I've synced all my data (including add-ons, passwords, bookmarks, etc) to my firefox binded account on fedora linux then change my linux distro and re-setup firefox on Manjaro KDE, login and etc

found out that everything synced but my previous add-ons and open tabs are gone for good I've so many opened tabs are my custom add-ons settings on so many add-ons for personal preferences are gone

Hi. I want to sync with my work pc (it used to work just fine but when I synced to a newer third pc- successfully- it just stopped). When i try to sign in on the work pc it asks me for the primary password which it then FAILS to recognise to allow me to proceed! What's going on? I can't even log onto sites with saved passwords anymore. Any help appreciated.

I know the answer to this is probably going to be along the lines of this is not possible, but I thought I'd ask anyway since none of the information is entirely clear. Or answers my exact question.

I have one desktop install of firefox and I have two android ones. I have all three synced to one firefox account, so it's easy to grab links I saved while wiki diving on something. While this works perfectly for the desktop side of things, the mobile side is where the issue arises.

Currently all my bookmarks from both mobile firefox accounts are merged into one long set, regardless of device. While the desktop ones have their own folder. Is there a way to keep the bookmarks from each device in their own separate folder? Like say instead of having one big mobile bookmarks folder, having one named DeviceX, and the other DeviceY?

It's still semi functional on desktop where I have more screen real estate and have to deliberately go to the mobile bookmarks folder, but on the phones it can be confusing when a set of bookmarks from device 1 mixes randomly into those of device 2. As it can become a lot harder to keep track of things.

Now I know one can turn off syncing of bookmarks. This is not what I'm looking for as I do still want to be able to share them between all three devices. Just have them more organised.

I also know one can make different accounts for say work or personal, but again I want them all to sync, just not mix them into one list.

So in short is there a way to be able to have two android devices into a threeway sync and keep the bookmarks separate? Or is my only option the round abound way of making subfolders and hope I remember to save in those?

I have two notebooks with Firefox (NB1 and NB2). NB2 rebooted and Firefox restarted losing all open tabs; now I would like to bring the tabs from NB1 to NB2; both have synchronisation enabled, but when I go to ‘Settings, synchronisation’ on NB2 it says ‘Synchronising in progress’ and nothing happens. I've also tried going to NB1 and sending a tab to NB2; I select NB2 and nothing happens.

I'm able to sign in using the US sign in link for some reason. I'm not able to sign into Firefox overall though, so none of my bookmarks etc. are synced. I have Firefox on Windows desktop and on my android phone. I have logged into both. When I click on "tabs from other devices" I only see tabs from another PC I use.

So i was using firefox in Linux recently and now because of linux issues, i switch back to windows. I logged in with same id but sync is not working. I had a long history of passwords, extensions and bookmarks. Also opened tabs and all but the account sync is not working. My work is trying to fire me because they say Firefox was mirroring my activity at home and vice versa. I.E If I opened a tab at home it when then open a tab and attempt to connect to same website on my work computer in the office.

I’m fairly certain it doesn’t cause that would be wildly unnecessary for what sync tabs is trying to accomplish but I used wireshark to watch for outgoing connections on my home desktop and opened a tab on my phone and my personal laptop and wireshark never detected outgoing connections to the tabs on other devices

I have used Firefox bookmarks via sync for 20 years!! My previous computer is bricked and cannot be accessed. I have a fancy sync code but when I download Firefox on my phone or new computer, it’s like I’m a first time user. It offers me a new sync code but won’t allow me to use what I have.
