Babylon search downloaded with Firefox Download. I have removed the toolbar and altered the search and set Google as my browser but Babylon search comes up first each time I open my browser. I have reset all defaults but Babylon still comes up. I have run Malware and Super anti-spyware programs. Nothing shows.

The Babylon "program" is hiding somewhere. I also get underlines in my browser and links that I do not want. Ideas please.

I downloaded the latest version of Firefox and I noticed that I get re-directed to other sites sponsored by "Info Atoms".

I called myself removing it by looking up troubleshooting tips elsewhere. I was told to go into the registry editor ("regedit") and locate the files and delete them. I did that and I still get redirected to Info Atoms sites, and see pop-up menus under fields where I am to type in a key word search.

This only happened since I got Firefox. None of the other browsers on my PC had this.

I just want to know how to get rid of it once and for all.

It's not listed in my programs list, does not turn up on a search done from my START menu. It's buried somewhere in my registry settings.

The problem started a week ago. I don't know what started it. I updated flash but it didn't fix the problem. Other browsers could load youtube, but my primary browser is Firefox and it would be a hassle to open other browsers for a video.

Running auto updated Firefox 17.0.1 on Windows 7. I used to be able to stream Netflix just fine until late in the evening, 11/30/2012. I tried to stream a movie and Netflix showed a window saying it couldn't due to a problem using Silverlight, code 2103. Netflix suggested I remove and reload Silverlight. I did, twice. I also updated Firefox yesterday, just in case. Still, no joy. I can stream Netflix just fine with Internet Explorer. What gives?

It happened suddenly. After that, I reset computer to an earlier date. Did not fix problem. I reloaded Internet explorer, Version 8. Did not fix problem. I can access Hotmail from another computer without problem. I think I changed something in tools that might have caused the problem. All fixes and virus checking are up to date.

Appreciate any help you can provide.

Hello. I want to get off of the beta channel but have run into a snag. I went to uninstall FF prior to reinstalling, but there is only a FF 15 listed in my Control Panel and this will not initiate an uninstall. My browser shows that I am on v 17. I am wanting to opt out of the beta as flash is continually crashing. Then it will work for a couple of days, then an update hits and back to the same problems. I'm not sure if I should just do an install as I don't want to lose my settings etc. Thanks very much.

I am trying to get firefox to invoke a custom program when it encounters a magnet url. I have added the protocol(HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT > magnet > shell > open > command) with regedit. It appears to be added correctly, since Chrome is able to understand it without further configuration.

I have tried adding the network.protocol-handler.expose.magnet boolean key in about:config in firefox. Neither having it set to false nor true changes anything.

The error i am getting is along the lines with "firefox does not know how to open the magnet protocol since it is not associated with any program"(My message is not in english so no exact translation).

Also, no mention of magnet shows up under Programs in the firefox settings.

My Firefox version is 17.0.1 The program association i set in regedit is "E:\Program\Python27\pythonw.exe" "E:\Program\Misc\magnet_add.pyw" "%1"

Thanks in advance for your help
