Hello everyone, I’m a fan of Firefox due to its efficient handling of webpage caching and memory management. However, I often find myself switching back to the Chromium-based Edge browser due to one specific feature in its DevTools. In Edge, when I resize the viewport, it stops at a certain limit. If I want to resize it further, I can zoom out and then continue resizing. I find this feature very useful. Is there a way to have similar functionality in Firefox? I’m currently using the Firefox Developer Edition.

I am using Ubuntu 23.10.1 with KDE Plasma desktop environment. Since recently I've been experiencing the following problem with Firfox document viewer: after a period of inactivity, PDFs become unreadable, and seem to cumulate everything that was displayed on screen (see screenshot). Ctrl + F5 does not help, and neither does closing the window and opening a new one with a link to the file. KDE Document Viewer displays the same file correctly.

I'm using FF on Fedora 39.

However Firefox does not remember any file associations. The MimeTypes.rdf file in the profile is missing and is also not created on restarting the browser.

In the options I've now set the configuration to "Ask whether to open or save files". Now I see a popup when clicking on a file however there is no checkbox with "remember this file associations" (or something similiar).

When will import and export be a full part of FF ???? I have bookmarks that I want to move from FF to FF Beta and can't. WHY isn't there aa import export ????? WHEN will will it be a part of the product??? I've seen so many requests for this here and on GitHub, yet no resolution. WHY?

For the last several months, I have been unable to get audio input from any device working on Firefox. The mic inputs work in all other apps and browsers, are appropriately permissioned on Windows 11, and appear in the Firefox permission windows. No actual audio is received by the website.

I have installed Firefox clean, rebooted countless times, tried the Beta and Dev channel releases, and disabled all extensions, to no avail. I have ensured that I am on the latest releases, have tried various devices, run virus scans. I have included images of the Windows sound settings showing working Mic levels, Firefox showing the device in permissions, etc.

My sound drivers are up to date, and mics work in all other browsers and apps. This is limited exclusively to Firefox.

Add the Play background option to videos and audio, pre-installed in settings, as it is in the Brave browser. The current Background Video Playback add-on does not fully play all video and audio background playback features, it does not fully work. Hello, I use Firefox as my only browser and I use the shortcuts because they're really helpful. But every time that I lunch Firefox all the pages in the shortcuts "call" their websites, I see it from pihole and all the requests are made every first lunch of Firefox. Probably it's something related to the cache and to give better perfomances in case I wanna select one of those shortcuts, but I don't want that all of them make a "call" to their respective websites. I think it's something related to privacy and freedom about what I want to do with mt browser. Is there an option to block those connections? In case there isn't an option is possible to implement it? Thank you so much

I need to run speech recognition in Firefox (OS solutions are not suitable in my case), but I can't get it to work. I've tried following these instructions in Nightly, Dev and regular version, but they all end with a network error. I also asked my friends to check and they had the same thing happen. Do I need to follow the steps to run offline or is the problem much deeper?

With a recent update of Firefox Developer Edition to version 117.0b9 i keep getting extremely annoying popups on all sites, asking me if I want to translate stuff.

I don't want to store unnecessary settings in my browser, related to exceptions to websites/languages that I want vs. does not want to translate.

I want to completely disable translations, globally. Forever. Two questions:

- Why there is no "disable translations globally" checkbox in the newly added popup? - Is there an about:config hack to do disable translations globally, for all languages, for all websites, and forever?

I use Firefox stable on both my Mac and my Win 11 PC. On the mac i use the developer edition. The issue I have started about 2-3 weeks ago. Most of the time, playing youtube 4k videos just either freezes and doesn't buffer, or just skips and reloads. It is not a network issue. I've tried playing back the same video with ARC on OSX (which is based on chromium) and with Chome on windows. It works flawlessly so it's not a network issue. I've tried disabling adblocker, all the extensions, nothing. It's either Youtube messing with non google products again or a problem with Firefox itself. I even have Youtube premium and this stuff still happens without adblockers.

Any help would be appreciated.

Bought a new windows 11 ASUS laptop. Trying to install an HTML bookmark file from older windows 10 ASUS laptop. When I execute the HTML file import on my new ASUS windows 11 laptop, nothing happens. Even found and removed the "block protection" in the HTML file.

Why am I unable to import a firefox bookmark HTML file?

When the "Google Search Fixer" addon is installed and the "Pull to refresh" gesture is enabled, I am not able to freely scroll up on the search results page. After scrolling animation finishes, if I try to scroll up, the browser thinks that I want to refresh the page, therefore the input is sank.

Firefox seems to crash repeatedly and generates no crash reports, just freezes up my pc. It works in troubleshooting mode but even after refreshing, the problem persists. Surprisingly, it will consistently crash if I go to `about:support` (except in troubleshooting mode). Any help would be appreciated!

Using FF for Android on a pixel 6 on every website when I try to scroll down nothing moves and if I keep sliding down the page refreshes. It thinks I'm at the top. Every single time. I have to scroll down a couple millimeters then it will go up. Scroll down is not an issue. I've seen other users with this issue and I've seen bug reports addressing it so I know it's a real thing.

I just updated to the latest version of FIREFOX 114.0 on Ubuntu 22.04. However, whenever a website looks for the version it is reported as 86. I am not using the SNAP version and it does not show up in SNAP LIST. Several websites have rejected access because of an outdated browser. Is this a bug or a setting that needs fixing?
