So my browser is *not* up to date, and I will *not* be updating it, because every time I do that, it screws up on me. The last time I updated it, I could no longer restrict the number of instances it runs, and it started hogging system resources to the point that I could no longer even watch a streaming video. Updating firefox again is out of the question.
That being said, I'm trying to load a site and it says secure connection failed and won't let me load it.
How do I bypass this and load the site anyway?

EU has the pesky "Cookie Law". In order to get rid of the banner asking for permission to install cookies, permission to install must be granted. Will Firefox continue to block (chosen) cookies even after I formally give a website permission to install cookies and so forth? If the answer is 'yes', I will have to manually deselect the most invasive cookies. This would be a major nuisance. I imagine that the answer is 'no' - because, why would Firefox allow cookies based on a request from a website? Meanwhile, I can't find an answer. Thanks!

I also need to change the default font to be Arial. But it doesn't work for sites like Google and Facebook.. their font type do not change. Is there a way to force my preferred font please?

Recently, there was a very simple one line command bar that one could get to from within firefox by pressing Shift+F2. It allowed one to take screenshots and restart the browser. But i notice it is no longer there in Firefox 70.0, is this an oversight. Some articles refer to it as GCLI.

The issue arises with the following steps
find a cell with text (not formula) place the cursor in the edit line (formula bar) backspace to remove all of the text type in new text hit enter
A new line, char(10) is inserted after the text. Confirmed with a find function.
It did this with Firefox but not Chrome. Reported in Google sheets forum title "Why are line breaks being added to cells randomly" Can't see how to add link here.

When downloading a file, the file download window pops up. The option "Save this file" is automatically selected, which is good. But the OK button is disabled until I hover over it, or for several seconds or something? Sometimes it stays disabled, and sometimes it enabled itself quite quickly. It seems kind of random.
Bottomline is, I want that OK button to be ALWAYS enabled. I want to be able to hit the enter key as soon as the download window pops up. I don't want my browser to make me wait arbitrarily. That's annoying.
I would also like to know why the "Do this from now on" checkbox is disabled. Why can't I make downloads always start right away without that (to me, silly) download window popping up? That's what that checkbox is for, is it not?
I would suggest that disabling a UI control is always bad if it's not absolutely completely 100% crystal clear WHY it's disabled. Instead, display a message or whatever explaining why something can't be done.

I have been a firefox user since it's beginning. from my online reading other users are having this same problem. This feels too sensitive and I am not making a deliberate extra push to bring this up - is there a way of making it harder to appear?

I've tried on firefox 70.0.1, go to my account, privacy/security, and clicked enable 2step. i see the QR code come up, I use google authenticator to add a account, scan the QR code, the generator is successful and displays a timed key.
No amount of time or keys I've entered works. The page just tells me "Invalid two-step authentication code"
I've tried adding manually with a text key instead of QR and still the same thing.

Normally when I close three windows with a number of tabs, they open up without any problem. Sometimes I open one of the closed windows by opening recently closed windows. This time nothing comes up. And the recently closed windows (and tabs) is empty. Also, Bing has become my home page, which I would never chose myself. It happen 7th December 2019.
Any Idea what casuses this. It is very anoying, since I cant remember all websites I visited or rather saved.

I want to disable private mode via a policies.json file, but it doesn't work. Firefox says that "policy service is inactive" I enabled the debugging for policies via about:config, but the log doesn't give anything that forwards towards my policies.json file.
I'm running Fedora 31 linux. The exact same policies.json file does work on my Ubuntu machine, but not this one.
