So many topics where links are broken and instructions (no longer) apply. Can anyone please help?

Thunderbird 115.12 esr on OSX is told (or should be told) to show all received messages as plain text only, and only send email as plain text.

The font, size, line width/length, and line height of print, folders list, message list, and message text needs changing.

I wish to have everything (print, folders list, message list, and message text) to always be Atkinson Hyperlegible, 12 points, 1.2 line height.

I wish received and sent messages to show on screen with a line length of 100 characters.

I wish printed emails to fill the page width, so no cap at 100 characters.

How do I do this? Thank you for helping a vision impaired !

I like customizing everything, and when i used Outlook, when i rightclick on a email i could chose immediatly to send that mail forward to someone.

but in Thunderbird, i get :

mark as unread - answer - ( here would send forward be nice ) - archive - marks as not wanted - delete.

is it possible to change archive to , send forward :)

not a biggy, just if someone knows how to do it.. that would be nice :)

If my email provider's server was originally POP but my provider's moving to IMAP there's a good chance they'll temporarily support both versions.

And I've discovered that I can set up a 2nd email account in Thunderbird and link it to their IMAP server. Both email accounts will then download the same emails.

But of course my POP account (locally) will have a whole history of emails whereas the new IMAP account won't.

So rather can creating that 2nd email account, is it possible to set up (i.e. convert) the existing account so that it'll access the IMAP server, rather than the old POP one? I tried opening its Server Settings in Thunderbird and simply changing the Server Name and Port but that doesn't work. The Server Type remains as POP and even the Advanced settings don't offer any clue :-(

I get the green light for creating an account... but it goes yellow tag when I click Done. Will you help, please. I am able to log into my account online with the same PW I have to use in setting up the Thunderbird account. Thanks from a donation customer. //... Joe

Hi Everyone! I am missing the delete button on the incoming message that outlook has. I know I can right click delete but I do have to delete a lot of emails . I'd like to add a "delete message" button in the message list the same as Outlook. Is this Possible ?

1. Looking for settings to show/unshow folder counts in the folder list. My TB shows the counts. The example on TB web page does not show counts. 2. I am unable to get Unified Folders to "stick". I have two outgoing SMTP servers. I need one server configured for each mail box. (Email account associated with the SMTP server must match the email account of the sender.)

How do I/Is it possible to configure nine (9) SMTP servers?

Can I stop the popup warning about sending emails to group with all emails in the TO: field. I've been communicating this way with an open email list for decades, and the popup is very annoying.

After last update, when I open the bookmark sidebar (CTRL+B) and change its size (width), and then close Firefox, sidebar's width change to previous size.

Hello. How do I do if I want Firefox to open a new window every time I click on the icon? I tried to insert the command "-new-window URL", which used to work before but it doesn´t anymore. Is there anybody out there who knows something about this?

Despite what one contributor claims (that, "saving custom colours outside a session doesn't happen, as it has never been a windows feature") it certainly used to. And I'm talking MS-Paint in Windows 3.11 !

However, back to today... I keep Thunderbird open and minimized as this feature got broken or lost long ago and I need custom colours to be retained. This latest release (115.9.0 (32-bit)), however, has even lost the ability to keep a colour pallet from one email to the next.

Quite frustrating, as I use different colours for different clients. soem have very specific codes, which I have to replicate each time I am about to send.

I have set the retention policy on my Thunderbird account for 30 days both in the setting for the inbox and the All Mail inbox and I have used the same setting for my account however it only works on the inbox and I have 1745 message in the All Mail folder which intermittently deletes the older messages and then restores them.

Am I doing something wrong?

Hello. Thunderbird displays HTML blockquotes with a border-left style (even if no border-left style is defined in the message). How can I disable this behaviour ?

I would like to see incoming and outgoing HTML messages in an "unaltered" WYSIWYG way (as much as possible) so that I can see what I truly send/receive. (For example, I don't want to see the blue left quote border in outgoing messages when the recipient won't see them and, conversely, I don't want to see blue left quote borders if the sender didn't send them.)

I would be most thankful if anybody knows a solution without userChrome (because I don't want to over-override Thunderbird's style override, but disable it in the first place). Thank you so much!

We have MBOX mails sized by 46,321,930 KB and exported from Gmail account to store and save to see anytime. I understood this MBOX file only can be opened and see the contents through Thunderbird. We have a few questions to use this program properly. See the questions below and answer, please. 1. This file has been imported and visible with the same file name and the quantity of the 30,044 emails sign. However, the contents are not shown up after we click the file through Thunderbird. The contents were actually popped up a few days ago and currently are not visible at all. Please explain this happening and let us know how to manage these contents to check. 2. Even though we make these MBOX files imported in the Thunderbird program, we couldn't make sure that it is possibly open to see since it has disappeared in the program as said in a 1st question. We currently have this MBOX mail in the computer and would like to keep it in an external hard drive to open this file to see in the future. We wonder if it is possible to import anytime and on any device if they download the Thunderbird program and have the same MBOX file.   3. We are not familiar with the MBOX format, and Google didn't let us export the whole quantity of the 64GB emails (there are missing emails in specific beginning periods which are not able to be seen as the same as the emails at the Gmail account). We would like to know if we could trust this MBOX and Thunderbird program with no more missing emails. 

We might need to make a call to discuss more about the program and the file after checking your response.

OK so I was having some issues with firefox where I had to reinstall it and this did in fact resolve the issues I was having.

Problem I have is this though when I reinstalled it I first backed up my chrome folder which had all my custom CSS to move the tabs to the bottom of the header area and when I then reinstalled FF I then copied the folder back into my profile folder using the More Info under the help menu to make sure I was in fact in the right profile folder.

Problem is the code isn't moving the tabs and I seem to remember some issues with this the last time we had to fix FF that something had changed with the Chrome folders and such.

So what do I need to do to get my tabs back on the bottom again as I hate them up top!

I updated from TB 115 to TB 128. My list of folders in the Folder pane is now "longer" and has a scroll bar. It used to all fit. It looks like the spacing between folder entries has increased. Is there any way to decrease it? Nothing obvious in settings. Can it be changed in about:config or a userChrome.css file? I had to do something similar with Firefox's Bookmarks list.

Since today, Firefox is no longer loading the previous settings. Every time I open it up, it opens as it was newly installed.

I already did the following: https://support.mozilla.org/bm/questions/1226076 To no avail.

What changed? I didn't change anything in my computer for this to start.
