I am running Linux Mint 19 and when I tried to activate the container extension some options were not selectable and a msg appeared at the top of my settings: "Your browser is being managed by your organization" I am a home user and never had anything to do with any corporate PC. The policy it lists is: disableappupdate true. Everything I see in the help database for this pblm pertains to Windows. As I said above I am running linux mint.

what is going on here???

LINUX. see subject, please. i started on this laptop w/ mint. 5 or 6 years ago. then downloaded peppermint 1 and has been working great, but the browser does not update automatically like is said. Then, my Linux guy up and passed away. I know no one in town that uses it. I'M ON LINUX. any help appreciated. have gotten some replies with folk trying to help, but it just wants to download/install whole program. my bank wants me to upgrade to at least 115. can't access accts. i'm using peppermint 1.0 with Firefox browser 113.0.2. my bank says i need to upgrade to FFox 115 Linux. I can't access accts til i upgrade. i can't find 115 nor does the system auto upgrade like it says using the "about firefox" ... this is as far as i can get. suggestions, anyone? here's a screencap. Gosh, the thought of returning to Windows makes me very uncomfortable. I see lots of folk are having this sort of problem.

I am using Firefox Developer Edition in a work environment that only saves directories between weekly restarts by explicitly managed rules. As a result of some missing folders from my weekly restarts, I need to sign in to my Firefox account and enable sync each week. Currently my machine retains the %APPDATA%/Mozilla and %LOCALAPPDATA%/Mozilla directories + children.

What other directories are needed by Firefox Developer Edition in Windows to retain the user profile/syncing, et. al.?

When attempting to enter full screen mode on Firefox for Android, and to get into landscape mode, the browser appears to crash, keeps audio playing, and "entering full screen mode" dialogue pops up. Have to open Firefox again, and can only be viewed in landscape mode while session is continued. To return to non-landscape mode, the app needs to be force stopped, otherwise you only get to see the left one third side of any web page you navigate to. Seems to have started with most recent update. Is there any way to fix?

Hello,

I choose to use FireFox when viewing video content. Only I have this persistent issue when I'm watching/listening a video/podcast and I need to goto a different Tab/Page or use an App or perform a different task, when I return to the tab with paused video it will reload and then the video page will refresh or re-open back to the video list/menu. This causes me to lose my position in the timeline and must find my place again manually. I've noticed this happens after a certain amount of time has passed, not much though, like 60 seconds or so, maybe more. This is frustrating and time consuming and I've noticed this doesn't occur in many chromium based browsers. That said, I strive to avoid google altogether and would rather stick it out with Firefox.

Hello At the moment I is not able to log into an official Spanish WEB-site using Firefox version: 113.0.2 (64-bit) /Windows 11. I have sent the following question to the certificate issuer (accv.es):

I have a certificate issued by you which is verified OK. It works fine with:
https://sede.agenciatributaria.gob.es
https://www.suma.es

but with dgt: https://sede.dgt.gob.es/es/ I get this message when trying to log in to 'mi DGT': XML Parsing Error: no root element found Location: https://sede.dgt.gob.es/es/mi_dgt/index.shtml Line Number 1, Column 1: Can you help find the solution to the problem.? Accv.es have so far not given me any clues to what I can do.

The following issue may occur if you embed the Amazon Connect Contact Control Panel (CCP) into your agent application and your users access the Amazon Connect CCP using the Firefox web browser with Enhanced Tracking Protection browser setting set to Strict.

An upgrade to Firefox, specifically Firefox non-ESR version 86 released on February 23, 2021, introduced Total Cookie Protection

which modified cookie sharing behavior across sites for users with Enhanced Tracking Protection set to Strict (Firefox defaults to Standard). Users with this specific browser setting and version combination may be unable to access the Amazon Connect CCP when embedded in another application, preventing them from handling contacts.

To prevent impact to your users (agents), we recommend that your users do one of the following:

  1. Confirm (or set) Enhanced Tracking Protection as Standard in their browser settings. Users can do this by following instructions documented here.


  1. Do not upgrade their Firefox browser version to v86 or higher.
  1. Use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge to access the Amazon Connect CCP.


That's how AWS is blocking firefox users to access the sound in a firefox browser. How to fix that?

I have been using an old version of Firefox (109.0.1). I am not typically using a newer version because of an essential - to me - add-on which hasn't been updated, and which doesn't work in more recent versions.

On macOS Sierra this old version of Firefox crashes. Troubleshooting mode (I was prompted a number of times) and restarting the browser appears to eventually resolve the crash, but finally there is an issue with the memory and the browser doesn't "work."

The link colors are suddenly incorrect. Normally the links are blue and the visited links are purple, but now they are pastel light-blue and pastel pink. This problem is not in Edge or Chrome. I am using Firefox 113.0.1

I have tried - rebooting windows - windows shutdown, wait, restart - changing the firefox website appearance and themes (auto, dark, light) Still no solution. Any ideas? Thanks.

I am having a problem with the Audio and Closed Caption The CC leads the Audio by 40 seconds to a minute. Very frustrating... I seem to only have this problem with HULU and Prime Video. All other streaming platforms work great. I am using Windows 7 64 bit
