Bonjour Depuis environ 3 jours je ne reçois plus sur ma boite THUNFERBIRD les mails de la boite FREE/ZIMBRA et les envois ne fonctionnent pas toujours.(adresse free) Par contre je reçois et peux envoyer les mails depuis l'adresse WANADOO depuis la boite THUNDERBIRD. Thunderbird 78.4.0 updated but the view has changed making it difficult for some Seniors particularly those with visibility issue. The new view has little contrast.

Is there a way to revert the view back to the classic view setup with things like yellow file folder which are in contrast to white background and easy to see for those with visibility issues?

For some unknown reason I cannot start Thunderbird anymore. The error is:

Because it won't even start I don't know ehere to start and I am even more mystified that there seems to be a path to chrome which I have not installed as far as I know. I did install lightning a year ago and this worked nicely until know it seems.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Every time I shut down my computer I have to reset all my preferences and dowload adblock plus. The installer is still on my desktop and I can't remove it. I've put it in the apps file. This never happened before and I've been using firefox for at least 10 years. This just started happening with the new version of firefox. Please help as it's driving me crazy!

New Thunderbird version 78.4 will not connect to my isp - HughesNet - and will not download or send new email. How do I fix this? Older version 68 worked just fine. I'm using Windows 7. At the suggestion of another article I checked the security settings on TB - they seem to be just fine. My address book is intact, and all the older emails downloaded also. Just can't get the new ones.

With new release of Thunderbird installed automatically yesterday, I can no longer send or receive mail in my Thunderbird client on my desktop (Windows 10) which pulls mail from rcn.com host domain. Consulted ton of technical support - all said it was an error or bug in new release Thunderbird that either needs a patch or instructions in how to fix email client. as I can receive that email on my Iphone or in Windows mail and I can see it on the RCN webmail server Anyone have that answer?

Hi! New user here. My problem is this: as of Oct. 30, 2020 I can no longer manually Forward e-mails from my current email provider to my Gmail address, via Thunderbird on my PC. When Forwarding manually, I get an Error message saying "The other party (=Gmail? Thunderbird?) uses a version of security protocol not supported by (unknown party, maybe Thunderbird, my current e-mail provider or Gmail). Configuration related to Mailout function at my current e-mail provider must be corrected". Manually chosen Forward command has worked perfectly before. Manually Forwarding an e-mail as Attachment does not work either. My current e-mail provider advises me that this problem might be related to changes to Thunderbird announced on Oct. 29 or 30. I just saw that info when I logged in to my Thunderbird today. Would be grateful for any help on the subject. Please note: 1/ Automatic Forwarding from my current email provider to Gmail works fine. 2/ When I Right-Click on an email in the Inbox for my current email provider, I can choose the Move To function and send the specific email from my current email provider to my Gmail through Thunderbird. This works fine. At the same time, a copy of my Autoresponse message about changing my e-mail address is sent from my current email provider to my Gmail address. 3/ Sending an e-mail from my webmail page, at my current email provider website, to the relevant Inbox in my Thunderbird works fine. Thanks in advance for any info!

just encountered this issue this evening.

running firefox daylight 82.1.1 (latest available on google play) on a samsung S8 / android 9 (official carrier OTA release Sep 2020).

tried to download an APK. I get the firefox download notification, etc, but it doesn't complete. It eventually times out.

Tested over home wifi and 4G

Also tested with a random PDF download - replicated issue.

note i'm not the only user reporting this:

I've found a fix of sorts. Force stop then moving back to firefox allows download to complete.

problem also exists in 82.1.0

Problem doesn't exist in 81.1.5 i.e. rolling back to 81.1.5 allows downloads to behave normally.

This is frustrating. I've just wasted probably an hour doing testing and documenting the problem.

Is this a known issue?

Is there a bug ticket or a resolution time?

Hi there - I upgraded today to 78.4 (from 68) in order to allow multi factor authentication (and stay compatible w/ my work Office365 account). Everything seems to have gone fine except that when I open my address book, the only address books included are my de_junk_list and my LDAP. My personal Address Book (decades of addresses) is empty. I'd like to restore those missing addresses to my address book, but am unsure how to do so. Thank you for any advice!

Folks help! How do I turn off or modify this brand new High Contrast bold font in Thunderbird 78.4 that just automatically updated? Especially the left preview nav window but basically all of it? The font and contrast and boldness hurt my eyes so bad I can't look at Thunderbird for very long and am getting nauseous. Seriously. Never had software do this to me before on my Mac. Have tried choosing different 'themes' under preferences but each one is as annoying as the next. Have tried changing the font and the font size but that isn't getting rid of the new boldness or the contrast. Even tried restarting THunderbird twice (but no I haven't tried re-booting my MacBookPro, no) Help!

Have been a Thunderbird user and donor for prob 15 yrs now, and this is the most extreme makeover of the UI yet, seems like an awfullot of unneeded changes shoved on us.  Why couldn't these things be options and features that are manually turned on and selected at each upgrade by the user instead of a wholesale change across the platform?
