Which future Firefox version is planned for TLS 1.2 support?

Why IE, Safari, and Opera are ahead of Firefox in that very important particular security feature!

Come' on Mozilla, instead of the countless rapid releases, concentrate on the security part.

I have just got a new laptop running Windows 8, I do not use the start screen, I have downloaded Start Windows 8 and only use the desktop. I have downloaded Firefox and I am currently using vesion 20.0.1

I added MyWot and Adblock Plus and Downloader Helper.

Initially I was having a problem with the display of Cnet and the odd other site. I figured this was likely to be an issue with Adblock Plus, I disabled it on that site and it was fine. I then started losing the email functions in Yahoo mail, 'move', 'forward' etc. that run along the top of the inbox, and the drop down menu to log out woudn't show. I've since been getting problems with the display of other websites such as booking.com and now the Facebook log in page. By displaying incorrectly, I mean things appearing in line and in Times New Roman.

I have restarted with add ons disabled that didn't fix it, so I reset Firefox. This had the sites working. I reinstalled MyWot, restaretd, stillworked. Reinstalled Downloader Helper, restarted, still worked. I did not reinstall Adblock. I was using the Transport for London wesbite which was fine until I logged out and then that page appeared in Times New Roman too. The Facebook log in page is also broken again. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know my way around a computer to an extent but I'm not that techy. I've done the auto add information below, I don't know what most of it means (Avast plug in has been disabled through all this).

I have not been having these problems on my old XP laptop that I've still been using.

So, after updating to Adobe Flash 11.7...I can no longer watch a single video anywhere on the web without the sound randomly cutting out. Flash does not crash, it just stops playing the sound and keeps playing the video. I can rewind the video to a time before it cut out but then it cuts out again RIGHT as I rewind to a new point in the video. Where as before in the location I rewound to, it did not have the sound cut out before when I first watched up to and past that point. I have no idea what has caused this (except or maybe Adobe screwed something up).

Does anyone else have this issue? And what have you done to solve it (if you have)? Also, if this a Firefox only issue? Or is it everyone Web browser?

Thanks for any help given.

I have been experiencing this problem for a few weeks now and I've been searching the internet for an answer but I cant find any information about it anywhere. Basically this is what happens:

1. I'll go to some webpage, it doesn't matter which page or what website its on, it seems to happen randomly from time to time. 2. I'll notice that when I mouse-over any of the links on the page that the mouse doesn't turn into the little pointing finger, the mouse just continues to look like the regular arrow. 3. The first click I make ANYWHERE on the page will cause an ad to open up in another tab and it will switch to that tab. 4. I close the tab and go back to my original tab and the page works normally now.

I have removed or disabled all suspicious looking addons, and I have also uninstalled a program that looked suspicious. I also ran a scan with Malwarebytes and it found a few 'infections' but the problem persists even after removing them. I know that the ads aren't part of the pages I visit. For example I was filling out a job application for Del Taco or something and I had this problem on one of the pages. Also I run a website and it even happens on my own website sometimes! Also just today Firefox randomly shutdown for no reason at all, one second I'm watching a Youtube video, the next second and looking at my desktop. No error, no nothing. I restarted Firefox and It gave me the "Well this is embarrassing" page. Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW I'm using Windows 7 64 bit

I reinstalled FireFox, and the built in PDF reader is a piece of junk. Notably, it forces me to download EVERY PDF, regardless of using your junky PDF viewer or the Adobe Acrobat (I have the Full version of 9.5). Everything worked perfectly until you decided to include a PDF viewer in your program.

I have tried everything to make it work. So, since I cannot get any support from Mozilla for the product, I am switching to either Chrome or Safari. I have been using FF for years, but I guess you seem to think that you know what I want better than I do, so I am dumping FF and going elsewhere. You are NOT the only sandbox in the playground, folks. Now I am taking my toys and playing elsewhere.

If you ever decide to start paying attention to the people who use your products, perhaps I will return.

Looking for an explanation here if someone (preferably from the Firefox team) can provide one. I upgraded to version 20.0 this morning, and upon opening the new download manager window (Library) I was faced with my entire download history from the past 6+ months. This is something of a concern, because for as long as I've been using Firefox I've never had it set to remember my download history; it would always download a file and clear automatically to save me the bother of having to clear it manually.

It's rather concerning to me that a privacy setting has seemingly only been controlling what the user sees (i.e. an empty download history) as opposed to what Firefox is actually storing.

Is there a reason this has been happening? I'm already happy that it's nothing to do with DownThemAll as the files in the download history were not downloaded using DTA.

Since firefox 17.0 EVERYTIME firefox updates to a new version norton 360 stops detecting tracking cookies for several weeks and and then starts again. This has occurred with EVERY version (17, 18, 19, and now 20) what is causing this and who will fix it. I asked this question when 17.0 came out and never received a satisfactory answer. I am sick and tired of having norton 360 only work properly 1/3 the time because of your sick contest with google chrome to bring out new versions. Note - this does NOT occur with bug fixes like 19.01 19.02 for example. I like firefox however if this does not change I will find another browser and remove firefox. Why do you have to bring out these new versions so rapidly - bug fixes and security updates are required to be released rapidly but these new versions are driving me crazy. You need to have better communication with Norton etc. when you bring out new versions but why do you have to bring out new versions every 6 weeks. I set firefox to manually check for updates however when I checked for updates on 4-3-2013 it downloaded and installed the 20.0 update without giving me the choice to install at this time - this needs to be changed to give users the option to download and install when they chose. - Norton says to wait to install until any required patch has been applied to install new versions of firefox but you do not give users that option.

Hello.

I'm running Firefox version 20.0.1, and I can't login on certain websites. The login details are corect, since I can login using Chrome. This started after the update to that latest version of Firefox. I haven't installed any new add-ons before the update, or after it.

I cleared the cache (using Ccleaner and also from within browser's options), but that didn't solve my problem. I also cleared cookies, deleted browsing history, made sure I accepted 3rd party cookies. I also un-ticked the "I don't want to be tracked" option. I made sure that the sites I can't login into are not blocked from accepting cookies, or from anything else.

I have some add-ons installed (Ad-block, HTTPS everywhere, etc.), which I disabled one-by-one to see if they were causing problems, but with no success. Since I could login before the update, it's clearly not an add-on problem here.

Thank you.

When I login to Yahoo mail, it signs me out after a couple hours even though I selected to remain signed in for 2 weeks in account settings. This same sign out behavior occurs in IE 10 also. This is a Windows 7 Home OS desktop. This problem only happens on this one computer for me at home. It only started doing this a couple weeks ago on this computer. I have had this computer for at least 2 years and it never signed me out automatically prior to this. I am pretty sure the problem is due to Firefox.

But my computer at work which is also Windows 7 never signs me out of Yahoo Mail like this. I already contacted Yahoo about this problem and followed all of their troubleshooting steps to no avail. Is this a known issue? (I do have Microsoft Security Essentials installed also).
