Sorry - I feel as though I'm monopolising this forum at the moment!

In my Menu bar, I have Delete, but, using this, I can only delete emails from the Unified list, not individual accounts. I CAN delete from individual accounts if I select the email, right click and select delete. Seems odd

I have lost my SEND button. I have read several previous responses to this question, but following the solutions offered does not get the purported result. I don't get a Menu Bar after Toolbars. At age 96 I'm too old for this malarkey. Call me on my cell phone if you wish. [edited phone# from community support forum] FWN

IN ENGLISH I think this was possible in previous versions of Thunderbird, but I would like to open all items in the same thread in my Sent and Inbox at the same time. Can you tell me how to do this?

If IMAP folders have been deleted from the server, my understanding of the expected result is that they would no longer be visible on the client. Instead they display in an italic font. Is there a way to make these ghost folders go away? I've tried Unsubscribe from Deleted Folders (Folders display but no tick box to unsubscribe) Deleting cache directories etc all to no avail.

Am I missing something here?

When I try to send my email I keep getting on screen messages from my old BT account continually asking for new passwords which I keep cancelling but it repeats over and ove again. How can I stop this?

When the dust cleared all of my saved messages are gone in all folders and subfolders.

I closed Thuderbird and reopened it. - no saved messages.

I restarted my Macbook Air and opened Thunderbird - no saved messages.

All software was up to date. All other programs seem to be OK.

Now what?

As per title, when I step on a new message not belonging to the first thread, the first thread expands automatically. This does not happen when I step on an already read message. I also tried to mark old messages as unread, and the same thing happens. Apparently, it started doing this today, which sounds weird as thunderbird last updated on the 15th, but I didn't notice this type of behaviour before today.

Hello there, I have troubles signing into my email account on Thunderbird. I have a new laptop, therefore installed the program again, as I used it on my old laptop too. When I wanna sign up my email though, it gives me an error message that reads "Anmeldung auf dem Server fehlgeschlagen. Eventuell sind Konfiguration, Benutzername oder Passwort nicht korrekt". I'm writing in English here, since the Support site won't allow me to use the German site for whatever reason. Finding this contact form was also hard. Anyways, the German text translates roughly into "sign in didn't work, probably configuration, user name or password are incorrect". My password is correct, my e-mail is correct, I double and triple checked. It wants a full name from me. My mail account is from t-online and doesn't have a user name. So I entered my full name. Didn't work. I entered my t-online user ID, didn't work. I used only my first name. Didn't work. I tried out both IMAP and POP3 configurations, both lead to the same error message. According to my t-online account, IMAP is supported. One more thing: Before selecting IMAP or POP3, I received the message that my data was in fact found in the Mozilla ISP data base. Please help. How can I retrieve emails I deleted by selecting wrong parameters in the wrong area. I was in Thunderbird > Acct Settings > Synchronization & Storage and saw "Disk Space" settings. Without thinking I selected --> O ... Delete messages more than [ xxx ] [ ^v ] days old and I changed the number to... [ 90 ] days old. Like an idiot, I for some reason thought I was dealing with messages in "Trash"... go figure. So of course I then noticed in my email Accounts... all messages older than 90 days were removed from all of my folders I had set-up. Many of the folders are now blank, empty of emails that I had moved into the separate folders set-up for different information. I've explored tons of solution responses in "Support" but haven't found a solution to my problem. I really need my older emails back... please help! , Ron.

I run my BTinternet mail account via Thunderbird and would like to run my two Gmail accounts via Thunderbird too. Do I just do that by clicking on the + New Account button, please? I'd hate to lose access to my BT mail by doing that. (Switched to Thunderbird from Outlook a year ago and have never regretted it!

When I compose an email, when I select "bold" the fonts become bold. Same with other selections. however, when I select a color for fonts, when I type a character, the selection and character change to black again. Help?

I have three different email accounts. In my main gmail account, if I double-click on a template, it opens up in a new email with the content of the template already in there (which is how I want it to behave.) In my other two accounts, double-clicking a template just opens a new tab with the contents of the template displayed, as it would if I double-clicked any email in my inbox.

I've been through the settings, comparing them for all three accounts, and I can find no difference anywhere. Right-clicking on the Template folder offers no obvious path to follow, nor does right-clicking on the template itself.

Any ideas why the difference in behavior, and/or suggestions on how to change the not-gmail account so it behaves the same way as the gmail account (double-click opens new pre-filled email) ??

My question is, whether or not the android Thunderbird will interact with the windows Thunderbird I have on my laptop. On my laptop, I have Thunderbird redirect emails into various folders. On my cellphone, I'm currently using Fairemail but it's not aware of those folders on my laptop which is a problem when doing a search on my cell for a specific email, if the email I'm looking for has migrated to those folders on the laptop. I'm trying to add my email accounts to Thunderbird, I manage to get everything set up okay (using "outlook.office365.com" as the SMTP server rather than the auto-selected "mail-smtp@outlook.com" that is autofilled), but when I try to add it and the popup window for Oauth2 opens up, I enter my email and password for my hotmail and outlook accounts, I get an error saying:

You can't sign in here with a personal account. Use your work or school account instead.

What's going on? I never had trouble setting up Oauth2 with my personal accounts before, until I switched to a Windows 11 computer (was using Windows 10 before).

What am I doing wrong? Or is this some kind of messup with Microsoft. I set up my Gmail account (with Oauth2) without any trouble?

I can't find any solutions to this online. Please help. I'm desperate to get access to my email on my new computer.

hi i went to create a folder in one of my emails which i did, but didnt see i spellet it incorrectly so i tried to rename it but it didnt rename instead it created a new folder with the correct spelling, i tries to delete the wrong one and i couldnt delete it, i moved the emails into the folder with the correct name and it moved into both folders which now doubled the size of the emails i had in the folders or thunderbirds database so i tried to delete the emails in the wrong folder and it delete all the emails in both folders but the folder stills the folders still the emails that where there but i cant see them and i cant compact the folders to save space
