Problem displaying unified folders
Hi, Since the last update of thunderbird to version 115.0.1 (64 bits), the display of unified folders is impossible. Has anyone had this same problem?

Any advice returned by Google seems to be obsolete or only worked perhaps in older versions of Firefox. The main idea of using userChrome.css to override the default styles for Reader View does not seem to work. My userChrome.css file does work on other items though (like removing the sidebar width restriction).
Whatever advice I find via Google perhaps cites outdated CSS selectors, but current selectors do not seem to be documented anywhere by Mozilla. Moreover, I cannot find any file on my local drive named aboutReader.css when using find or grep commands in bash, those this file name is alluded to when viewing a page in Reader View and then in turn viewing source on that transformed page.
Moreover, addons that would allow me to change the colors seem to be restricted in Reader View.
It does seem like something has changed in recent Firefox updates but I can't remember when I last saw, for instance, links in dark mode Reader View that were still pink (whereas now they are blue, and impossibly dark to see, especially when you are disabling as much blue light as possible through your operating system). I need a higher contrast color for links in dark mode Reader View so I can actually see them.
I can alternatively use the Tranquility Reader addon and have custom colors, but A) that addon does not work with the Automatic Reader View addon, whereby I can always have various sites appear in some sort of "reader view" whether the native one or Tranquility Reader, and B) hitting refresh when in Reader View will defeat some soft paywalls but this does not work with, e.g., Tranquility Reader, so I still would prefer to be able to custom colors in the native Reader View feature, rather than rely on an addon.
1. Where are the current styles for Reader View even documented? 2. Is overriding them now restricted? 3. Why did the link color change from pink to blue in newer versions of Firefox (this is a terrible accessibility bug)? 4 .Where is the alluded to aboutReader.css stylesheet actually stored on my computer (it doesn't seem to be a file on the filesystem in the Firefox profiles folder, it seems more like it is embedded in the Firefox binary/executable)? 5. Will Firefox settings ever allow us to set colors specifically for Reader View (I don't mean the override settings for all web pages, particularly web pages not being rendered in Reader View ... that setting does not help in Reader View, nor would it be the desired preference for pages not in Reader View)?
Thank you.

Does anyone know how to highlight in the 65.0beta version of Thunderbird?
I can change the color of text and the whole pages background color but I can't highlight specific text only. I searched for an add on and had no luck. All the add on's I could find stated that they are not compatible with the 65.0beta version.
I frequently highlight text in email correspondence. I can do this in Microsoft word and every other email application I have used. I am resorting to saving my email in Thunderbird and opening it up in my old email application to highlight and then send the email. It's really annoying!

the built in eyedropper tool is the simplest and easiest solution to grabbing screen colors without granting file permission to 3rd party solutions for full funcionality. I have power-toys but I hate to see this tool needlessly depreciated. My workflow needs to sample many colors at a time making the menu navigation needless. PLEASE let there be a way to add it to the toolbar, I hope there is. Thanks for your time

How can I turn off the threading of my emails? Its driving me crazy as when an email comes in after a short time it disappears into the threads and then I have to open each thread to find out who sent the email. I'm wondering why FF doesn't have something built into the browser that will resize text when you zoom in. Right now, if I zoom in on text, it DOES get larger, but then it also goes outside the edges of the browser so that I have to constantly scroll left and right to read the article I did come across an add on, but come on. This is something basic that should be build into the browser:

despite the solutions found in this help, whatsapp web still won't let you load with Firefox (the QR-CODE doesn't come out)

Hello, in past versions of Firefox, I was able to follow the steps on this page to set a custom HTML file on my PC as my home page for new tabs: https://peterries.net/blog/firefox-ubuntu-local-file/
I have Firefox 107.0.1 now and it's not happening. When I open the browser from scratch, I see my custom home page file. But when I open a new tab, I just see a blank screen. If I then click the Home icon on the toolbar, I do see my custom HTML page, but I don't want to have to click that button for each new tab.
Right now, in my settings, I have the URL to the page set as the custom URL for the HTML fiile, like this:
file:///home/peter/Documents/homepage/peter-home-homepage.html
That works. And I also have followed the steps on that blog post to customize my /usr/lib/firefox/autoconfig.cfg and my ../firefox/defalults/pref/autoconfig.js files. That's no longer working.
Did something in a recent version change? Is this no longer supported? Thanks for any ideas!

