Hi, I've just accidentally deleted my whole partition which I save the back up bookmark (.json). I did manage to recovered it from a program but it seem like Firefox unable to process it. And my Sync Data seem to be gone too. And I know nothing about json file (yeah, I did some research but it seem it's out of my range.) I guess anyone can help me?

I've upgraded to Win 8.1, Firefox v26, Shockwave, Flash, and the newest Java JRE's. YouTube videos result in an error message and to try again later. The interesting feature is that IE v11 will show the videos with no error. The Win 8.1 upgrade took away my sound, and I've read the other problems that seem to be related to YouTube and sound. But, IE plays the videos with no sound, so that's not sound related.

Hi, The subject is sort of self explanatory but for the last few months (not sure exactly when) i have had regular Firefox crashes, it seems to happen when i'm out of memory and FF has used all the available RAM. I have a MBP with i7 and 8gig of RAM using the latest OSX 10.9.1 and latest FF 26. I always keep up to date with the software. Usually i have about 20 or so tabs open and go back and forth between these. I have googled and read allot on this topic and most people recommend starting in safe mode, without add-ons , creating clean profile etc and i have done these but slowly i get back into the same issue even after a clean profile.... It seems for every FF update the memory usage increases....back in the day FF was extremely fast and efficient. Or maybe latest FF just wants to remember so much and save just to much old information which leads to these ridiculous amount of memory usage, i tend to go over 3-4gig RAM after half a day alone before it crashes and all my tabs are lost which is extremely frustrating. Is there a way to limit the memory usage? Only helpful tips i have found so far that seems to remove allot of garbage from the cache and the footprint is going to about:memory and run the "minimize memory usage", this has been working great and so far after 2-3 hours its steady on 900meg (more or less) with 16 tabs open. Isnt this something FF needs to do regularly to get rid of old stuff ? i saw youtube and many other old stuff in the cache which i was not using and caused FF to go over 2 gig or so before i run this so why isnt this automated? as a user i shouldnt need to care about such thins really. I also used Safari for a few weeks with same amount of tabs and it never goes over 800-900 meg. I really hope you guys can explain and give me some tips as to how to limit the memory usage of FF and not the regular make a clean profile and generic tips. I really think the problem is FF and nothing else. I done extensive testing here and i'm using just a few add-ons Adblock plus All in one Gestures Swedish dictioanary Downloadhelper Screengrab Download Statusbar
Sorry if i sound irritated but having to lose my tabs daily and being forced to bookmark my tabs constantly just in case FF crashes has been bugging me for a while now and i'm on the verge to switch browser but frankly there is no other browser as good as FF (offering same amount of plugins/add-ons) so i badly want to use FF if possible.

I am having to open IE and manually paste that into the URL from there. I would revert to 25; but I do not see a link for that. How can I either revert, or fix the issues. Thanks

Only when using the 64 bits version does the symptom appear. This is running on Ubuntu 10 64 bits. I don't even know where to look for, the problem appears also in Safe Mode, but does not seem to leave any trace. Thanks for pointers to solutions or educational posts, or troubleshooting tips. On Linux Fedora (19 & 20 at least, likely others) Firefox automatically finds network attached printers, completely independently of CUPS. The printer it finds for me is legitimate, but it doesn't install drivers to make it work correctly. If this printer is used, it will print out gibberish; sometimes PDF control language, other times total junk. It won't render the page right, and wastes tons of paper.

Why doesn't Firefox 26.0 doesn't show my downloads anymore!!!!
In the last version of firefox 25.0.1 still showed the download window when using downloadhelper, now in version 26.0 I no longer see the download box. When I go to about:config my setting are as they were in version 25.0.1 but there is still no download box opening. Will this issue be fixed and or will I need will downgrade to version 25.0.1.????

