, with Intel 530 graphics card) and the fonts in the url bar seem rather distorted. I took a screenshot to see the same URL in another browser: paulrittman.com/fonts.png

The fonts on the web pages seem pretty much the same, but the url bar font is so different compared to what I'm used to, that it grabs my attention. Is there any way to adjust how the urlbar displays fonts? I did a restart with addons disabled but the issue was the same.

I've updated to the most recent version of firefox and flash as well as uninstalled and reinstalled on multiple occasions, and I still continue to get crashes (this has been going on for well over months) Firefox is my default browser, but I've noticed that I have not had these Shockwave errors on Safari nor Chrome.

I can access my own website from Internet Explorer, and from Google Chrome, but not from Firefox. I keep getting a message in the lower left that says "waiting for ....." and it lists various and assundry websites that have nothing to do with me... such as "african-ancestries.com" or "administrator.gdansk.pl..." . Spent 3 hours with my computer support service trying to figure this out and they finally comcluded it is a Firefox issue - "go ask them". lol. This issue is occurring on both my laptop and my desktop computers, which are located in 2 different offices with 2 different servers.

SUDDENLY all sorts of websites I try to connect to say the site is not secure. Even ones I know are secure such as my bank.

Sometimes it "LETS ME" add an exception and sometimes I just can't connect and it is really really really annoying that my browsing is constantly interfered with.

How do I fix this problem. There is no way 5 sites a day or more are unsecure.

When clicking thorough the NAV menu on my website ( http://www.oxfordstrat.com/about/ ), after several clicks, the blue picture on the top makes a short white flash during transition from one page to another. This is not observed in Chrome or IE. I did also tests on my old XP where was Firefox 43 (all was ok), updated to 44.0.2 (still all was fine), once updated to Firefox 45.0.1 the white flash is there. My default PC is Z-book form HP.

I have no idea if it is a temporary issue with Firefox that will be soon fixed, or whether is it something that needs to be fixed on my website.

Thank you for your advice.

Listen, I am getting VERY UPSET and VERY TIRED of having to CONSTANTLY WRESTLE with FireFox!!!!

PEOPLE AT MOZILLA: READ THIS *VERY* CAREFULLY!!! GENERIC RESPONSES AND FORM LETTER TIPS WILL NOT DO!!!

PLEASE READ *EVERY* WORD CAREFULLY!!! PLEASE TRY TO FOLLOW ALONG WITH WHAT IS WRONG!!!!

My latest issue comes on the heels of Updating FF last night. I not only updated EVERYTHING that FF told me to, but FF itself!! Upon said update, I was NOT ABLE to see ANY images (in Facebook, or even on Google!!)!!! Neither a restart or reboot fixed the issue.

I, then, wend to the FF website where IMMEDIATELY there was an option to "REFRESH" (picture below). With this as being my supposed only option to "fix" the problem, I did it. It appears that it did fix the issue of not being able to see images... but only temporarily as it once again exhibited the same issue of not being able to see images. What I WAS NOT TOLD was that the REFRESH was going to WIPE OUT COMPLETELY ALL OF THE *MANY YEARS* of data that I worked so very hard to collect that was saved by way of saved sessions in the add-on SESSION MANAGER.

I got TWO replies (both of which I could not answer back to!). One from someone named Phillip, who basically offered little to NO HELP to SOLVE my problem (regardless of how upset one might be after losing YEARS of data!). He also tried to spin it around and tried to make it seem as it it was MY FAULT!! I DO NOT APPRECIATE that kind of attitude!! It is NOT "clearly" stated (as Phillip stated) that it would WIPE OUT all of your add-ons! You press the button and it just does what it does with no further info or needing any more input from me!!!!!!

Another reply was with some instructions on how to "roll-back" the refresh. Can anyone GUARANTEE that by going through this exhausting process that it will even work? How successful have others been with it? Not to mention that I will likely STILL be plagued with the SAME PROBLEM THAT I ORIGINALLY HAD - and STILL have!!!!!

My frustration come from SEVERAL years of having to wrestle with FF and it's MANY MANY ISSUES that NO ONE there seems to be able to figure out!! That doesn't even count the issues I have with FF on my Android device that CRASHES SEVERAL TIMES EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!!! Why can't anyone at Mozilla just get a little common sense and just put the game controllers down and sharpen their pencils? If you're going to offer a products, the least you could do is NOT SCREW OVER the people who use the product by providing crap software! Instead of being productive and working on what it was I need to get done, NOW I have to DEAL with someone's INCOMPETENCE and TRY to piece together YEARS OF LOST DATE just because someone can't write code!!! Don't expect people to be HAPPY about losing ANY amount of data!!! Don't you guys get it? Maybe it's about time you DO!!!!!

I am getting the message of : "Your connection is not secure"

The owner of www.google.com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.

This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to specify that Firefox only connect to it securely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate.

Steps I've taken are:

1. Deleting Cert8.db File (Successfully Deleted) and clearing all history n cache's

2. Going into advanced settings --> Connection --> Selecting No Prox --> Hitting Ok

These are the general solutions I've found on Mozilla support that have worked for other people, now I'm stumped on what to do next. Other suggestions are specifications that don't match up to mine. So below are some of my computer specifications I hope that will help.

Relevant Settings:

Windows 10 Pro

Kaspersky Total Security (v. 15.0.2.361(d) )

Firefox 45.0.1 (20160315153207) Security Update Installed on: March 19, 2016 5:10:09 AM Status: The Update was successfully installed
