hi I would like ask if is any way manually to update Root Certificate for my old firefox 88 .My extension ublock stop working today .I try to this but not works in my firefox .

I do not want to update my firefox .There is any way to do somthing to works Add-Ons.

All of my addons are disabled and won't re-enable!

They all say "addon name" could not be verified for use in Nightly and has been disabled. See attachment clipboard00.jpg

If I try to install an addon from the recommended extensions settings (for example "return youtube dislike ") I get a message bubble stating "The Addon downloaded from this site could not be installed because it appears to be corrupt. {OK!}" See attachment clipboard01.jpg

The message above about addons appearing to be corrupt happens if I go to any of my current addon pages and try to redownload them.

I have a few extensions in Firefox but if I click on the extensions button in the toolbar it now takes me to a Personalize Firefox page where, if I click on Extensions, it only gives me the option of turning them off or on and not to activate or access them. For instance, one extension is Volume Booster which cannot be adjusted on this page. How can I get back to being able to actually using these add-ons?

I keep installing the Add-on to customize the message body toolbar. Unfortunately, the toolbar returns after a while. Now I can't seem to find the Add-on to customize it.

I just want to put in a request to correct whatever code issues that stopped the plugin xPunge from working starting with TB 140.0.1. I upgraded to this version without knowing there would be this issue. Rather than roll back, I was hoping it would be something that would be resolved quickly, as I know there has been a lot of work on the code for compacting folders recently. I like to keep my folders in good condition, emptying the trash and compacting folders regularly throughout the day. That is a very tedious process when you have four different accounts. xPunge solved that issue nicely. Thanks for the consideration. I couldn't find this in any forum (other than some very old threads that are no longer applicable or relevant), and I couldn't find an extension/add-on that does that either (or rather, I did find one, but it's discontinued and not compatible with current Thunderbird), but I want to store only the plain-text part of multipart messages (text + HTML) that I receive, deleting the HTML part.

The reason for this is that I need to save disk space. I'm a digital hoarder, and I archive every relevant email message I receive (I only don't store spam that escapes through the cracks and reaches me, and such disposable messages as 2FA login codes and the like). I have several sound reasons to do that, but old messages have been useful to me as reference countless times. I have about 86,000 emails stored, sorted into a variety of message folders by topic, correspondent, etc. Some date as far back as 1996, having survived lots of account, email client, and hardware migrations through diligent backups and restores.

This results in a very large disk usage, and I must minimize it, for both space itself and backup time reasons. And the difference in size can be dramatic. Just one newsletter that I'm subscribed to sends me 3-4 messages a day, of which I'll probably keep two, but each full message is about 120–150 kB. Stripped of the HTML (and still totally readable and functional), that drops to just 10–12 kB. Now multiply that difference by the volume in one year.

I'm testing and evaluating Thunderbird to replace my current email client, which is excellent and designed for power users, but also very buggy, they're slow to fix the bugs, and this is getting on my nerves. That's why I'm looking for an alternative, and so far, Thunderbird is doing an excellent job in ticking off the list of features I need (and passed my message import tests from the old mailer with flying colors), except for this one feature, which can be a dealbreaker.

For enterprise solutions, for our browser extension can we disable the switch button where user can turn-off the "Access your data for all websites"?

This can be informed to the end user and also approved by the IT admins.

But the option to disable at runtime on the fly needs to be disabled.

For a long time I've been using ublock origin to block parts of emails and RSS feeds to make them more readable. This is not so much to block ads as to block parts that make it hard for me to read things. I am partially sighted. Flashing text etc. is very hard for me.

Now the extension loads but the element hiding part doesn't work on either emails or RSS feeds. I click on it but it no longer selects any part of the emails or feeds.

Why is this and what other options are there?

It still works on Firefox.

I have been using Linkman for over 15 years and have a very large collection of bookmarks. Is there anyway to enable it? I'd hate abandon Firebox as I do need this extension please help.

I PAID for "dark reader" I got the activation key but I cannot activate it because the instructions says go to "MORE" and there is NO "MORE"! I hunted all over the settings & extension & themes, but I cannot find anyplace to activate this extension. Did I just waste my money? I have poor vision, I NEED a dark page with white letters. Thanks to being a touch typist, I don't need to see the keybord or page to type but i can't see what I am typing on a dam w hite page! I now cannot click on "Email me when someone answers the threadil"

Do add-on settings get backed up when backing up a profile? I always have to manually install my add-ons when reinstalling a profile. I have one add-on that is a pain to set back up (Identity Chooser), and I have assumed the settings for it are lost.

After the last update the former Mozilla Test Pilot "Snooze Tabs" isn't working for me any more, I tell a tab to snooze and it just stays where it is. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/snoozetabs/

I've tried running with addons disabled and then running with addons active again and the behaviour is the same. It's the same behaviour whether I run from the toolbar or the context menu.

I'm presuming this problem is related to Firefox update mechanics. Any suggestions for how to get this working again please?

Some sites I use will not let me use them unless I stop using add blocking. I have not installed an add blocker so I am thinking it must be one in Firefox. Assuming this is true, how can I discontinue the add blocker at a specific site so I can access/read/use its contents. Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to provide. Ken

Upon opening Thunderbird on a Mac (OS 26.5) the program posted a window requesting a password in order to add a new tool to the application. Unfortunately we have lost the password and the program insists it needs the password to continue. An option is offered to 'Ignore', but pressing this button does not launch Thunderbird, rather it sets up some Mozilla 'thingy' operating in the background (the Thunderbird icon in the dock is active) which can be terminated by Force Quitting the process. The thing is, Thunderbird is now unavailable at this point due to the new tool that could not be added to the application.

I'm trying to get the calendar app working in a new Thunderbird installation. Sites tell me they won't show the page unless I disable AdBlock. I had it many years ago, but uninstalled it years ago. It does not show up in my extensions list. So, what do I do? Thanks, Bob K
