About a week ago I started getting these update error messages stating "Update available - Firefox couldn't update automatically. Download the new version". I've also tried clicking "Learn more" on the error message but it's a dead link. Going into the settings for updates I am set to auto update, but when I manually check for updates it says "Failed to check for updates".

The help article on this issue simply tells you to download and manually reinstall Firefox, but I'm having to do this nearly every day. I work in IT myself so I know a "bandaid" workaround when I see one. Is there a solution to this issue?

I did an Upgrade to a version of Firefox that would bypass those "Your Browser Is Not Supported" messages that apparently come from "Cloud-flare." I figured [naievely!] that my addons would "port" to the upgrade. They didn't. Is there any way [e.g., a putative backup file, perhaps] that would allow this?

I have Firefox 124.0.2 running on Windows 11. For some reason, I can't update Firefox. When I manually down load the update file, it appears to run Ok, but the version doesn't change. If I go to settings and click on "Check for Updates" is comes back and says Failed to Check for Updates. How do I fix this?

It has been observed that when a user uses the Firefox browser and tries to download a DDD file, the file format is .pdf instead of .ddd. In the devtools, it was observed that the content-type is text/plain in the response to the request. I changed the content-type to application/octet-stream, but the error still persists

I have Windows 11 and Firefox 124.0.2. Firefox keeps asking to reinstall. I think it is because I keep getting the message that it fails to check for updates. I don't know if I have installed the Microsoft Firefox or the direct Mozilla Firefox downloaded. Maybe that is the problem, but I am not tech savvy. I have used Firefox for many years and like it. Prior to update 125.0.1 corporate intranet users could download PDF files from our Line of Business applications / Webpages. Today after the latest update the PDF files download but are corrupted. The site was added to the trusted webpage without improvement.

I am trying to download your program, before I am allowed to select what I want, your software decides which version I need. It then wont let me install it because I need windows 7 or later. Your software has seen I am running windows 10 and downloads what it thinks is the right version but then wont let me install it. Every time I try to get the the page displaying the various programs , it is covered up with a page asking for money so I cant see it. Very poor. How do I get round this.

I changed back to Thunderbird from Windows Mail. When I did Thunderbird picked up my old emails from 2018 and before. How can I get them out of Inbox and Sent Box ? TU.

Hi,

I created a backup of my Thunderbird profile including various email accounts and calendar. I used the build in export function of Thunderbird to create this backup. Unfortunately the file is slightly bigger than 2GB.

I had a severe copmputer crash now and I wanted to import the backup. It turns out that the zip-achive is damaged. I cannot unpack it with any zip-software and also repairing the archive with winrar did not work.

Is there any chance that I can at least restore some of the information?

We develop a system on D365 platform. On Chrome enviroment, I click the export option, it will download the excel file, I can open it on Excel. However, I click the export option on FireFox, it will download the excel file but I can't open it on Excel. When I use the notepad to open the file to see the content, I found the file become HTML content. I can see the file on web broswer. I don't know why the file content will be change HTML content when I use the Firefox to download it.

Please help....

Hi! On the latest version Mozilla Firefox 125.0.1 when i download .docx files i get the message 'File not downloaded: Potential security risk.' I select Allow download and the file downloaded can't be opened.

I am trying to access Oracle eBS instance but when I login to the page, I get a notification as shown in the image.

After installing the plug-in and restarting the browser, when I try to run the application, I get the same notification.

I'd like to uninstall Beta and install regular. But I have very little space. I can move all my local folders to a temp disk (that would be about 8 GB). How much space is needed to install regular Tbird?
