I was customizing my background by loading a picture. It's adult in nature. It should be my computer in my in my private home. When something amazing started happening. If I load ANY image with a naked woman on it After a few minutes Fire fox auto removes it. I have done this 30 times. I use ANY fire fox picture it's fine stays there forever. Load ANY picture with a naked woman on it and poof 2 minutes later it's gone. So please can you explain to me why whats claimed to be the most private and secure browser around is censoring me in my own home about what backgrounds I can have? I find this highly disturbing. And I am quite serious I have had them removed at least 30 times. I'm 56 y/o If I want a naked woman on my background it should be my business not fire foxes. Also no chrome is not doing it. neither is windows. It's Firefox removing them. Any explanation would be nice.

Hi, I'm using Firefox 142 on Ubuntu 24.04. It's a fresh install. I cannot sign in icloud.com with Firefox even though it works with other browsers like Brave. I deleted all cookies and site data and disabled extensions (KeePassXC). It doesn't help. I tried in new private window. No success. I copy my password from a password manager, so, no, I haven't mistyped it.

Here's what I do:

1. Open Firefox and go to icloud.com
2. Click on the "Sign In" button
3. Enter my Apple-ID and click on the arrow on the right end of the "Email or Phone Number" field

At this point Brave behaves differently than Firefox. See below for how Brave behaves.

Firefox: -> A "Password" field appears (no buttons "Continue with Password" and "Sign in with Passkey")

1. Enter my password and click on the arrow on the right end of the "Password" field

-> Error message "Failed to verify your identity. Try again" appears. See icloud.png

Brave: -> Two buttons "Continue with Password" and "Sign in with Passkey" appear. See icloud-with-brave.png

1. Click on button "Continue with Password"

-> A "Password" field appears.

1. Enter my password and click on the arrow on the right end of the "Password" field

-> 2FA code is sent to my iPhone -> "Two-Factor Authentication" form opens... etc. complete sign in successfully

Unfortunately I cannot attach the HAR file from the login sequence because the password is included. However, I attached some screenshots from the Web Developer Tools. It seems to me that the login flow with Firefox is broken. I can't tell who's to blame, Apple of Firefox. The error message with Firefox is always the same, no matter whether I enter the correct password or rubbish. In Brave, however, there is a more precise error message when I enter a bad password. i switched the download folder to the "desktop",but still it saves whatever i download in the "default" folder of downloads....even when i checked that it actually in the settings says it was changed....im using Firefox142.0.1 (64-bit)

I only want the VPN on my desktop computer not on my phone I donot use my phone for internet just my computer and laptop now tried to signup for a subscription but it wants my phone sorry no phone computers only ?? now how to do it on my computer ?? I recently got a new machine and loaded it with Linux Mint 21.3 - Cinnamon, FF 142.0 and Bitwarden Version: 2025.8.2 along with the usual cadre of extensions that I use on every other machine I have.

When I first start Firefox, Bitwarden autofill suggestions does not work, autofill from the "Fill" button in Bitwarden does not work and returns an error. The only thing that works is to individually and manually copy the username, paste it, then copy the password and paste it.

If I log out of Reddit and then try to log back in, the autofill suggestions works and the "Fill" button also works.

This is only on Firefox and only on the fresh start of the app. This does not occur on Chrome and I have not tried (and don't want to try) it on Windows.

While using an opened tab which I want to keep in place, I find it frustrating that if I want to click on one of my bookmarks in my toolbar, it uses the tab I am currently in which, of course disappears and is overridden with my selection of a bookmark. Is there a setting for me to change how my choosing of a bookmark reacts? I want it to open in a new tab and not on the one I am working with. I have looked everywhere and I cannot find a setting for this.

For a while now firefox has been unable to enter fullscreen when pressing F11. Instead all it does is move the "Scroll forwards", "Open a new tab", and "List all tabs" button over slightly (The buttons on the top right, next to the minimize and close buttons).

I don't know what's going on with firefox.

I can NO longer log into my BANK, I changed the security settings back to "standard" but I STILL CANNOT LOG INTO MY BANK. it's website acts as though I'm a new customer & want's me to open an account,I ALREADY HAVE AN ACCOUNT & HAVE HAD AN ACCOUNT AT THAT BANK FOR MANY YEARS! I have jumped through many "loops" at the bank trying to fix this mess, but they can't,FIREFOX IS NOW THE PROBLEM & someone needs to find out what they changed in their updates that has prevented me from logging into my BANK.

when I try to access the Gallery photos page on OneDrive, especially in the 'For you' section, I get a gray screen and nothing happens. When I check the console, it shows the issues I've captured in the screenshot. I tried this on Mac and Ubuntu with a fresh profile and a clear internet connection. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening? Firefox Version is the latest 142.0.1 No problem with Vivaldi, Chrome etc.

I have contacted Microsoft. After testing the link/page loads in Edge, Chome (with and without addins same in ff) and Brave. But does not load in FF (with addon's disabled) nor in Private browsing FF (no addins obviously) they said to reach out to FireFox for support. I tried in edge (regular, not private) and it plays the stupid slideshow with music just fine, and I can get out of it and view the regular memory page that I want (Music really!? If I have taken photos in past years on a particular date, I get an email from Microsoft to review them. I normally do it on my phone, but today tried it from my computer. The path is "One Drive" "Photos" "Moments" and then "On This Day." If you click on the photos that in the graphic that looks like a movie strip, a montage of the photos shows up and you can also click on one. However, in Firefox, I click on a picture and the screen goes gray, but nothing ever loads. I thought it was a Microsoft issue so used their help function. The rep and I tried it, then cleared the cache, then tried it in a private setting. We got the same result every time. Then he tried it whatever Microsoft's browser is called and it worked just fine. They said it was a problem on the Mozilla Firefox end, so I'm reporting it. Please let me know if you can help me make it work. I don't like using anything except Firefox.

Hello For some reason most of the buttons in my toolbar have stopped working. When I first open Firefox they all work, then when I enter websites they stop working. The 'home' button still seems to work, but almost all others (such as the 'back' button etc) can't be selected. This is very frustrating. To note, I am not tech savvy at all.

Over the years I have saved many bookmarks across several different devices. Therefore the bookmarks vary between devices. Is there any way that I can tidy up my bookmarks, deleting many of them, on my main machine and then have all the other devices Synch to that list only?

I have tried deleting ALL the bookmarks on the "subsidiary" devices and then synched them but that didn't work. I think I'm asking whether one device can be made the "master" for all the others to Synch to that one and none of the others.

Mozilla Firefox began to crash all the time; crashes happen almost every ten minutes, and it happens with every site. It still lasts about for several weeks. I tried to reinstall Firefox; I updated my drivers for my computer; I cleared cash and history in the settings; I tried to delete some files from Firefox's folder. All these things did not help. The crashes may happen with any site, and it can happen any time. I have no problem with memory shortage. My system consists of Ryzen 7 5800x, Radeon RX 7800 XT and G.Skill Flare X (for AMD) DDR4 2x16Gb.

I've yet to test on other sites and haven't found any solutions while looking it up, every 3d element is shown as a black box, I don't really have any other way to describe it

I saw bunch of threads which suggest to enable "ctrl+tab cycles through tabs in recently used order". It does what I need, but in previous versions I used to press only ctrl+tab. While I was holding ctrl I could iterate over tabs via tab key. After releasing ctrl selected tab was chosen

It differs with current behavior where you press ctrl+tab and after releasing all keys pop up with tabs is still be viewed and you need manual action with space/enter/mouse click to open selected tab

Is there any way to use only ctrl+tab without any manual actions required like it was back in the days where after releasing the control key selected tab is opened?
