I am NOT a computer whiz, simply a user with minimal skills.
Can get to Tools, Account Settings, Privacy, but no "options"

I have a masterpassword set, but have difficulty to understand what purpose it serves.
1: Load Thunderbird 2: Click cancel when asked for a password(No password is being entered) 3: The password dialigbox closes and Thunderbird loads. 4: The dialogbox occurs again. 5: Click cancel four times(no password entered) and the dialogbox closes and I'm in in Thunderbird. 6: The unauthorize person can read my e-mails. 7: Not sure if he/she can send and receive messages.
Sorry for my limited english.

I have been experimenting with OpenPGP and S/MIME to see what fits best for my use case and decided to go with my S/MIME certificate. It works fine, I de-selected the PGP settings and removed the key, but for new emails, it still defaults to selecting PGP for digital signing, etc. Because no key is present it just does nothing. I need to manually click that button and choose S/MIME every time. `
Is there no way to have S/MIME as the default for new messages?
I have attached how the new email window looks by default and my end-to-end encryption settings. I would greatly appreciate any helpful directions on where to change the default. I searched through settings and online but found nothing about this.

Hello: Last time before today when I sent email was 23Oct 21! What fixed it was setting the outgoing server settings to "Authentication method: Password transmitted insecurely,and Connection security: none. I got a pop-up asking for my password,and my email was sent normally. My reason for posting this is to ask if this outgoing server setting is safe to use. I haven't tried this solution before,as I am very security conscious. I am attaching a pic of the settings. Thanks!

I'm being kicked and locked out of my accounts, my bank account is negative and they've managed to steal well over 30,000 ñow my banks are calling asking for money, I have cards and accounts open up in my name and my credit has plummeted drastically. I have 3 email addresses for family members thru aol/ Verizon. I had to get a new server password from them a few weeks ago, now whenever I try to send email it always asks for that accounts password. I have updated my SMTP settings to save password. For some reason it only saves the last smtp setting for all accounts. So if I send from aolsux@verizon.net when my son sends from spongebobrules@verizon.net the aolsux info is in his SMTP settings. I want to be able to close Firefox and have all cookies and site data removed - but I want to keep my history.
Checking the box to do just this in 'Privacy & Security' will delete cookies when I close Firefox - but all the site data remains. Under 'History' I have 'use custom settings' enabled, as well as 'remember browsing and download history'. I've tried various permutations of this, but can't get it to do what Firefox says it will.
Being able to do this is one of the main reason I want to use Firefox, but it doesn't seem to work. I have to manually delete both cookies and site data.
Any suggestions to try to delete cookies and site data when Firefox closes, but remember history?
When I clear the cookies and site data in the Privacy and security settings there always remains a 'rest' of 12.0 kb. Any idea what could be the cause?

For those that I trust, I indicate that I want them to remember this information, and for most I get an e-mail confirming that my device is registered. However, the next time I log in, I still have to go through the entire login. Is this a Firefox issue, and if so, how can I correct this?

Since the most recent FireFox update Safe Mode no longer works.
I can still login to the site and perform some rudimentary tasks but when I want to edit/view a payment I get the error message as posted.
If I use my Tablet to login I have no problem although the Tablet uses Chrome and not Firefox.
I can try the tablet with FireFox and report back.
Is their a log file or setting list that I can send that will help.

I am running beta 105.0b1 Thunderbird. All eMails from Yahoo are marked junk and I can not mark them not-junk. Any help!!!
