This seems to happen on an annoyingly frequent basis. Since restarting my Windows 10 PC Firefox has decided to ignore the settings and scrolling the mousewheel causes it to go back/forward in the history rather than down the page.

I've noted there are questions/solutions to this going back to 2007. None solve my issues with it.

middlemouse.contentLoadURL is false mousewheel.default.action is set to 1

Any advice would be greatfully recieved.

Printing is damaged. All margins are set to zero. When you look at the print preview, you can see that the width of the document must be smaller and the height must be larger. With the red boxes, I made sure that it was A4. It is displayed correctly in other browsers, but not in Firefox. See the screenshot. What can I do?

When I try to attach a file to an email send in Gmail, nothing happens. The upload bar shows no progress and the email sits in the draft folder. The size of the file has no bearing on the problem. I've tried running in Safe Mode and even did a clean reinstall but it didn't help. The problem does not occur with the same accounts in Chrome or Opera; only in Firefox. I've tried everything recommended here, but nothing helped.

For some reason I cannot see comments on the website for Refinery 29 anymore. This started a couple months ago. I can see it if I use Edge. I have tried numerous things, disabling the tracking, disabling the adblocker, deleting cookies for the website. Any suggestions?

Hello, firefox doesn't start maximized, i tried to click on icon and select Maximized. Or i tried to put command, after a target, didn't work either. Any ideas how to fix this ? Thanks!

I get this message on one specific website, every time I visit. It happens on other pages, but not continually, and not regularly.

Is there a remedy? Updated recently and do not want to have to reset or do anything drastic.

Video plays fine, from sites I visit, like YouTube and Vimeo, while using Firefox. But I moved from my home town some years back, and I fortunately found out, that the Funeral Home there, offered email alerts when someone passed away. Some alerts, had special Memorial Video's of the deceased along with their family. It's very nice that as we age, occasional Obituaries would bring back special memories to some of us. I switched to Firefox some time back, as I was tired of dealing with Chrome all the time, and this is what I discovered: In Chrome and Firefox both, the email alerts are based in HTTPS:, and are of the MP4 video format. They play just great, in Chrome, but in Firefox, the area inside an Obituary Alert, where the video is located, ONLY HAS A BIG BLANK SPACE, that shows nothing at all. The MP4 Video, is not present. This Obituary, is what I am speaking of - https://www.vincentfuneralhome.net/obituary/john-herpin-sr, who is the father of a friend I graduated with. Towards the bottom, right after the name Marguerite Herpin and before Sign Guestbook, is a big blank space, where the video is shown to exist, in Chrome. Is there a setting I need to change or make something else happen, so that I can start seeing the MP4 video, is there to be played? Thank you in advance.

I give up. Ever since the 77.0.1 update nothing seems to want to load without a lot of work on my part. Gmail doesn't load more than half the time. Weird things happen on the screen occasionally and some photos don't load properly. I've tried all the suggested fixes. I'm using other browsers until this is fixed.

I have checked all settings and even uninstall ad-ons, it first started happened on my work computer. Thought it was the computer hardware or something. But now I got a laptop and it happened as well. I don't know what's causing the issue or how to fix it.

It's very frustrating because I can't really read well what it says now. I have attached a screenshot of the problem and it happens on almost every website

The site at https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?from_extension=gmail_privacy_tracker#inbox has experienced a network protocol violation that cannot be repaired.

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because an error in the data transmission was detected. How do I fix this? I can log in fine with Chrome etc....

Hello, after my PC died and got a new one plus a new mobile it sync everything but my passwords. Strange thing is all passwords are still in my android tablet firefox, which I have connect and trying to sync, but with no luck so far. There are thousands of passwords there from many years and I'm afraid if tablet fails I will lost everything. BTW it cannot get/or send passwords from chrome or I could have shift passwords to other devices through chrome. Something change regarding passwords lately? Thanks in advance.

I would like to preface this With the statement that l am using the software on a fresh install of Windows 10, which has been updated, on a Samsung Galaxy Book 2.

when clicking links, the software will often, but not always, freeze. When this happens, the program will always pick up where it left off only once the cursor leaves the window(in this case, I hover my S pen outside the Window). It then loads the page as normal.

needless to say, this is very odd, and it would be beneficial to know if this bug is reproducible w/ other configurations given how unique my setup is.

I have recently changed my first choice browser to Firefox. But when connecting to my bank the F-secure bank safe connection doesn't open (it still does on Edge).

When searching solutions I found on F-secure support that a requisite for bank protection on Firefox was to active an add-on in Firefox called "Browsing Protection by F-Secure". But I can't find it. Is this Firefox add-on deleted? (I have surched the archive/store.)

Do you have any other solutions how to activate the F-secure bank safe connection, and some kind of F-secure browsing protectiona s well?

Can't download files in Firefox. Keep getting error message saying source file could not be read. Have tried all the suggestions I've found on the web to fix the problem, but nothing works. Tried refreshing Firefox and uninstalling and then reinstalling Firefox, but that didn't solve problem. No problem downloading files with Chrome.

In Firefox 74, I would like to make the default start page dark. Plugins will not work for this, and an I have not seen, option in the settings. I searched and I didn't see anyone ask this specific question. Thanks in advance!
