Hello,

I cannot find a way to get the email addresses from the past sent emails like with Mailspring. These emails were not sent with thunderbird, so there was no automatic collection of those emails.

I saw some extensions to crawl through email adresses, but they aren't supported anymore on the latest versions of thunderbird.

Exporting contacts from yahoo, gmail ... is not an option, because there is almost nothing to export. Also introducing manually each email address isn't an option neither.

I am using Thunderbird 91.1.0 and always update to latest stable. I am on Windows 10.

If someone has a way to do this and without malware risk, it would be very interesting. Thanks.

Brand new windows 10 laptop. Installed Firefox just fine. I downloaded the Thunderbird exe install file OK. When I try to execute it, Firefox freezes. Tried about 10 times. i tried several different exe files. Any suggestions?

Hi. I have been using Mozilla Thunderbird for years on my PC, getting email there from both Comcast and gmail. My PC suddenly died. I have a new all-in-one PC arriving today. How do I install Thunderbird? In particular, I’m wondering if I will lose my contacts and previously received emails? I am confused and concerned because the old PC is not operational for any kind of “migration.” Thank you.

TELUS in canada has Forced me to switch to Gmail. I've spent 10 HOURS trying to get this working beyond frustrated!!

Basically I set up thunderbird with the settings given by telus and the following is occuring.

[Thunderbird]

- Receiving emails thru thunderbird - WORKING - Sending Emails thru thunderbird - NOT WORKING. Shows they are SENT (in thunderbird) but in if I go to Gmail it's not in the SENT folder.

"An error occurred while sending mail: The mail server sent an incorrect greeting: mtlp000083 cmsmtp ESMTP server not available." when sending email thru thunderbird

- I can SEND and COMPOSE/SEND a message and it will receive to thunderbird. Messages composed in gmail will show it's in the SENT folder in gmail.

PLEASE HELP! I've spent over 10 HOURS now doing everything I can. Telus support has not completely stopped helping me as it's not there end.. I have no idea what to do..

I have been reading that many TBird users mistakenly upgraded to 91 via unauthorized 3rd parties contacting them — and that caused many horrific problems. Will that update be possible for version 78.14? If your authorized update will be made available to us using 78.14, when will that be? I have used TBird for many years and was very glad to hear that it is once again being supported. BTW, I did not even know it was being supported again until today when I did a search for that information.

We are running FF ESR 78.14.0. I see that ESR 91.1 is now out. I have seen this article on Firefox ESR release cycle, but not able to find out what the schedule is (ie overlap) for 78 and 91 releases. I am trying to do some upgrade planning. I expect 91.2 will auto upgrade and like to know how soon, otherwise I may need to manual update machines.

It would be nice if this page could be kept up to date for the relevant releases.

Driving the question is a specific issue with QuickBooks Payments not working in 78, which I am assuming has to do with something they consider obsolete security wise.

Hi community, I would appreciate your help. I have been a Thunderbird user and advocate for more than 10 years. A few week ago I purchases a shiny new Dell (Windows 7, 64-bit) similar to my old laptop, and have attempted to set it up completely for my personal work use. Everything was going smoothly until I downloaded and installed the latest version of Thunderbird (91.1.0). While setting up my email accounts (gmail and office365) I am getting a persistant error "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password." For all mail accounts I have manually configured to exactly the same as my previous laptop, as below (for gmail).

Protocol: IMAP Hostname: imap.gmail.com Port: 993 Connection security: SSL/TLS Authentication method: OAuth2 Username: *@gmail.com

Outgoing server Hostname: smtp.gmail.com Port: 465 Connection security: SSL/TLS Authentication method: OAuth2 Username: *@gmail.com

I managed to get through the authentication process (boxes asking for password and giving Thunderbird permission) through gmail (and office365 when using another account) to allow access to my accounts more than a dozen times. And yet the same error code occurs ("Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password.") I have set Thunderbird to accept cookies. I have disable the low security app settings in gmail. I have allowed Thunderbird App in Window Defender security. I have more than triple checked my password and email details, and still nothing. When I click "Advance config" to force account set up nothing changes, then when I click again I get the error message "Incoming server already exists."

I have uninstalled Thunderbird 91, reinstalled an older versiosn, cleared previous profiles, etc etc, all to no avail.

I have attempted to read through this forum to find a solution or a work around, but nothing has helped to this point.

Finally, my older laptop running Thunderbird 78.14.0.(32-bit) on the same network continues to work perfectly, sending and receiving emails via gmail and office365 accounts presumably all with the same settings and authentications. Please tell me what I am missing!!!

I have over 200GB of emails under my profile folder. Been using TB for a long time. Tried to manually upgrade to 91.1.0 from 78.14.0. (I tried uninstall 78.x.x and install 91.x.x fresh as well and tried both 32-bit and 64-bit versions) Windows 10

After the upgrade, and I launch 91.x.x, TB UI does not show up and there are several processes running. I thought it is trying to perform some conversion and left the machine on for 6 hours, but still not showing up. When I uninstall 91.x.x and install 78.x.x back, I am able to see all of mails again (I need to use -- allow-downgrade option)

I also tried to delete all .msf files, but still the same issue with 91.x.x..

Any idea what I need to do to upgrade to 91.x.x?
