I have firefox on a Windows 10 laptop plus two android phones and two android tablets. The Bookmarks on the laptop, both tablets and one phone are shown in alphabetic order. The Bookmarks on one phone are in random order. How can I make these Bookmarks list in alphabetic order? I have read that I cannot simply reorder the bookmarks, so I probably need to delete the bookmarks, ON THIS PHONE ONLY and definitely not on my other devices. Then would "Sync” import the Bookmarks from "the cloud"? Or would "Sync" export the now-empty "Bookmarks" folder from this phone to the cloud?

I opened the Bookmark Manager because I wanted to change some tags. After I made the changes, and deleted the websites from the old tags, I wasn't able to delete them. In r/mozilla it was suggested that I Verify Integrity. Is there something I'm supposed to do after I run that? I was still unable to delete tags. Fix the nightmare you caused. You have destroyed my 72nd Birthday celebration and made me too disgusted to even go online any more. I have devolved from a strong, trusting relationship to downright HATE! TRUST BETRAYED IS TRUST DESTROYED!

Initially the bookmarks on Android started appearing in apparently random order after every quit/restart. I signed out of Laptop and Android, then signed in again and set up syncing again on both, but now the bookmarks on my Laptop no longer appear on Android at all, even after syncing.

I've searched but haven't found an answer that leaves me comfortable with how to address my question(s). Hoping someone here can help. While trying to update Firefox FROM version 115.0.3 TO version 115.12.0esr I ran into some problems that prevented me from using/adding bookmarks. While I believe I've solved the problems, I found the following info worth questioning.

By selecting Firefox's "Application Menu->Help->More Troubleshooting Information->Profile Folder->Open Folder" I find that I have:

• 10,000 AlternativeServices files as text documents
• 312 'serviceworker' files as text documents, and
• 3,134 'SiteSecurityState' files as text documents.

I'm wondering if I need them? Doubt that I do, but 'fresh eyes' seldom hurt. Can I delete them all without harm or data loss?

This is on a Gateway P-7811FX laptop, (yes, a bit old, but it was a workhorse in its day and still works well), with IntelCore2 Duo CPU @ 2.26 GHz 2.27GHz running Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit) with 8 GB of memory

I arrange my bookmarks in a folder structure by type, making it relatively simple to find the bookmark I need. This is normally in bookmarks/desktop bookmarks. But Firefox on my android 14 tablet and phone, no longer has the desktop bookmarks option. I am signed in to my account, and I have synced my account across all my devices. How do I get the desktop bookmarks option back again?

I have been writing for the past couple of days to ask about the status of Firefox Shortcuts and have not received any responses from the Community or from Mozilla themselves.

I just read through 3 years of comments and questions regarding the problems with Firefox Shortcuts on the Main Page when opening Firefox itself. NOTHING has been done in 3 years regarding these problems, even though 99% of Mozilla / Firefox users want the features that EVERY OTHER MAJOR BROWSER already has.

Firefox automatically creates Shortcuts that I did not ask for, and that I do not need. Especially when the Shortcut is a duplicate of ones I already have.

The worst part is, now that there are duplicate icons as Shortcuts, they cannot be Dismissed. No matter how many times I select "Dismiss" from the 3 dot menu, the icons DO NOT go away. So, I have permanent Shortcut icons that I do not need staring me in the face EVERY TIME I'm using my computer.

Thanks, Mozilla, way to show how much you appreciate your users. Especially with last years campaign to get users thinking Mozilla actually cares that they are going after unscrupulous companies stealing our data to use with AI development.

I've got a site that shows up in my addressbar that is no longer online. I use the other shortcuts regularly, so I'd prefer not to switch them off. Is it possible to delete the non-working shortcut?

You often have different needs on your phone to your tablet or desk top or work computer. While you probably want to sync all your passwords across devices. you might prefer different bookmarks on your toolbar for work versus home versus phone.

It would be great to be able to sort bookmark groups separately between devices.

So my work bookmark toolbar has 8 bookmarks my home desktop bookmark toolbar has a different 13 bookmarks my ipad has 9 bookmarks similar to my home desktop my phone has 5 bookmarks i NEED quick easy access to on-the-go.

Personally i have a different firefox accounts for work and home. But I don't really want ANOTHER firefox account for my phone, since i want all those passwords always synced across all my devices.
