I want to migrate from Outlook 2010 to Thunderbird on Windows 10. I installed Thunderbird 31.8.0 and attempted to use the Import tool, but Thunderbird seems not to find anything to import. It might be that I have Outlook installed in a non-standard location; can I point Thunderbird to that location somehow?

I am using Firefox Browser V81.0 (64-bit) on MacOS Catalina and I'm experiencing issues with downloading files specifically from Google Drive. I can download other files using Firefox, but it doesn't work when using GDrive. I know it's an issue with Firefox because I've tried downloading the GDrive files using Safari and it's fine.

What happens is I'll click download and then there is no prompt that asks me if I'd like to download the file.

I also looked at this thread and followed the troubleshooting measures (including clearing the browser cache and starting Firefox in Safe Mode), but it did not solve the problem: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1157677]

I've also tried un-installing/re-installing Firefox. And I have my adblocker disabled for Google Drive.

Any suggestions for how to resolve the problem?

I have Thunderbird 68 installed on one PC and just installed Thunderbird 78 on another. I was able to configure all the mail accounts etc. OK but having problems with the Address Book. I exported them from Thunderbird 68 (2 files) and that seemed to go OK. I then tried to import them into Thunderbird 78 and it gave some errors but it also created duplicate Address books. 2 Personal and 2 Collected.

How do I have them imported and saved into the Address books that are already there?

Any tips to get this to work?

Hello my ISP migrated all mailboxes and switched them from POP3 to POP; and smtp in smtps I made the changes in each email address. They have been taken into account but I cannot view them in registered IDENTIFIERS; therefore I cannot receive emails because they are not recognized. What should I do ? if I recreate my addresses with these new parameters, will my messages, archives etc disappear. How to solve the problem ? Thank you for your help. in addition it would be good to have a space in FRENCH.

I am trying to migrate my profile from one machine to the other. I have manged to do this sucessfully and the first time I open thunderbird the mail is all there, everythign works sending recieving etc. But if I close it and re-open, or if I open again after a shut down or restart the frames are completely blank and even the tabs for actions at the top don't show unless I repeatedly double click on them. then they don't actually do anything anyway.

 I have followed on seperate occasions, the instructions for copying the profile folder contents and then becasue I was having trouble, using Moz backup. I keep getting the same issue.

Copy files to the right place, click thunderbird everything loads and functions that first time, then when its been closed again and reopened, I just get blank frames. Please help... I just can't get what I am doing wrong. Thanks in advance

Since I am unable to find any forum dedicated to add-ons I'll post my question here and hope for the best. How do I transfer my FVD Speed Dial cells in my old laptop (win 7) to Firefox in my new laptop (win 10). Please don't tell me I'm going to have to redo each one by hand. I did check the Export button on Speed Dial but it doesn't transfer the custom pictures. Is there an easier way to do this? Like maybe moving a specific file(s)? Thank you - Sharon D.

How can set on which folder, actually other partition and folder than OS system, the Thunderbird store the emails?

From a fresh install, 1/ I started Thunderbird, 2/ set my hotmail account and Thunderbird started downloading the messages and creating reproducing my email tree structure. 3/ Without waiting the full download I closed TB

4/ I checked .thunderbird folder I see "profiles.ini" and "installs.ini" files as well as 2 folders <random_string>.default <random_string>.default-release

5/ In the profiles.ini I do see not see a relationship with my hotmail.

6/ under <random_string>.default-release/ImapMail/outlook.office365.com/ I see my hotmail account folder structure

7/ I cut & paste the <random_string>.default-release to the new partition (non OS)

The initial profiles.ini is [Profile1] Name=default IsRelative=1 Path=7xaim9be.default Default=1

[Profile0] Name=default-release IsRelative=1 Path=eatrfwpe.default-release

[General] StartWithLastProfile=1 Version=2

I start TB, it request if I start with the "default-release" profile which I do, finally it prompts "Your Thunderbird profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible"

A year ago I asked how to stop mozmsgs files being created. The answer worked. I have reinstalled Thinderbird in a new win 10 machine and these mozmsgs files are created.

I followed the advice from the previous reply, which was to untick the windows search box in Thunderbird, but that does not stop the moxmsgs files being created.

I have been using ff on Android for years. Now maybe one year i have not been able to find my downloads ANYWHERE on the phone. Downloads also seems to take for ages to complete. And when it completes it may be i can open it once by clickin the notification its ready, but after that it dissapears.

I have read some people have been having this issue for years also. I think its something what ff wont fix. Do i need to change the the browser just for this idiotic reason?

Hello, I am on a MacBook Pro I was facing some issue with Firefox , which did not go even after refresh , so I decided to reinstall I used Appcleaner to uninstall Firefox , including the saved state and plist file.However , after uninstallation , I noticed there were some files under Library~Caches and Library~Application Support.I deleted these files by mistake . I would like to know if deleting these files would affect Firefox if I reinstall it Thanks in advance
