I use multiple Firefox profiles. I would like an EASY way to see the name of the Firefox profile somewhere on the screen. The attached image shows a theme I created which shows the name of the profile on the menu bar. I forgot exactly how I did it, but it involved typing this in a Word document, taking a screenshot and turning it into a jpeg, crop the image, upload it as a theme, then test it. Repeated several times until I got it to work.

I don't need or want fancy graphics here. I just need the name of the Firefox profile to appear somewhere in the window. In my fantasy world, there would be an option to include this name in the window Title bar.

Firefox was working well on HTTP websites until a few days ago, but now HTTPS-Only Mode seems to be permanent. Despite changing settings to 'Don’t enable HTTPS-Only Mode', when HTTP sites are selected I get the same message as for 'HTTPS-Only Mode'. Also, if I select 'Enable HTTPS-Only Mode in all windows' and add exceptions, I get the same result.

Hi Firefox We work in a government institution and we use Firefox because it is a unique, fast and safe program. We thank you for your efforts to develop the browser But we encountered a problem with the new update while printing the PDF files. It was showing us the option to print in portrait or landscape format, and when you updated version 14, this option no longer appeared. Where we deleted the new program, installed the older version, and stopped the update We trust you to solve the problem in the next update, and we ask you to give the matter importance

i've tried toggling media.hardwaremediakeys off and pressing the media keys to no avail, they don't seem to have any effect when it's enabled or disabled. the keys work on other applications like VLC media player, though! and I can see that the media is being detected from firefox, too, as it appears in media player widgets i have on my plasma desktop. it seems to be only the physical keys that aren't working, because i can press buttons on the widgets to control media playing in firefox.

We use Microsoft MDT for computer deployment. We have been installing the Standard version of Firefox for a long time with no problem. Recently we started using AD GPO Templates to configure firefox. To be able to configure certain settings you need to be running the ESR version. I downloaded the more recent ESR version: 102.12.0esr.msi file.

When deploying machine MDT to install Mozilla firefox I keep getting this error: Application Mozilla Firefox ESR returned an unexpected return code: 1618

This is the only application having issues and this issue only came up since I change the installation file to the ESR version.

This is the install command being used in MDT: msiexec /i "Firefoxesr.msi" /qn /norestart

I am posting here and not with MDT support, as this only started happening when I changed the installation file to the ESR version. Has anybody else had a problem deploying ESR version through MDT? Any help on how to fix?

On Google Docs, the very useful shortcut "Alt+/" for executing menu actions by name exists, similar M-x in Emacs or Ctrl+Shift+A in PyCharm or Ctrl+Shift+P in VS Code.

On a German keyboard, there is no "/" key. In Chrome the hotkey "Alt+#" works instead. In Firefox, it does not.

This hotkey is particularly important, because it gives quick access to menu actions, that have no hotkey assigned, or for which the hotkey does not work on the current layout.

Is there something I can do to make it work?

Note. Based on what I know, I cannot tell if this is an issue with Firefox not sending the Alt+# key correctly, a special feature of Chrome that isn't present in Firefox, or a cross-browser compatibility issue of Google Docs, that should be blamed on Google Docs and not Firefox.

Firefox 114.0.2 (64-bit), running on Open Suse 15.3, 64 bit.

I view a page, for example, news.yahoo.com. I usually scroll down a way, possibly to the bottom. I step away, and when I come back I want to refresh the page. Up until about two weeks ago, when I press F5 to refresh the page, it would automatically scroll back to the top of the page. Now it seems to go to (maybe) a percentage of the page based on where it was last scrolled. I then have to manually scroll back to the top to see the latest headlines. Was Firefox behavior changed? Is there a setting to control page refresh behavior?

We are looking to mass deploy Firefox x64 for Windows to all staff in our organization, using SCCM. I know you can set a default home page in mozilla.cfg for all users, including future users who don't yet have a profile on the computer Firefox is installed on. Is there a similar option so I can configure Firefox to always show the menu bar for all users? Preferably, another line I can add to mozilla.cfg so that I can easily copy that to all our machines? Thanks.

I tried to log in to a website that requires access to my location. I'm using Firefox 114.02 on an iMac running Monterey 12.6.7. I was able to get in to Firefox's Location settings and now have the website listed with "Allow" noted. This was not enough, and for some time I didn't understand why. Then I discovered the Mac's System Preferences' Security and Privacy section, where Location Services are one category under Privacy. Selecting Location Services brings up a list of apps that are allowed to provide location information. For some reason, other browsers are on the list and can be turned on or off, but Firefox is not on the list of apps that can be selected as permitted. Am I missing something here? I can't find any way to add apps to the list so that they can actually be selected. Any advice?

'System theme — auto' does not work and causes CPU usage 100% I noticed this July 1 an increase in CPU usage of up to 100% when viewing videos on YouTube from Mozilla. I removed all my add-ons without improvement. I noticed that this phenomenon did not occur when viewing in 'full screen' but only in a window. By disabling the 'System theme — auto' theme, the problem disappeared. I noticed that this theme was updated to version 1.3 today July 1st. I add that this theme, which is supposed to follow the system theme, does not work correctly under Windows 10 when, as for my system personalized theme have been set. I have ‘title bar and windows borders’ in green option for active windows and in purple for inactive windows. Mozilla displays the 'title bar' in black.
