Dear sirs,

I have been a loyal longtime firefox/mozilla user going back to netscape in the 1980s. I am contemplating changing my default browser to safari and stopping using firefox. I am a research scientist and infectious disease specialist. My publications can easily be found by googling/searching "Stephen Beres". I am having a difficulty that when I connect to the National Center for Biological Information (NCBI) Microbial Genomes Database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genome/browse#!/prokaryotes/) to search genetic/genomic information for microbial pathogens relevant to my research, the page in firefox no longer displays properly allowing me to conduct searches of the database. This is not a problem if I switch to safari and plug in the exact same URL. I cannot be loyal to firefox if it does not work.

LasVegasRich@gmail.com Windows 7 Pro PC. Mozilla Firefox. DuckDuckGo search engine. ExpressVPN.

When I try to Forward a gmail post with either a CC: or BCC: Command, my Contacts List doesn't load. Initially, I see an "X" in the right-hand corner

followed in less than a second, by another "X" superimposed over the first one. What might be causing this? I (reluctantly) loaded Google Chrome and made it

my default browser, after which, my Gmail worked properly. Assuming, then, that the problem is being caused by the Firefox connection to the Google servers,

I uninstalled Chrome with the Revo Uninstaller Pro and reviewed the Firefox settings.

My Firefox Extensions are thus: AdBlocker for YouTube, Disable HTML5 Autoplay, DuckDuckGo Maps, DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials, Enhancer for YouTube,

ExpressVPN, HTTPS Everywhere, LastPass, Malwarebytes, Online PDF Editor, Pinned Google Calendar, Return YouTube Dislike, SponsorBlock for YouTube, Video

DownloadHelper, and YouTube High Definition.

My Security Suite: Windows Defender, Malwarebytes Premium, SuperAntiSpywarePro, CCleaner Pro.

Hi all,

I have a site that I am working on for myself. Its a WordPress site using a commercial theme. The problem I have is that I am not showing as secure in the address bar when opened in Firefox. Its fine in other browsers but Firefox tells me that I have insecure content with the message " Parts of this page are not secure (such as images) " and shows the exclamation mark by the padlock in the address bar.

I have installed a plugin called SSL Insecure Content Fixer and tried various setting but without success. I have also checked my site with https://www.whynopadlock.com/ and passed with flying colours so at a bit of a loss now.

If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

Many thanks, Chris

The attached image shows Chrome and Firefox accessing the exact same URL at the exact same time. Chrome is successful, Firefox is not (actually, fails over and over). So . . . wut? Clearly not a network problem, clearly not an accessibility problem, there is no firewall or proxy and Firefox is able to access other sites. Only this one is a problem. At least, so far. Security setting is Standard.

After making a jump to FF 105, my virtual bookmark function started landing on different places each time I invoked it, even though I wasn't changing the window.pageYOffset value. Now after updating to FF 106, where I had the option of setting that value using the onLoad option, the page remains absolutely blank until I confirm or reject the window.pageYOffset value. Since I cannot see where on the page I am positioned (because it won't finish loading) it is now useless. This tool had been my most frequently used function for many years as I could reposition to a desired location by merely pressing my home key. OnKeydown it would jump to the top of the page and onKeyUp, it would return me to virtual bookmarked position, no matter where I was on the page. For some of my pages, I would invoke it more than once in less than a minute. It was really useful!. (Now it is useless!) These problems happened immediately after each FF update.

I have even completely disabled the pop-up blocker in Firefox to try to fix this problem, I tried running in troubleshooting mode but nothing I do can make this web page load correctly.

I have previously found problems with pop-ups being blocked but me not being notified at some other sites too, especially the Epic Games site which is completely unusable using Firefox because Firefox blocks login and verification pop-ups, doesn't tell me it has done so, and cannot be prevented from doing so.

I have attached a screenshot of this site in the latest version of Firefox and the latest version of Opera, a minute or two apart.

Since the update to Firefox 112.0.2 (64-bit), Twitch no longer works in Firefox. Twitch works like normal on other devices and in other browsers still. Other sites with videos, live videos, and streaming work like normal still in Firefox so far. Twitch will either not play videos at all, or it will play for several minutes and then stop working. I have followed all the troubleshooting steps Twitch tech support has offered, and it still does not work in Firefox. I have looked at and changed and reset almost every Firefox setting, tried Twitch with and without extensions active, cleared the Firefox startup cache and refreshed Firefox, deleted cache and cookies, restarted Firefox and my entire computer, and Twitch still will not work in Firefox. Twitch worked perfectly normally before this most recent Firefox update. Please, please, please, please resolve this issue right away. I do not know how much longer I can continue to use Firefox if the program will not work for all the web pages I need. Please resolve this right away.

The culprit was a pre-installed PC power settings controller called "Control Center 3.0" developed by Clevo. I think I had opened it just once when I first bought my laptop to set the LED lighting scheme of my keyboard, but it could also control power settings and always booted in the background on startup. This application was preventing hardware acceleration in Firefox.

After uninstalling "Control Center 3.0" youtube video playback on Firefox works perfectly, but I can no longer enable the keyboard backlighting - a worthwhile tradeoff in my eyes.

Despite all my searching, I have not been able to find a solution to this issue that works for me. When I start watching a youtube video, it plays fine, zero interruptions. However the moment I touch the seek bar, pause the video for a moment, anything that interrupts the playback, I cannot watch more than 2 seconds of video before it will pause as if buffering for a few seconds, play again for a few seconds, pause again etc etc. over and over and over, making it impossible to watch any video at that point. Refreshing the page will fix it, but if I have to use the seek bar to get back to where I was, then the exact same issue will re-occur. There is zero issue with playback on other browsers, such as chrome or edge. I have tried enabling/disabling hardware acceleration, various codecs, user agents, refreshed firefox, started it in troubleshooting mode etc, nothing has helped.

Hello,

I have been using Discord in my browser for a fair amount of time now, and Firefox has always worked, but there has always been a catch, that being when in a call, the connection seems to drop in and out fairly randomly.

I have been unable to find a solution to this problem online, and I don't have the necessary knowledge of WebRTC to properly diagnose the issue myself. Currently, my best guess is that something between Firefox's WebRTC implementation and Discord's WebRTC implementation disagrees.

A snippet of my DevTools log while the issue is occurring looks like this:

``` [RTCControlSocket] Heartbeat ACK received ed46a18578285e5c048b.js:241:118 [UnifiedConnection(default)] iceConnectionState => disconnected ed46a18578285e5c048b.js:241:118 [UnifiedConnection(default)] Connection state change: CONNECTED => DISCONNECTED ed46a18578285e5c048b.js:241:118 [RTCConnection(628634731814322267, default)] RTC media connection state change: RTC_CONNECTED => DISCONNECTED ed46a18578285e5c048b.js:241:118 [RTCConnection(628634731814322267, default)] RTC connection state: RTC_CONNECTED => RTC_DISCONNECTED ed46a18578285e5c048b.js:241:118 [RTCControlSocket] Sending heartbeat ed46a18578285e5c048b.js:241:118 [RTCControlSocket] Heartbeat ACK received ed46a18578285e5c048b.js:241:118 Invalid URI.
