Firefox won't open and only gives me the crash reporting window. I'm on a mac with mojave (this started about a week after that was installed). I have tried starting in safe mode, creating a new profile, and multiple fresh downloads and installs. Nothing works. This has been going on for a few weeks.

The last crash report only says "1543632621". Previous crash reports are similarly empty with only a number.

Hi, I have a Mac 10.11.6 and for whatever reason I cannot get Firefox to open. I received a message at the bottom of my browser during the last use saying something to the effect of click restore/restart to improve speed. I did this and now Firefox will not open. I get a Mozilla crash reporter screen even when I try launching it in safe mode. I tried the refresh option (by holding shift + option on startup) and still get the crash report screen. I reinstalled it multiple times, tried deleting it and doing a clean install, deleted my profile and created a new one, and even deleted my anti virus program. Nothing seems to be working and I am very eager to get my preferred browser working again.

Thanks very much for your insight!

I can't re-install Firefox after multiple tries! I've used Firefox for many years. I updated my iMac to the newest OS (version 10.13.6) November 8. Soon after that update, when I opened Firefox a box popped up saying something like "firefox is slow to open, please refresh (or update?) to fix this problem". When I did that, Firefox crashed and Mozilla Crash Reporter opened. I clicked quit Firefox several times, the I clicked the box to tell Mozilla, I did this alot, no luck. Firefox won't open. So I uninstalled it according to your instructions on support. I tried to reinstall, still only getting the Crash Reporter. Have tried all the trouble shooting suggestions, but no luck. Can never get the app to open. I can get the "safe mode" box, but it won't open with the safe mode button or the refresh. Have run disc repair on my mac. Have fun the Malware app you suggested. Still no luck. I can't find a Firefox folder in my library. In application support did find something called "CrashReporter" nothing in there for Firefox. There is a folder in there called Mozilla, but it has folders in it titled "extensions". Not sure what to do or make of that. I tried to attach a screen shot of the details from one of my crash reports. No luck. I'll copy to the end of this note. Sorry it's so long. Would really like to work with Firefox again. After I updated an add-on (Flash) that was suggested by Firefox, I have not been able to start Firefox. It crashes on startup every time. I have gone through each of the suggestions on how to fix it but none have worked. I have even tried to open Firefox in safe mode but it still crashes on launch. I have also tried to go through the refresh process and it still crashes. Finally, I have even deleted the application and re-downloaded it. It seems to install fine, but still crashes when launched.

I would appreciate any other suggestions. Thanks.

Submitted crash report ID is Crash ID: bp-a6357aca-486d-40f7-a97d-b1c160181026

Crash originally occurred while auto update was being applied. Tried uninstall and reinstall with no luck. Tried new profile with no luck. With or without safe mode, page starts to load and closes with crash report. Does not appear to be a hardware problem. Not an antivirus issue as I only use MSE. Thanks for any help.
