When I reopen a closed tab, sometimes it would just load the previous page rather than the last opened page. For example, if I was on the Guardian homepage and I clicked on an article, closed the tab, then reopened with Cmd+Shift+T, occasionally it would load the Guardian homepage instead. I can get back to the article by going back a page (Cmd + left arrow), which is kinda weird.

If I shutdown my computer while Firefox is open, it will start up automatically with all of my previous tabs open next time I turn on my computer. It does this faster than my VPN can start up, thus exposing my true IP to what ever sites I had open when I turned off my computer. Is there any way to make it so that Firefox doesn't do this?

After WIN10 did it's usual 2nd tues of the month update (9/2017) when I open FF to read yahoo mail a new tab will open and takes me to goMSNfwlink/hotmail/outlook etc. and MSN web site opens.

Mail tab remains unaffected.

Ok, it just did it while I am here (3X) Grrrrrrr. So it's not just mail page. My homepage is "blank page" I can find my way around without any help with just my bookmarks and search functions.

Windows will not allow me to revert to a saved restore point, so I can't do that. Error msg says 10 days have lapsed can't go back, contact sysadmin. More Grrrrrr : OS is Win10 FF 55.0 browser (used FF for years) Only add on are adaware and ublock Shockwave is disabled Ran MWB and Panda, no infections. Ready to edit reg, please point the way! thx in advance

Edited to add reg edit attempt

At work I have multiple larger screens than the laptop screen itself.

The only way to get rid of it is to close all open tabs.

MSN is my home page. I right click on links that I am interested in, choose "Open Link in a new tab" and they used to pop open on my tab line. Suddenly, when I upgraded to Firefox 63.0.1 it fails. It fails to open in a new window also. It just disappears.

Other web pages work just fine. So I am perplexed.

I used a .css command to fix the width of my tabs in FF 71, which works fine, but now, the tabs don't close up together after closing tabs. I get odd spaces between them and even at the beginning of the tab bar. (see image).

I don't use plug-ins for the tab parameters/behaviors, they're all .css- based.

The things I want:

- tabs below the bookmark toolbar. - Bookmark toolbar below the below the address bar. - Fixed width tabs (100 px). - Less height being used by the bookmark tool bar. (~30px). - Tab height a little larger than the bookmark height (~40px).

Over the years, I've sort of piecemealed the .css code and it's probably a blazing mess right now for what I want to have. My old .css worked GREAT in FF 70, but it doesn't in FF71. I probably need to have it cleaned up by someone who had a lot more experience than I do.

Any help at least getting my tabs to slide together when one is closed would be great!

Below is the contents of my userChrome.css:
