Firefox, McAfee Web Advisor and BT Yahoo Email....Not Happy Together?

I use Firefox as my main browser on my Windows 10 Laptop. It has McAfee Web Advisor installed.

About a week ago, I discovered that I could no longer login to my BT Yahoo Email Account using Firefox while McAfee Web Advisor was enabled. They'd worked perfectly together until then.

Now, if I'm using Firefox, I have to disable McAfee Web Advisor when I want to look at my Emails.

BUT if I use one of the other browsers I have installed, I don't have to do this. My other three browsers, BT Yahoo Email and McAfee Web Advisor continue to work perfectly together.

Has anyone come across this problem and if so, is there a fix you could suggest, please?

As the Title suggests.

My Add-Ons are all removed from my Toolbar and stop functioning whenever I set my History settings to "Never Remember History."

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the Add-On's, refreshing Firefox, uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox. But none of this works.

I want to be able to use my Add-On's AND have Firefox not remember my history. It used to work before, but now it just won't let me.

Any suggestions?

We work with thunderbird on a corporate network. Very often letters between thunderbird users come with broken attachments (pdf, jpeg). Letters can also come completely empty and when you click on a letter it shows it as read, and then it again appears in bold as if it weren’t read. And when forwarded to another user, the message may open normally. Repairing the folder and deleting the entire cache, with authorization again, It didn’t help. We have the latest version of the program. How can I solve these problems?

Javascript

Hi. I use a Samsung Tab s5e. Several sites refuse to open unless I solve a captcha. The reason seems to be that that JavaScript is off. What should I do? Thanks!

Hi folks.

I need to transfer emails in Outlook Express on an old computer to Thunderbird on my current computer. I want to be able to access the old OE mail in my current Thunderbird account. I do NOT want to REPLACE the mail currently in my Thunderbird account with the old Outlook Express mail.

Would be appreciative of instructions on how to complete this mail migration task without risking losing (ie, replacing) my current mail in the process. Can anyone help, please?

Cheers! Ross

Greetings everyone,

I was using Firefox for iOS for my iPad earlier and I accidentally clicked on a link on a website that asked me if it was okay for me to accept cookies. I was feeling so fatigued that I clicked "yes" without thinking. I'm 99% sure it was a question about cookies on a website.

How can I undo this?

I'm just worried that the website now has access to my iPad and can extract personal information from my iPad.

Thank you for any advice!

Hi,

This may be a bug (or perhaps two bugs).

I have a brand new iPad pro on which I installed Firefox. When I want to save a web page to iBooks it says "creating pdf", but when I then open iBooks no file has appeared. (When I do the same in Safari, it also says "creating pdf", but then it switches to iBooks, showing the created document.)

Further, when I view a PDF file on a page that requires me to log in, attempting to copy the PDF file to iBooks does create a file in iBooks, but iBooks says it can't read it. If I instead select a link to a PDF file and choose "download", then go to the downloaded files in Firefox's library and tap the file, Firefox itself cannot read it (it just displays a blank page). Note that this problem only seems to exist on pages where I have to log in.

In an attempt to find out what might be wrong in the second case, I opened a PDF file in Firefox, chose "share with Mail", sent it to myself, and had a look at it on my computer with BBEdit. It turned out that the contents of the file is actually html. It seems to be the html code of the login page. I get the same result when I look into one of the downloaded PDF files that Firefox has stored on the iPad.

Thankful for any help, because I'd rather avoid having to switch to Safari, Frank

Hi, I'm surprised there is no feature to lock thunderbird with a password so a theft or someone who is walking by to my unlocked computer, can just go on and read my e-mails.

Since the last update, none of the available add-ons are compatible any longer.

This is a bit frustrating.

Thanks for improving thunderbird!
