When I opened Thunderbird on my PC this morning, the text of messages received no longer displays. What is displayed is a link to the website to view the message. How can I recover the display please. Thank you. Elise

Having followed the instructions on the desktop, I've copied the QR code to get Thunderbird on my Mobile but the only folder appearing in each of the three email accounts is the Outbox. How do I sync the other folders please?

Running Thunderbird 140.6.0esr in Windows 11. This afternoon I found that one of my three accounts no longer shows up in the folder pane, though it still appears normally in the account settings tab. I can still send mail from it, but can't receive any. The other two accounts appear in the folder pane as usual and can send and receive normally.

Any help getting the account back into the folder pane would be appreciated. -- tralfaz

Over the last week I have been experiencing issues that prevent me from using Thunderbird on my computer. It had been working for a few weeks prior, with emails sending without issue. Without any apparent cause, and with the correct credentials set in my account settings, emails are no longer sending. They continue to be received with no issue, and I can move emails into folders etc.., which I immediately see reflected in Webmail. I get the attached error, every time I try to send an email, no matter which address I am trying to contact. I can log in to my account with the same credentials on different software on the same computer, and I have no issues with sending emails from that software, so I can't see how this would be an issue with my computer. I have tried removing the account, and adding it again. The credentials are accepted, but the issue persists. The email also works without any issues via Webmail. I have contacted the hosting company for support, but they have confirmed that this is an issue with Thunderbird. Please can somebody help?

Hello, I've just downloaded and started to use Mozilla Thunderbird on my Windows 11 desktop, and have encountered a strange problem. Whenever I compose a new email - it contains a lot of gibberish that looks a bit like a mixture of HTML coding and binary. I've tried changing the format of new emails between HTML and Plain Text and nothing seems to overcome this issue.

Artifacts have appeared within the program. Everything works fine in other programs.

This appeared after the last update. Judging by the picture, it's possible some of your icons are broken.

Please fix this. I can't use the program now.

I just got a new Windows 11 computer. After installing Thunderbird 147.0.2 I noticed there were no columns at the top of the message pane as there had been in the past. I read articles about how to add the columns but could not find the column icon or anything in the header area that allowed me to do what the articles recommended.

I want to add the columns for sorting purposes from time to time but I can't find a way to do it. HELP!!! Please?

Sorry if this is already a problem mentioned but can't find it so here we go. If I receive an email with a link or several links and I click on them I get this noisy message saying there is no app associated with this link. This just started a couple of days ago. I didn't do anything different that I know of. Perhaps this is just a new problem with that awful OS W11.

So, any clues as to what has caused this and what would I look for in app association?

the problem is that when I receive an email it goes straight to delete folder there is no where I can set the filters to filter of my choosing, I have lost losing all in coming mails I am talking with telstra as one page said it is an IMAP problem in that it just removes emails for no reason but in your problems page it says I can change the filter settings but in the settings there is no place to change filter rules

I am getting very frustrated  after 6 hours and not getting anywhere  I have uninstall Thunderbird and reinstalled  but nothing changed

Have been using Thunderbird on my laptop. Comcsst just changed their email system to yahoo email. I have followed instructions and changed it on my IPhone. When I did that my Thunderbird on my laptop no longer works. What do I need to do? I would like to use Thunderbird on a shared computer at my universitys lab space (it is mainly my PC but other people have access and use it sometimes). However, as we are requested to keep mails confidential I thought it would be as easy as just setting a primary password and thunderbird would not start if that password is not set. However, that proofed to be a wrong assumption. Instead if I just cancel the dialog it will open and still display all the locally stored mails.

We are using IMAP server and I already set up that the mails are not stored locally. Still, some mails that I have used recently are visible. I am aware that there would anyway be the local copy in the profile folder but I guess none of the people sharing that computer would take the efford to check that, so I would be fine if I could simply prevent thunderbird from starting without the primary password.

Is there any option for that or any extention that would do so?
