Whenever i attempt to save my passwords or login, it will not be saved in the browser. It will also prompt me to enter in my primary password to view saved logins which are still not saved in the browser. I have enabled autofill on the account but the issue continues to happen.

So I looked for the humor in it, but then remembered that since you "partner" with the cursed WEF, it's more likely an expression of a severe mental illness that characterizes all who "partner" with them, & thus only deranged types might find funny.

I'm getting warning emails (2 so far) that windows 8.1 will no longer be supported after I think the end of this year and that I should buy windows 11. Since I use firefox exclusively, does this warning affect me? I'm not very computer savvy and am not sure what is the relationship mozilla firefox to windows (I think it's microsoft windows). I guess this computer has windows 8.1 but I'm not sure. Also, awhile back, microsoft edge showed up on my laptop but I've never even opened it, not even sure what it is. Windows 8.1 would not load last Wednesday, so I "refreshed" it using F10; which stated all files and apps would be retained (what a lie.) Most apps were disabled, or removed, and needed to be re-loaded, as well as about 200 updates which needed to be downloaded, and still being downloaded. When re-loading Firefox my previous bookmarks were not retained, although I think may have located them via a Microsoft remedy (Firefox remedies have been fruitless.) They are not not the old Firefox folder (my most recent entry was 2019,) and not in the places Firefox has suggested looking. I will backup my current 5 days worth of bookmarks, when all of the downloads are current, and try to download the Microsoft suggestion. My question is; why are they NOT automatically saved? And if somebody has a remedy for me please send it as I will not do anything with my bookmarks for a few days.

Hi. Today after booting up the laptop I got the message in the screenshot from Avast antivirus. Can you help me determine whether it is a false positive? I opened firefox once, I had no connection to the internet (website not found errors), then closed firefox, opened it again and then the message popped up.

L.S., by installing the latest download all my passwords are gone. I ask you urgently to let me now how to undo the latest installation (I believe it was yesterday) . I'm really very disappointed. I do not know all the passwords by heart. Please help me ASAP.

Hi, I receive every week a newsletter, where are listed special offers more info, etc. Firefox always blocks this page and redirect it to 404 page of this website. However, when I copy the same link from the newsletter and load it to Chrome, there is no problem. Here is the example: 'Actual Link: 'https://www.newsletter.reallusion.com/click.html?x=a62e&lc=K7G&mc=b&s=wm4&u=v&z=SOOKj4J& Result in Firefox: https://www.newsletter.reallusion.com/error404.html This is very annoying and makes me to want to switch to Chrome as a default browser unless there is an option in Firefox how to fix it.

Where or to whom can I send a request / recommendation / beg to get the Firefox browser actually to change something? I know what the community will say -- asked and answered. And no disrespect to the community at all -- it's very valuable and has been helpful to me -- but I am interested in putting this request before someone at Mozilla / Firefox who actually has the authority to decide it and do it.

FYI, not to be too mysterious about it, I think the Privacy & Security setting on Notifications would be improved by putting in a permanent option to let a user stop notifications when he or she has taken a screen shot. Allowing it to be paused now requires the user to go back in and change the setting each time he or she opens Firefox. For me, that's dozens of times a day.

On a broader scale, why not give the user the option permanently? We are, I hope, a land and community of people who prefer choice over mandates, even partial ones, when the substance of the choice or mandate does not pose a risk to others.

I listen to songs online from a website Naija Crawl. Some of its songs or pages crash when I use FireFox browser but work properly in other Browsers.

I have long used multirow bookmark toolbar extension to give me 4 rows of bookmarks across the top of my Firefox window on Windows 10. After updating to this latest version, the extension is gone. Any mention of it in about:config is gone. I don't know if it ever was mentioned in userChrome.css but it's not there either. It's as though it never existed. WTH?

Can anyone suggest how to get a multirow display of my toolbar bookmarks? Thanks in advance.

On a related rant: This is why I hate upgrading Firefox. Something useful and common sense always breaks. I'm going to open a separate question to figure out how to get the cursor focus back into the Google search box when I open a new tab using Google as the home page. None of the previous solutions is working with this version. This break in basic functionality has happened after many different upgrades of Firefox and I am frankly sick of fixing the same ridiculous problem over and over.

Is there any clear way to prevent Firefox from automatically downloading and installing updates? I had checked the setting to prevent it being done without my choosing to do so: "Check for updates but let you choose to install them" but Firefox did not comply. What can a user do if Firefox will not comply with its own settings?

In government it's called autocracy, elitism and the only ones who like it are the ones in charge. Is that what's going on with Firefox?

Windows 8.1, Firefox 99.0.2, eMail program part of Microsoft Office365 (deployed by university IT department) Login process worked fine for a month or so after implementation of a 2-level authentication (password plus a second method of user's choice - I chose a USB-flash device which [on request] sends a code for 2nd verification). All of the above still works, except that once logged in, the system asks me if it should remember me, or not (i.e., store a cookie or not, for future convenience). I always click "No". Now, when I do that, I get an error number 500, which is completely non-committal: "Something Went Wrong" - with a long garbage code. (See attachment for sample.) Results of tests to see what's wrong: 1) works fine (able to complete eMail login) under Microsoft Edge; 2) works fine on my laptop, running Windows 8.1 and Firefox 94; 3) on the 'problem' computer (desktop), I uninstalled Firefox 99 and downloaded/installed Firefox 93 - "500" error persisted. Just today: removed Firefox/Mozilla (including all folders/files, and Registry entries) then re-installed version 99. Still doesn't work. Let me know what else you need to know.
