I have DNS over HTTPS enabled to Cloudflare (also tried using Custom 1.1.1.1 version) Have noticed over the last few days that a bad domain name will take me to a searchassist.verizon.com page.

I had been using Mozilla for years with no password issues, but as of late I continue to get the following error message:

Sending of password for user oneilfamily4 did not succeed. Mail server incoming.Verizon.net responded:Authentication failed.

I have three different Verizon.net email accounts that I use regularly. A few weeks ago one of them became unable to SEND messages using Thunderbird. The error message pop-up when trying to send is: Outgoing Server SMTP Password Required--Enter your password for (account name) for smtp.verizon.net - I enter the password, sometimes clicking "Use the password manager to save the password", and I get another pop-up: "Login Failed" -Login to smtp.verizon.net failed. with the options to "try again" or "Enter New Password" or "Cancel". I have tried all of the other proposed fixes for similar problems, and they did not work.

What I tried: I turned off all security software and tried sending. - No success I deleted the outgoing server and added it back. - No success I deleted the account and outgoing server on Thunderbird and added it back - No success I deleted the account and outgoing server on Thunderbird, went to AOL(which now provides Verizon.net mail) and changed the password, then added the account back to Thunderbird - NO success.

All three accounts have continued to work fine on AOL internet mail (using Firefox browser) and also on my two Android devices as I went through all of these gyrations for Thunderbird.

Any Suggestions?

Cannot install add-ons because of connection error

No add-ons coming from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/ can be installed in my Mac, all because of a single issue ("Download failed. Please check your connection."). I've noticed that images in this site cannot load properly as well. I checked the console and it seems that the GET request was responded with 404. Install requests sent to other websites seem to be working. I successfully installed zotero from its website and some other add-ons via downloaded .xpi files. However, some .xpi's cannot be installed directly either. I got a message saying this add-on appears to be corrupt.

I duckduckwent this issue and tried all the following solutions (though none has helped): 1. Added "xpinstall.enabled => true" and "xpinstall.signatures.required => false" in about:config; 2. Downloaded the .xpi file directly using other browsers, but when I tried to add it manually, I got the message saying this add-on is corrupt. 3. I tried InstallTrigger.install({URL: "https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/file/1168281/adblock_plus-3.4.2-an+fx.xpi?src=search"}) in the console and still got the connection error. I clicked on several install links in add-ons websites and they came back with 404. I think these links were redirecting me to addons.mozilla.org.

I don't have any antivirus software in my Mac, at least not that I know of. I enabled "allow site to install add-ons" and "allow pop-ups", etc.
