Hello. I experience a problem that occurred 2 days ago. Firefox seems to ignore my preferences of opening previous windows and tabs, also it ignores pinned tabs. Some of websites disappear from the history (let's say i opened few windows to check if tabs will be saved by firefox, closed browser, opened it after few minutes: tabs are gone, history has only few of websites that were open. I tried to look for the problem by myself but failed. I will be grateful for your reply, thank you in advance.

When I click on the home button, I expect the browser to navigate to the home page. This works on all browsers that I know, aside from Firefox for Android. On Firefox for Android, it opens the home page in a new tab. This is not configured by me, it's certainly not expected, it's not intuitive, and I don't see a way to disable this "feature".

Is this a bug? If it is a "feature", how can I disable it?

Note that the home page itself is fine, and it offers exactly what I want it to have. There's no need to change the behaviour or looks of the home page itself.

Since updating to 123.4 it frequently happens that I tap a link in a website and it loads about:blank and won’t stop doing that until I force quit Firefox and restart it

Facebook used to be stable so while I was writing something, I could open other tabs to research things and go back to facebook and pick up where I was. SOMETHING HAPPENED some months ago, maybe a year (more?) and now I only have a short window to return BEFORE THE TAB REFRESHES and FLUSHES WHAT I WAS WORKING ON, DOWN THE TOILET! Is FACEBOOK OR MOZILLA DOING THIS AND CAN IT BE STOPPED!!!!

When I open Firefox to my home page any additional tabs that I open keep crashing. The page tells me that it has crashed and there is a restore tab button there but that doesn't work and the crash message just comes back.

I'm trying to configure Firefox not to switch from the current tab, when I open multiple bookmarks by either middle click bookmark folder or right click the bookmark folder and select Open All Bookmarks. I've already set about:config browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInBackground True browser.tabs.loadDivertedInBackground True browser.tabs.loadInBackground True

If I'm browsing a page, and then decide to open several bookmarks that are in a bookmark folder, either via middle click or right click->Open All Bookmarks, Firefox will still switch to the first open bookmark.

I've tried Shift+Middle click and this one opens the bookmarks, without switching from the current tab. And Ctrl+Shift+right click->Open All Bookmarks and this one opens the bookmarks, without switching from the current tab.

So how do I configure Firefox to just use middle click on a bookmark folder, and then not have it switch to the first open bookmark? Thank you!

Hello. I was told viaApp Store review to come here and describe my issue. So I was hoping to upload my video to better show off what I am having major issues with. Unfortunately I cannot. So I'll settle with uploading the screencaps of what I see Everytime I go to a different tab in my plethora of tabs open.

The best way I can describe it is that I jump around tabs when I focus in on one, even if it's brief. And it's annoying to find out where I left off Especially when I open a new tab in the background. No other browser does that and if they did, it's been long fixed already.

So starting from the Homepage, I scroll up a bit to open up the next screenshot of Otakon. Once I go back to the tab page, I jump to a different area entirely, the last tab no where to be found but still present. So I then scroll up more to the definition of 'ambition' and then go back to the tab page. Now I'm back to where the Otakon tab was at. It's just lots of that using the browser and it's annoying especially if I'm doing a little shopping.

When I’m on Mozilla, if I minimize the tab I’m on or close it out lighter when I reopen. It automatically opens a new tab instead of opening where I left off how do I correct this?

When I close a tab right before closing the app, it will be back when I return. the only way to prevent it is to load a different tab between closing the previous one and closing the app.

I have both Windows and Firefox listed for Firefox as my default browser. I have checked every default app and extension type and they are all directed to open in Firefox. Yet when I click on a web link using Firefox, it opens in Edge. Any help or insight into this is appreciated.

I have the Goodreads app installed on my OnePlus 8 running Android 13.1. When I get emails from members who comment, instead of the app opening Firefox opens a tab after having cleared defaults. I have also selected the Ask When opening settings but nothing changes. Please explain how to fix this. Thanks

If you type "% [search term]" in your search bar, it will try to search your existing tabs for any tabs that fit the criteria. The problem is, firefox is making odd decisions on what to display in the search results. I was under the impression that Firefox would prioritize the most frequently used tabs in the search results, but this no longer appears to be true, or the criteria used is more complex than that.

As an example, in the attached screenshot, i am searching for tabs with the keyword "Stellaris". But for some reason, Firefox refuses to show me any reddit tabs with "Stellaris" in them, and is instead showing a list of tabs that are much less frequently used.

Is there any way to get the search results to prioritize the most frequently used tabs, change what shows up in the search results, etc? I know i can type "stellaris reddit" to narrow down the search results, but i would prefer that the search results prioritize the msot frequently used tabs.

First, thank you for the answers. I have run into an issue and also have a follow-up question.

Follow up question: A while ago, I changed the autoplay settings in about:config, but I noticed they reverted to default. Do these settings reset with major browser updates? Or could it be that the settings' names changed, resulting in the default value being applied? Should I periodically check these values to ensure they haven't changed?

Issue: I updated the settings in about:config as mentioned in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1440060 by cor-el. It appears to have stopped the autoplay of videos. However, after browsing Google News and Yahoo News articles for about 30 minutes, my browser crashes. This happens under the same usage pattern as before. The browser becomes unresponsive, and if I click on anything, I see the rainbow Apple spinning wheel. Eventually, I have to force quit the browser. See attached.
