Firefox won't connect to websites but other browsers do.
I have tried the solutions from the article of the same name but it still won't work. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled several times but it still won't work

When I'm prompted to sign into with my cable provider I cannot select one. Clicking on one does nothing. I've experienced the same thing on ESPN's website when I want to filter a list of scores by conference, for example. The drop down box doesn't respond to whichever option I click on. I've tried clearing my cache and disabling any extensions that may prohibit pop-ups, etc. I've made exceptions for websites and tweaked my anti-virus. Firefox is up to date and I've tried running it in safe mode. Sometimes, randomly it seems, I can sign in with no problem, although the ESPN problem is persistent.

win 7 x64, 65.0.1 I changed the paging file from a dynamic value to a fixed one (twice as much RAM), after which firefox spontaneously began to absorb all the RAM, which subsequently led to the crash of firefox itself, and other applications (such as discord, gog galaxy, etc.). This does not happen all the time, I can use the browser for an hour, then the memory will start to disappear, or I can only launch the browser and it will immediately begin to absorb memory. After restarting browser, everything returns to normal and no problems are observed until the computer is restarted. How to fix it all?

The promo for it appeared on a major website and I foolishly clicked out of curiosity. Now it has reconfigured my new tab page in Firefox and apparently ditched my preferred search engine (DuckDuckGo). I've search how to uninstall it but have found nothing that fits the situation. Can anyone help?

Es wird nichts angekündigt und, wenn ich auf Ruhephase schalte, kann ich danach meinen Benutzer nicht mehr öffnen. Ich sehe ledigich einen schwarzen Bildschirm oder das Bild von Microsoft. Meistens warte ich bis zu einer Stund Bitte keine Anwesiungen für die Registry!!e, doch drehe dann beinhart ab, muß neu starten, wobei dann alles extrem lange braucht. Beim Start von Firefox erhalte ich natürlich eine Absturzmeldung (da ichihn nicht schließen konnte). Außerdem wird mir nie meine Standardsuchmaschine angezeigt, weder beim Start noch nach einer Suche über das Suchfeld (oben bzw. in neuem Tab). Bitte keinen Code oder Anweisungen für die Regsitry!!! Mein Laptop ist von Asus.

Hi I can't access my new website's cPanel login page using Firefox 62.0 because it 'times out' when I have my VPN service active. I have a Windows 10 PC and can access the cPanel login page using Chrome and IE with the VPN active. I can also access it from my iPhone. What would be stopping Firefox from accessing it? I have cleared the cache and allowed it in my firewall settings so an at a loss why. Thanks, David

I have to manually shut down the computer to make it stop loading new tabs with the phone number. When I re-start I need to close all the tabs it created (last time it was over 60 tabs). I think it is a bug in Firefox, or my version is defective. I have not yet tried to re-install Firefox.

I click on the icon as I always have. I see a spinning wheel and then it just disappears. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times. No change. I try running as administrator, again receive a spinning wheel which then disappears and no change. I'm using an HP laptop with Windows 7. The browser was working just fine 2 days ago (Saturday, Sept 22).

I am not on incognito mode and my recently closed tabs are all correct which shows that there is history being taken of my browsing. Why is my history not showing? I have to use XP ATM because of other software I have that doesn't like anything else!
Firefox can't play any videos anywhere in ordinary mode. In SAFE mode, it plays YouTube fine but not any streaming vids., it says 'no content with suitable MIME found' - that's probably not TOTALLY the right wording but the MIME part's right and the overall sense of what it's saying is correct. It can't play streaming video even on YouTube in any mode, though! I know it's not Windows XP because Chrome plays it all fine, it's just I don't like Chrome (feels like Big Brother is Watching Me!)

Yours puzzledly - I don't understand why starting in SAFE mode makes it able to play any vids. at all. I thought SAFE mode just turned off all plug-ins, yet if I turn off all plug-ins and start it normally it can't play any video. Only in SAFE mode. So SAFE mode must be doing something else apart from turning off plugins - but what!?!?!

After a recent automatic update my old problem with Firefox Quantum came back. Every time I open Firefox browser I get multiple 4-6 firefox.exe running in the background processes. When I go into details and try to end process tree it crashes my browser. When I open Firefox it starts all over again. I have gone into about:preferences and
De-select ‘Use recommended performance settings’ Set Content process limit value to ‘1’ from its default value
I have also gone into about:config and switched browser.tabs.remote.autostart to false. Still have the same problem.