I am using Firefox 126.0 under Windows 10.
I am trying to add search engines to the search toolbar. (Just to be clear, this is the search box that appears below the address bar, not the address bar itself.)
I followed the instructions here. That worked fine for Wikipedia, Google Maps and YouTube. Then I tried to add Amazon UK. The Amazon icon is now present in the search box, but when I select it, I see this message:
Firefox could not download the search plugin from: https://d2lo25i6d3q8zm.cloudfront.net/browser-plugins/AmazonSearchSuggestionsOSD.Firefox.xml
I have no idea what this means or what to do about it.
(I also tried adding it from Settings > Search > Search Shortcuts, but Amazon does not appear on that list of search engines [unlike on my other computer]. I clicked "Find more search engines", but that brought up a list of 5,192 extensions, most of which seemed not be related to searching.)
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
Mike

I'm using the OneTab add-on, Enabled. The icon no longer shows on the Toolbar, though it is on the Menu bar next to Firefox View.
I ran Remove and then Added it again, hoping the Toolbar Icon would reappear = no go, And I lost all URLs already saved, stupid me. To be clear, clicking the Icon on the Toolbar saves all open tabs.
Is there a fix via Preferences? Thanks. gw

Hi All,
For some reason my tab icons look a little low, and I would like them more vertically centered.
I've been trying to move these icons around using some older code that doesn't seem to work anymore.
The code below no longer has any effect.
Does anyone know how to move the tab icons up 1 pixel?
Thanks!
/* padding doesn't move them */
.tab-throbber, .tab-icon-image { padding-bottom: 4px !important; }
/* margin doesn't move them */
.tab-throbber, .tab-icon-image { margin-bottom: -2px !important; }
/* can't even turn the icons off LOL */
.tab-icon-image { display:none !important; }

For my work email I HAVE to use Outlook 2016 - boo, but I don't have a choice.
For my personal email I use Thunderbird (now 60.4.0). My work Outlook allows me to make new inbound messages that have not been read yet appear in BOLD and in a different colour.
I've researched trying to accomplish this in ThunderBird, and thought I could do it with Filtering. Filtering allows me to change the colour of a new message to RED in my inbox with by applying a "tag of 1" on an un-read message. The snag is that I cannot un-do the filtering once the message is read. If it would allow me to create a filter that would apply a tag of ZERO (remove all tags) when a message is read it would be dandy - but only tag options 1-5 appear, no ZERO.
I also read that by creating a "chrome" folder in the profile folder, and a file called userChrome.css would do the trick for un-read messages until they are read. I tried copying/pasting numerous different configurations in notepad and saving as userChrome.css, but it doesn't change a single thing.
I've spent several hours reading on how to do this, but most posts I find are quite dated, and I cannot find anything around the userChrome.css file for Thunderbird 60.4
Any ideas would be most appreciated.
Regards,
TBguy :)

Cox.com has decided to no longer have their own email server and switched their accounts to yahoo. I can read my email directly on Yahoo, but can't get their imap to work. I changed the imap and smtp settings to yahoo. Also, the email login has changed and I changed that in Thunderbird. With Cox, the login was just "username" and now it is "username@cox.net". When I made these changes in the account settings, my email account has disappeared from the inbox, but it is still in account settings. I am using a unified inbox with several accounts.
Cox will not help me with this, and I have been on hold with yahoo for an hour with no response. I have been messing with this for two days so I hope you can help me.

Is there any way for the default google search to use google.co.uk rather than google.com Thanks?

I've installed TBSync with Thunderbird and my O365 calendar is now syncing.
However, my email subfolders are not fully updating.
I have a # of subfolders I've created in O365 but they aren't appearing in TBSync in order to choose them to sync in Thunderbird. I am getting some (what I would call 'standard') subfolders in TBSync to choose such as Contact, Calendar, Tasks, and some other email accounts I have 'sync'd' into O365, but none of the actual email subfolders for the O365 account itself (i.e. 2024 Financials).
In Thunderbird, the only folders I see to sync (Synchronization & Storage > Advanced)are: Inbox, Draft, Sent, and Trash
What am I doing wrong or missing?
