All of a sudden, all my bookmarks are gone. I read the instructions on using the "Restore" function to find a backup. I am on a Mac, and I found all the backups of my bookmarks in Finder. BUT, when I go through the Restore function and click "Choose File" nothing happens -- I am not given any way to navigate to a location and select a file. HELP!!! I use my bookmarks daily in my job!

Old laptop died , its not repairable, but the SSD Hard drive is OK , all the data on it and software is intact , but only thing I cant find or access is Firefox bookmarks and thats bad as i use them for my work ...what can i do to recover my bookmarks ???

My previous post seems to have disappeared, so will try again. I am 85 years old and have been using Thunderbird fo over 15 years with out any problems. Afew days ago I tried to send an e-mail and didn't have any "Send" button. In trying fix, I some how deleted my contacts sidebar. I sill have my addresses book. I have tried everything to retrieve them but no luck. I tried removing Thunderbird and reinstall, but it comes back the same. I would appreciate an guidance in trying to resolve my problem. Thank You

I'm not sure whether i am in the correct forum. I have successfully copied to a USB stick the bookmarks from my old PC but, although I can open the html file and see them, I cannot see how to present them in the bookmarks menu. I am not recognising a simple "import" option such as I found with passwords. What am I missing

Hi, Today 8-7-25 Mozilla automatically upgraded to version 141.0.3. Now all of my bookmarks are gone. I can't find them on my pc. There are two profiles listed in the profile section. Neither seem to have my bookmarks. I have a lot of bookmarks and some are very needed. Please help me recover all of my bookmarks. Thank you, Geo

Hi. I accidentally deleted the "Today" subfolder that exists under the "History" section in Mozilla. How can I get it back? I'm not interested in getting the internet history from today back, just the folder. Thank you for your help.

I lost all my personal data on Firefox as soon as I changed the password and I did not know that you can lose everything that I had registered in the download box and the previous archive. Now I am very, very mentally disturbed and I do not feel safe and I am very sad about what happened to me. I am crying now. What should I do? My psyche is really broken due to the lack of information....

Firefox did an automatic update today. But now all of my saved bookmarks, saved passwords and items are gone in the new version. How can I retrieve them or return to my previous version of firefox?

Hi i have lost my bookmarks, comes up Import bookmarks, my sync is on, I have gone through and checked library and there are no backups, restore? No idea why this happened, they all just disappeared? Any other advice to try please?

Latest Firefox release update wiped out my bookmarks. Tried to restore a saved HTML version - and it says "this file doesn't include any bookmark data". (This is a "Firefox HTML Document" property type, saved using the BACKUP feature on w/n Firefox itself - using "manage bookmarks".)

I have just restarted my computer following installation of updated software. I find that Firefox has lost all my bookmarks. Are they stored somewhere, and if so how can I recover them?
