Windows10 simply multiplies the numbers of active Mozilla Firefox Apps which are open. Every day for about two weeks I've been having to delete hundreds of Firefox Apps open in the Task Manager. So many open in a very short time it locks up the Win10 system. I've attached a pic

Win10 will no longer let me download & transmit a .jpg file, sorry

Watching a CNN video on YouTube Firefox suddenly freezes and does not accept any further actions. Even shutting down it will block the process and I need to use the "Shut down anyway" function. Similarly, Thunderbird will lock up in the middle of writing a response, but here it is just the window and I lose what I typed, but I can go back and push "reply" again and retype the answer. Whether these are down to similar issues I don't know. Obviously, this sounds like a graphics driver, so I made sure all updates are installed and there is no further update available for both, Firefox and Thunderbird as well as the system drivers. I’m currently facing a very frustrating issue with Firefox. I have been using Firefox for many years, and it is my favorite and most comfortable web browser for my day-to-day work. I rely on it heavily as all my bookmarks and other important details are saved there.

However, over the past few weeks, Firefox has been crashing more than 10 times a day. I have already tried all the troubleshooting steps available in the forums and through AI support, but none of them have resolved the issue. I also tried installing and using the Firefox Beta version, but the problem still persists.

In our environment, other users and devices are not experiencing this issue, so it does not appear to be related to internal firewall or antivirus restrictions.

Could you please help me troubleshoot this issue? I am attaching the error screen that appears after the crash along with the crash report for you

Hello! The other day everything worked as usual, and I shut down the computer for the night. The next morning, Thunderbird immediately crashed/shut down when starting each of the 2 profiles I always use. The 3rd profile, which is the default-release running a different email, still seems to work normally. Thunderbird 115.10.1

I have tried Windows (10) safe mode, as well as thunderbird Troubleshoot mode and working offline, but the issue continued to occur.

I'm at a loss now as to what could cause 2 profiles to suddenly cause it to crash. By the way, one profile is for a gmail account and the other one is for an Outlook account, so they don't seem to be related.

In case it helps, there were 2 Microsoft Visual C++ programs installed or updated, and updates to Microsoft 365 and Google Drive just before the problem started. These were all auto updates in the background.

Any help from the Community would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

My Firefox tabs crash repeatedly even when I tried opening them in Troubleshoot mode. When I play videos in the browser, there's this stuttering, buzzing noise while the sound lags, too. Usually it's tabs playing YouTube videos that crash, but I've also had tabs crash when I try to open completely unrelated websites. I've disabled hardware acceleration, repeatedly cleared my cache, and even tweaked some of my GPU throttling settings, but nothing seems to help.

This has started a few days ago. I'm running Firefox Desktop on Windows 11. Browsing is perfectly normal, until I try to watch a video in full screen mode. It plays normally for a few seconds and then my whole system freezes, with no response to any action except for hard reset. This has never happened to me before, and all other browsers I try do not demonstrate the same problem. Is there any solution other than changing browser permanently?