Things have gotten worse. I am unable to reset Firefox because the moment I go to Tools> (etc) reset Firefox, it crashes.
None of the Flash help I have received from both Adobe and Mozilla is helpful.
I finally uninstalled Firefox completely and on a whim, thought I would install Seamonkey. It runs.........But, will not play ANY Flash. The plug in crashes as soon as I try to access any Flash site.
I can use Chrome with no difficulty. I can use IE with no difficulty. So, guess what??? Firefox is out until someone can fix the problem. I'm convinced that Firefox can not handle any Flash software whether Macromedia, Adobe, Shockwave or any other part of it. That is totally unacceptable.
The way I see it, I need to revert to an older version of Firefox AND Flash player. Once I can do that I think it will work together because none of this happened until the newest version was installed.
Where can I find all the older versions of Firefox?? And will I have any difficulty installing them.
Like I said before, I'm a long time fan of Firefox. Problem is, it tries my patience just to get it running again when you folks do an upgrade. The problem ALWAYS involves Flash in some form.

I made a couple bookmarks. These bookmarked sites end with the extention: '.pdf'. Its a link that i can directly see/download the PDF file. Now that i dont need them anymore, i want to delete them. But when i open the bookmarks, right-click on the bookmark and press 'delete', it wont delete. It stays right where they are. Other bookmarks can be deleted, but those that are direct link to a pdf file cant.
Firefox crashes
It always crashes on Facebook if I'm there very long. The longer I have Firefox open the greater risk of crashing and I have to shut it down with Task Manager.
I am unable to "open link behind mail" using Mac Mail now. It used to work fine, and just clicking works but not right clicking to open behind mail. Please help

The Firefox plugin checker is reporting "Update Now" for VLC media player Web Plugin 2.1.0. The 'update now' link invites me to download Plugin 2.1.2. but i already have 2.1.2 installed so the plugin checker is detecting the wrong version. I have had v2.1.2 installed since December 9th 2013 and run the plugin checker on a weekly basis so i'm not sure why it has suddenly decided that this is a vulnerable plugin.

I have had 1-click Youtube video downloader addon installed for a little while now and it has always worked well. However, recently I tried to change to a different addon (in fact several different ones) but the Download button then disappeared. I have since re-installed Firefox and returned to 1-click Youtube Video downloader, but still when in a YouTube video page the Download button is missing, no matter which videos I select.
I would much appreciate some assistance as I use the YouTube Video download option a lot!

Hello, I am using a c# program to send Firefox some commands.Everything works great, but sometimes when I send a -new-tab command like: "firefox.exe -new-tab http://www.google.com"
Firefox freezes for few seconds before opening the new tab.I tried removing all the parameters from the command and just send "http://www.google.com" to the system while Firefox is set as the default browser, and the same problem arises again.
I also tried doing the same while Firefox is in safe-mode and still the problem appears sometimes. How can I troubleshoot this and know what makes firefox freeze for those few seconds?.

I have Firefox 26.0 installed (though this has happened in previous versions). I have been through all the previous questions about this problem, but none match what I'm seeing. It's happening to others accessing my web site. I have a sample web page that I have up that presents the problem at http://flory.net/gabl/docx.htm.
When I click on the link on the above page (an office 2007 word document .docx), I get a page of gibberish as though it downloads the file as a text document. I've been through all the steps I could find in support to fix this to no avail, including resetting all defaults, etc. .doc works great, but I cannot find anything in the Options/Applications that will allow me to modify/add info to handle neither .doc nor .docx.

I am running Firefox 26 on Windows 7. Last night Windows needed to do some security updates so I closed Firefox as I normally do by using the exit tab and let Windows go ahead with its updates. This morning I found that Firefox had been deleted. I looked to see that my sessionstore.js file from last night still existed and it does. When Firefox came up all of my tabs were gone, also my bookmarks, add-ons, etc. I clicked on "restore previous session" but nothing happens. I have a bookmarks file from last night in the bookmarks folder, and the sessionstore.js file is dated from last night when I closed Firefox in a normal manner. I'm stumped. Firefox didn't crash, I closed it as I always do before I allowed Microsoft to update Windows and reboot. What am I missing/doing wrong? I'm leaving this session open so that I can continue to have access to that sessionstore file, plus I have copied it to a folder I use for these kinds of disasters. This necessary windows update also deleted my MailWasher Pro program, changed the way that Windows Explorer operates and other "fun" surprises. Thanks Microsoft. It is barely possible that I can recreate my tabs and that would be hugely aggravating, but I have no way of re-creating all of my bookmarks. I need help.
