I had two Thunderbird apps on my computer. When I realized that one of them was for organizations, which I don't belong to, I deleted it. But both of the apps were deleted. I then reinstalled Thunderbird, but when I went to send an email, my entire address book was blank. How do I retrieve it and reinstall it ? Thank you.

I use both Gmail and Thunderbird. I can see both in Thunderbird on my PC. I would like to sync my TB address book with Google contacts. I searched a good while on-line and find information about adding a CardDAV Address book. However the instructions mention steps that simply are not available on Thunderbird on my PC. I have the latest version of TB (140.7.1esr (64-bit)). The first step says to "open the Address book, select File>New> CardDAV address book". That is not a choice. Anything in Mozilla support is several years old.

So is this possible or not?

My contacts address book is provided by Apple iCloud, of which I have added contacts with avatars for every contact I've received legitimate emails from. However, Thunderbird fails to render these avatars. The result looks like the attachment. Perhaps Apple is using HEIC for them?

I am trying to and failing to get my mail lists into Thunderbird for Android. I have tried lots of searches but can get nothing related to this.

I have imported by settings into Thunderbird for Android but the mail lists do not come across.

I have imported by email addresses into the Contacts app. This was the only way I could find to do this - Thunderbird for Android does not have the facility to import email addresses. Is that right? However, the mail lists do not get exported or imported.

I have manually recreated the email lists in the contacts app. However, if I use Thunderbird for Android and ask to use an address from the Contacts, these are still not showing.

Is there ANY way I can get my mail lists (which I use a lot!) into Thunderbird for Android.

Sorry if there is an obvious answer to this and I have missed and thanks in advance.

Updated Thunderbird and lost all my local folders and address lists. I imported CSV addresses to new version and can view them but when I go to use them in an email they do not show up. How do I access them?

I am still using version 60.80, and want to back-up all my contacts. There is no export button in tools, so how do I back them up?

Any advice appreciated. (Not too technical as I am 79)

I recently re-installed Win 11 with the help of a Dell tool. During the re-install all of my data files were kept, but not the applications. I've re-installed Thunderbird and it works fine. However, I've noticed that my address book is empty. I've found abook.sqlite through the Profile Folder, so I know the file exists, but how do I connect it to the Address Book link in Tools? I just got Thunderbird and I am slowly getting the hang of it, thanks to members of this support group. Thank you. I cannot find my email addresses for my friends and businesses. I'll be dead in the water if I can't salvage this.

I looked at the helps and found the answer to my issue BUT it didn't work.

The issue - I want to copy information from one address book to another book. The help told me to use CTRL then click and drag to copy. I tried but it didn't work. When I click on an address to move or copy it, as soon as I move the cursor a red circle with a diagonal line through it shows and it doesn't move it to the new address book. I am using windows 11 and Tbird 140.7.1. I've done this in the past - years ago - but now I can't figure out how to do it. Earlier in this session I was able to move an address by doing click and drag but I can't even do that now. I also rebooted my computer and tried again with the same results. I'm sure it's OPERATOR ERROR but I don't know what I did or what to do now.

I don't want to manually copy each entry. What do I do?

Thank you for all that you do with this program and all of MOZILLA! I've been using it for years and have only this issue with Tbird and some site don't work well or at all with FIREFOX so I go to Chrome for that specific

I have a relatively fresh install of Thunderbird and am unable to save email addresses to my address books. When I click "Add to Address Book," I'm receiving the following error message:

The ability to select "Done" for New Contacts is totally off-screen on the right when using part-screen (screenshot2 below). When in full screen only a part of the box is available to complete and entry (screenshot1 below).

I've tried adjusting font size and other stuff in Windows 10, but nothing changed the way the Thunderbird looks in this regard.

I created a Mailing List within an Address Book a year ago. I now need to add some new contacts to the Mailing List . I added the new contacts but could only add them to the Address Book. I now need to copy them from the Address Book to the Mailing List, but can't see how to do so , there seems to be no way to view the two lists side-by-side.

Dear Thunderbird team, I am using Thunderbird and Mozilla more than 25 years. It has never happened that after downloading a new version of Thunderbird my address book had disappeared. I will be most grateful if you assist me to restore it the *previous glory*.

Hello everyone, does anyone know if it's possible to extract in one or few steps only just the email addresses from all emails copied from external mailbox using IMAP to Thunderbird local folder, of course assuming there is no any Thunderbird address books -> they aren't in any Thunderbird address books. To create a single VCF or CSV file with all this e-mail addresses and then simply import this file with all them addresses to another mailbox etc.
